Chapter 13

[dominant female, submissive male, nightmare, fearful]

The day was bright again, unruffled by the growing chilly weather. Mrs. Maurya was scanning the students' canvas with a calm composition, helping them with mellow words like always.

Triya was busy having a full-blown conversation with Prisha, sitting right where she always does, right in front of Karan.

They seemed to be talking about something peculiar, that drew an astounded expression on Prisha's face. He wished to know what they were talking about, but couldn't hear a word.

His eyes were stuck on the expressions the two girls passed to each other, trying to read their lips to understand the conversation.

His sheer focus had frozen his hand that held the brush but increased the attention on the hand that held the hair clip she gifted him, caressing the apple on it with slow friction.

Suddenly, Triya stopped talking and went back to the canvas, giving her art a new color, not realizing his dagger-like eyes on her skin.

She also did not realize that her altered demeanor surged him back on his canvas in haste, yet he could not give full attention to it.

His head was filled with the memories of the dream from the day before, the word still ringing in his ears like a siren.

So, he put a full stop to his hand, caressing the hair clip in his other hand, just with more tension in his fingers, and called the name of the boy sitting beside him.

"What happened?" Assessed as always, Nitin's calm eyes noticed the turmoil in Karan's eyes, unaware of the things that happened until he told him every word of it.

"It's just a dream, Karan. You don't need to worry about every single thing." But how could he not worry?

It wasn't like things that were occurring in his life took place every day or had taken place before.

"But, what if it's a sign?" Karan suggested, prompting urgency in his tone. Nitin could just slowly blink at his words and gaze at him, losing his mind. "It's your fear talking." He answered as he included more stability in his tone and added, "Don't think much. Just have fun and everything will be fine."

Nitin had given him words of wisdom, but he could follow, with his coveting eyes that always went back to her, trying to find an answer in her actions.?

"When is she coming?" Triya questioned Prisha, standing at the gate of the college, waiting for the person to come, whom they said they would meet.

"Don't change the topic. She'll be here soon. How could you not tell me about such a thing?" Prisha was dealing with the anger and betrayal offered by Triya. At least in her eyes, it was.

"Stop talking like I murdered someone and did not include you." Prisha rolled her eyes at her words, accepting the defeat. "But how fast was it happened, that you could not tell me?"

"Like four or five days." Triya had spoken after much thinking, calculating the days in her head, which once again astounded Prisha.

"Four days? I'm right beside you all the time. How could you not have time to tell me?"

"Seems like I can't lie to you anymore." Shock will be a modest word for what Prisha felt at that moment. "There's more to the story?"

"I like him. He's very beautiful and I want him." Prisha was left frozen and quiet in her place, her eyebrows just raised and frozen on her. Triya's eyes, on the other hand, rummaged to ignore the reaction she was receiving, awaiting Prisha to break the hell upon her.

"On a second note, he is beautiful." As if pondering, Prisha spoke, returning the favor of shock to Triya, and added while Triya just gazed at her, dumbfounded. "Do you like him just because he's beautiful, or is there something more?"

"I never thought about that." Careful with words, so they were put through aligned to her mind, she added, "but he's very good in bed. He's exactly the type I like."

"That I understood when you asked me to meet Riya," Prisha answered, looking at the whipped face Triya had colored upon herself as she talked about his beauty. "I'm more shocked about the apple thing, though. I mean, how is this possible?"

"I know right, but it's extraordinary." With those dreamy words out of her mouth, that only complimented the finest art paused as her eyes found Riya striding their way.

"Have you thought about what you want to gift him?" Prisha has also noticed Riya. A character that considers herself a businesswoman and is too busy to talk to anyone.

She was someone who took no attitude from anyone. Even for Triya, she was a competition. And she did not disappoint the two of their eyes her as she asked. "What do you want?"

Before she could add another line to her words, both of them chanted before her, "We know you're busy."

"Okay. Good. What do you want?" Her eyebrow arose like the cranky kid yelling for his favorite toy, her arms crossed, stiff like her attitude.

"A lingerie for a guy. Do you have it?" In the same rigid tone, Triya spoke, mirroring her actions and expressions. The power was somewhat established by Triya, but Riya was no fool.

"Size?" Triya did not know what his body's preoptions were, but she knew how they felt in her hands. Her imagination for some reason began running at the wrong time and her senses had to be brought back by another question by Riya.

"If you don't know, don't waste my time. I have many customers waiting for me."

"Stopp riding your cranky horse and wait," Triya spoke and quickly called Karan, asking a simple question.

"What's your proportions?" Her sudden and weird question had to astound him and it did. He was taken aback but still answered with a stuttering tone.

"Thanks. I'll call you later." He did not even get the chance to ask her the time he could come and take his painting, left iced on the roadside.

"You'll get it in two days." Two days were way too long. Longer than the time Triya made her stand before her. Apparently, the longer you take to order, the longer time she takes to deliver.

"Do you want it or not?" Riya's words shushed the complaining Triya and left her huffing before her. For the first time, Riya found satisfaction now that she had beaten her.

"So, I'll be going then." With an evil smirk, Riya announced her leave when Triya stepped in her way and whispered, "Don't forget I still have your secret." Inclining back, she pointed her eyes at the sudden baffled figure of Riya.

"Tomorrow. I'll take my order tomorrow." And without saying a word, Riya left with anger still hiding inside her chest.

"Did you just blackmail her over that?" Prisha questioned, not at all surprised.

"Forget about it. Let's go. I'm getting late. He's coming home to get his painting."
