Chapter 14

She had come home earlier than ever, worried about making him wait outside her door, but he hadn't arrived before her, allowing her a breath of relief.

Even though he was just visiting to get his painting, it did not stop her from being eager and staring at the clock constantly while she performed her routine.

And right after she had slipped her hoodie, the bell rang, hailing her to dash to the door.

He was standing right outside her door, his hands fidgeting on the bag strings on his chest. He wasn't sure if he should have come at that time. He had not gotten her approval.

Although he had tried asking her when she called him, but the rapidness in her tone and words didn't allow him. He even tried to call her after, but she did not pick up his call, which led him right outside her door.

Should he have come on another time?" He thought to himself, his flimsy thoughts making his body more erratic.

The imbalance was increasing inside his brain when suddenly the door before him unbolted, exposing her.

He could see she had just changed into different clothes. Her ruffled hair made her look adorable to his eyes, a sight which quickly turned his eyes away from her and onto the ground.

"Hi!" she boomed in a whispery tone, welcoming him inside. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I didn't know when to come." He worded bashfully as he strode ahead of her to the living room.

"You could have called." She offered him a seat on the couch, standing before him with crossed hands.

In his eyes, she looked displeased, but in reality, it was just her way. "I did, many times, but you- you weren't picking up my calls." He boomed in a hurry, his eyes working together to explain himself. He did not want a misunderstanding to develop between them.

"You called?" She questioned astonishingly, "Wait." And dashed to her bedroom in search of her phone.

It was waiting for her on her bed and when she checked it, it was put on a silent mode.

"I'm sorry. My phone was on silent." Apologetically, she worded as she stepped out of her bedroom, her phone in her hand, and stood back where she was.

"It's okay." He smiled at her with thawing awkwardness, his eyes shy as always.

"Should I get you something to drink?" Their conversation was more delicate than it should have been, they had slept with each other. But the tension hadn't died down, especially after his dream. If something happened, the tension only grew.

"It's okay. Don't worry, I'm fine. I'll just get my painting and leave." He stood hastily, urging her, confused at why was he acting like that. But again, he always acts like that. Doesn't he?

"Oh, okay. Let me help you with it." He wanted to deny her help, but before he could say anything, she began walking ahead of him, into the room.

Quiet and deliberate, he followed after and saw her room ruffled up just like her hair. "I'm sorry about the mess. I just changed." He had figured that out already and controlled his lips from curling but at that moment he could not help himself from smiling.

He had a smile warmer than the sunlight and brighter than the beaming moon, but for some reason, he always kept it hidden.

Regarding his smile, she wavered in her place, just admiring him to reach for the canvas set beside the large mirror.

"Ummm, if you don't mind, I wanted to ask you something?" He had been dying to ask that question, just waiting for the right time, rumbling inside his head. It was such a turmoil for him that he did not realize she had strode and halted right behind him.

But when he turned around to know the answer to her no words, he stumbled to her, almost falling on the canvas. Thankfully, he was saved as her hands advanced and grasped his waist, yanking him closer to her body.

"What do you want to ask?" She questioned.

If anyone had seen her staring at him, would have thought that she was dazed by his beauty and did not hear a word he said. But her attention was bigger than any distraction.

"Um." His falling hands had fallen on her shoulder, his heart thumping a louder beat inside his chest. He felt as if he would not be able to work his mind, but her constant eyes on his lips urged him and he asked. "I wanted to know why did you ask for my body measurement?"

"I bought something for you and needed to know your size." She bluntly responded, her stiff expression just staring at his thawing face.

Why was she looking at him like that? Like he was a meal to her.

"From your friend?" He questioned quickly, adding, "I heard you were talking to someone young."

"Only she has what I want. There are no shops here for the stuff I like, and it costs twice more if you order it online. But thankfully she runs a small business of my favorite things." She stated, astounding him by the new information he wasn't aware of.

"And she's not my friend. She's just a seller." He nodded to her words, feeling her grasp tightening around his waist.

"I- I need to pack it up." He stuttered, swaying his gaze everywhere but her eyes, wriggling in her grasp.

"Pack it then." How would he? He was grasped by her arms, so close that he could feel her breathing on his skin.

"B-but." He stuttered again, looking at her helplessly, which burst the cloud of vertigo above her. "Sorry." She quickly removed her grasp and moved back, allowing him space.

But she still could not stop looking at him. The way he grasped the canvas with gentle hands and looked at it with care motioned everything slowly for her.

Her legs moved with the same gentleness, backward to bed, and carefully led her to sit on it. Watching his hair fall to his eyes led to a thawing warmth in between her legs that she had to instantly squeeze her legs together

Her eyes were practically digging into his skin from afar when she saw his lips move and word something. "Have you decided what you want to paint?" His tone came to her ears faintly but left a strong effect.

"I am already painting something." He did not know that she was painting something and that something was him. That is why he asked as he turned around after placing the canvas in a large bag. "What are you painting? Have you already found your amusement?"

"I'm painting you. You are my amusement" Her feet once again came into action and swiftly led her to him, her hands pinning him on the wall.

"Wh-why?" How much astounded can you get in one day? But here he was shocked again and again by her continued appalling actions.

"You have a beauty I can't understand. Your beauty feels like the first rain of the season." She pinned her right palm on the wall and the other on his cheek, softly grazing it along his skin.

The word - beautiful - once again drove him edgy, making his breaths unrecognizably hasty. "I want to collect your beauty. That's why I'm panting for you." She added and softly pressed her lips on his, grasping his jaw with a tight strength.

He could not perform any other action to her lips other than pressing his lips back on her, moving them in an opposite direction, so her lips could find better access.

Deepening her lips on his, she slipped her hands on his waist and yanked him adjacent to her body, leading his hands on her shoulder.

Her lips drove further and parted his to allow her tongue in, but before she would push her tongue inside his mouth, she stopped and stepped back, leaving him in a frenzy.

He could not understand what was happening and why did she stop. He didn't want to stop even after the hunting noise of that word continued ringing inside his head.

"You must be getting late." She worded, as she thrived to regain her composure, turning around so he would not see the need on her face.

"Ah- yes. Yes. I should probably leave." Why did she stop, suddenly? The words of misery continued echoing inside his head, but his lips did not speak up as his feet hastened to leave the bedroom.

"I want you to come here right after college. I want to show you what I bought for you." Somehow her words calmed the rising hurricane inside his head, leading him to once again create the excuse for her doings.
