Setting Down Roots In A Former Hellhole

"Sir…are you sure that is where you wish to have your family go…isn't it a bit…dark?" The driver asked, clearly not wanting to drive in that direction, but since it was his job, he knew that if the customer wished it, he would have to oblige.

"I assure you, that is where we wish to go. Do not worry about the town's history; that was the past. We have all seen the trials, so there is nothing to fear; this is merely a town with a sad backstory." Tapping the driver on the shoulder a few times to calm him down, I had to admit I was impressed by Vincent's acting skills, as he assumed the role of a fellow German descendant.

About 15 minutes after that conversation, we were about to pass a large sign with the town's name printed in both German and English in bold text, so I had Vincent tell the driver to pull over for a moment so we could take in the view of the town.
