Melissa was Kidnapped

Lord Benjamin went back to the party and started looking for Lady Anastasia. Earlier, after speaking to his friends, he couldn't find both Lady Melissa and Sir Andrew anywhere. He started to feel worried, especially when Lady Anastasia was also missing from the party. He searched for Lady Melissa frantically until he met with Sir Andrew. Lord Benjamin felt his head throbbed and he's really worried for her safety.

Lady Anastasia was in an especially good mood upon getting back to the party. Her smile was wider, she was friendlier towards the other girls and she was chatting nonstop.

When Lord Benjamin found her, he marched up to her and said in a stern voice, "Follow me this instant."

Lady Anastasia furrowed her brows but when she saw Sir Andrew standing close by, she roughly figured why her brother appeared furious. She smiled and asked sweetly, "What's wrong Brother?"

Lord Benjamin had no more patience left to deal with her and without saying a word, he pulled her roughly towards the study room, disregarding the stares and murmurings of the guests. Along the way, Lady Anastasia tried to break free but dealing with an angered man wasn't easy apparently. His grip on her tightened with every struggle and eventually Lady Anastasia stopped struggling as the pain was getting unbearable.

"What the hell did you do?!" Lord Benjamin roared at her when they were alone in the study. He had asked Sir Andrew to wait for him outside.

"What do you mean?" Lady Anastasia pretended not to know why he asked that.

"Ana, I'm going to ask you again, what did you do to Melissa?" Lord Benjamin took a deep breath before asking again.

"Nothing. She wasn't feeling well after we chatted, so I left her resting in my room." Lady Anastasia replied.

"She's nowhere to be found. You're the last person with her. So I'm going to ask you for the last time, what did you do to her??!" Lord Benjamin's voice raised a notch higher.

"Why do you care? She's not your wife! I can do whatever I wish and I don't need to report anything to you!" Lady Anastasia was starting to get annoyed with her brother.

"Ana, have you considered the consequences of your action? She's not my wife but she's Duke Kensington's future wife. That makes her the niece-in-law of the Queen! She's practically related to the royal family. If anything happens to her, how do you think the Queen is going to deal with you? Banishment is one thing, you could also face imprisonment! No matter how you want to deny it, she's last seen with you, and she disappeared from our Blackwell manor. Not only you, even Father and I will be implicated by this! Have you thought about it?? You escaped punishment for your misdeed the last time, the royal family will never let you off again this time!" Lord Benjamin's cold voice penetrated Lady Anastasia's heart.

She was stunned upon hearing what her brother had said. Lady Anastasia's eyes darted around, nervousness started to show in her demeanour. Lord Benjamin quickly continued, "Tell me now what have you done to her and we can still salvage the situation!"

Lady Anastasia's muteness was killing Lord Benjamin. He gripped both of her arms, causing her to flinch and stared into her eyes.

"If you don't tell me now, I swear to God I will kill you myself right here right now!!" He roared.

Lady Anastasia had never seen her brother like this. The look in his eyes were terrifying and he looked like he's really going to kill her. She trembled and said, "Mr King got her. I don't know where he took her to. I merely got her alone. I didn't do anything else."

"FUCK!! Ana!!! You're crazy!!!!!" Lord Benjamin shoved his sister aside and rushed out of the room.

Outside, Sir Andrew was pacing back and forth nervously. He had half a mind to go back and report it to Duke Malcom but he decided to wait for Lord Benjamin to get more information.

"Melissa has been kidnapped. We need to look for her right now." Lord Benjamin sent an attendant to look for Mr Walters right away. If anyone knew of everyone's properties' location in the capital or outside, it'll be Mr Walters, his expert realtor.

Within few minutes, Mr Walters appeared and Lord Benjamin immediately consulted with him about Mr King, the newcomer to the capital.

"Yes, My Lord. He owned a house right here in the capital, located towards the north, end of Willow Street. It's green in colour, you can't miss the ugly green gate. He also has a cabin near the lake in String Forest outside the city." Mr Walters said from memory.

"Alright, you go with Sir Andrew and locate the cabin since you know where it is. I'll head over to the house. Bring Jackson and his team with you. I'll go with Gerald and his men. Move out now. Bring her back home immediately if you found her."

Just as he was about to move out, Mr Walters stopped him. "How about the others at the location?"

Lord Benjamin had a murderous aura in his eyes. "Kill them all."

Mr Walters nodded and hurriedly went out with Sir Andrew. Sir Andrew felt it's best to carry out the search and rescue operation first before reporting to Duke Malcom. Time was of the essence here. He feared any delay would further harm his Mistress. Sir Andrew silently prayed that nothing bad happened. His own life now depended on Lady Melissa's safety.

Lord Benjamin met with his men outside and after a brief instruction, they all rode off immediately to Willow Street. The sky had turned dark when they reached Willow Street and the road was devoid of people.

When they were about a hundred metres to the house, Lord Benjamin halted his team and gestured them to stay quiet. He noticed the front yard were guarded by a group of men, all dressed in black. He and his men got down from their horses. Lord Benjamin had brought around twenty men with him. He instructed a few of them to go to the back of the house to find an entry point, whilst he and the remaining men would ambush from the front.

Lord Benjamin brandished his sword and walked forward cautiously with his men, ready for a fight. His men didn't make a single sound as trained guards, but they knew from the look on their Master's face, Lord Benjamin would not let any of those men stay alive tonight.
