Sky-high price emerald

"Please swipe your card," Brittany said softly, handing her bank card to the waiter.

"Wait, put mine on the same bill," Adam interjected, also passing his bank card to the waiter.

"Sure, please wait a moment, miss, sir," the waiter politely responded before turning away.

"Miss, please take your bank card," the waiter quickly returned, addressing Brittany.

"Sir, the price for your rough stone is 80,000, it's been settled. Here's your bank card," the waiter continued, turning to Adam.

"Thank you!" Adam smiled.

"Do you need to process the stone now?" the waiter inquired.

"Of course, please begin immediately," Adam said, casting a glance at Blake nearby.

"Hmph! I'm waiting for you to kneel and kowtow to me," Blake said coldly.

"Hehe...let's wait and see," Adam chuckled lightly.

Soon, the rough stone was handed over to the staff, and people in the hall crowded around. However, upon seeing the gambling stone surface of the rough stone, most people didn't hold much hope for Adam's luck.

"Young man, how do you intend to process this rough stone?" the staff member asked, eager for Adam to surprise him again.

"You're the expert, just follow the normal procedure for cutting," Adam replied.

"All right, don't worry, if there really is jade inside, I guarantee you won't lose out," the staff member assured.

As everyone nervously watched, the staff member cut open the rough stone. Amidst the sound of grinding, only Adam remained calm.

Suddenly, a green light emanated from the rough stone, a color that was indescribable, beautiful, and dazzling.

Brittany couldn't help but tremble with excitement. Because she remembered Adam saying that he would sell this jade to her. With this jade, her company would be redeemed, and the problems that had troubled her for days would finally be resolved. "Oh my god! It's emerald!" someone in the crowd finally reacted, exclaiming loudly.

"Emerald! It's really emerald, and it's also top-quality! Judging by the size, it's worth at least a hundred million!" someone exclaimed excitedly.

"It's really been worth coming here today. Emeralds are priceless. Young man, you've got quite the skill," David sighed, looking at Adam with a smile in his eyes.

"Haha, luck, it's all about luck," Adam pretended modestly.

"It's just a little regrettable. The young man had already promised to sell it to Brittany. Even I, after seeing it, felt tempted," David said regretfully.

"No way! I don't believe it!" Blake stood there dumbfounded, unable to control his disbelief.

Soon, the entire rough stone was opened up, and the staff carefully handed over a piece of emerald the size of an adult fist to Adam, wearing a reluctant expression.

"Haha, Brittany, name your price!" Adam said.

"Are...are you really selling it to me?" Brittany asked incredulously, her eyes fixated on the emerald in Adam's hand, believing that no woman could resist its charm.

"Of course! Since I promised you from the beginning, I won't go back on my word," Adam said.

"Thank you, thank you so much. I really need this emerald, but it's worth at least two hundred million. I don't have that much capital right now," Brittany said, as if every word drained her strength. "So, how much capital do you have now?" Adam casually asked.

"I can only come up with eighty million," Brittany said with difficulty, her eyes filled with reluctance.

"Eighty million it is. I won't ask for the rest. Just leave me a piece or two of the jewelry made from this emerald," Adam said.

"Are you serious?" Brittany asked in amazement.

"Of course!" Adam replied.

"Great! No problem, I'll definitely leave the best jewelry for you. Here's my business card. If you need anything in the future, just give me a call," Brittany said, looking at Adam with gratitude.

"Haha, young man, you're quite generous. Looks like Brittany, you've got quite a reputation!" David laughed, looking at the two with a peculiar expression.

"Ahem...David's just joking," Adam said awkwardly, as if his thoughts had been uncovered.

Brittany also wore a shy expression, but she was a powerful woman in the business world and quickly regained her composure.

"Give me your bank account number, and I'll arrange for the transfer right away. Oh, by the way, I still don't know your name!" Brittany said.

"My bad, I'm Adam, a college student. Let's not rush the transfer for now. I'll handle other matters first," Adam said, handing the emerald to Brittany, then walking towards Blake.

"Hey! Isn't it time to pay up? You heard it earlier, worth two hundred million," Adam said.

"You're dreaming! I don't have the money!" Blake's face turned red as he spoke.

"Haha...you lose the bet, are you trying to back out?" Adam asked. "I...I didn't plan on not paying you! I just can't come up with that much money," Blake said cautiously, stealing a glance at David.

"That's not my concern. I just want my money," Adam said firmly.

"Don't push it too far!" Blake threatened, his gaze icy as he stared at Adam.

"Dare to threaten in front of me. Your family is really something. Do you want me to personally call your father?" David's voice rang out.

"I dare not, I dare not. I'll raise the money right now." Blake hurriedly walked to the side and dialed a phone number. After a moment, a roar emanated from his phone, so loud that it could even be heard from afar.

"The money will be transferred to your bank account soon. Can I go now?" Blake returned with an unpleasant expression on his face, addressing Adam.

"You may. Take care. Thank you for your generosity today," Adam said.

"Hmph! Don't get too cocky. I'm afraid you won't be able to spend all your money," Blake snorted, leaving hastily with his bodyguards.

As soon as Blake left, Adam's phone received two consecutive SMS notifications about bank transfers.

Adam checked and saw that Blake's two hundred million and Brittany's eighty million had been deposited. As for how they got his bank account number, that was no longer his concern.

"Haha...Blake is quite efficient," Adam joked.

"You should be careful. Blake is not the type to just let things go," Brittany said with some concern.

"Haha...I'm not easy to mess with either," Adam laughed, showing no sign of taking Blake's threat seriously.

David looked at Adam's relaxed expression and felt curious. He could sense that Adam wasn't pretending, which meant he wasn't a fool or he was someone with hidden abilities. Obviously, Adam couldn't be a fool, so he became deeply interested in Adam's hidden capabilities.
