HE'S DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU! - Main yelled angrily, pointing Calandor at Balls and his family.

- Mein, calm down. - Lubbock said dryly, making a small jerk with his arm, and thus pinning Main's rifle to the ground with his strings.

- Kaneki died because of those bastards! If it weren't for them, he'd still be alive! - The girl exclaimed.

Lubbock sighed tiredly, remembering how the whole showdown had started. And they began a week after the tragedy. More precisely, Esdes left, saying that she did not believe that such a strong man like Kaneki, so simply died. Then, the guy realised that the girl had finally lost her mind, and they didn't stop her. And since then, every day, the members of the group argued with each other, blaming the death of the person we all cared about. He hated being called human, but after what he had done, it was impossible to call him anything else. Akame sat alone in her room, occasionally speaking privately with Kurome. Still, even the heart of the Night Raid's best assassin was melted by Kaneki.

- 'Mein...' Shelly, who was almost always the main contributor to calming the sniper, began.

- I'm getting out of here. - the pink-haired girl interrupted her. - I don't want to be with these... Shelly, will you come with me?

Lubbock instantly realised that the Renegades were about to be reduced by two more people. Shelly and Mein were best friends, and it was unlikely that she wouldn't go after the sniper.

- I... - the girl hesitated, but after a couple of seconds, nodded to herself and answered: - I'll go.

- We're leaving. - After a moment, said Myne, but still turned round on the way out. - Lab... I hope to see you again. So see you later. And give this to Akama and Leone.

- See you, Mein. Shelly. - The puppeteer smiled sadly, waving his hand.

- Bye, Lubbock. - Shelly smiled back, waving, and then disappeared out the door, followed by Mein.

- Oh..." the boy sank to the floor. - Everything's falling apart. Once Kaneki was dead, everything he'd created fell apart.

- It's really our fault. - the boy heard the voice of Balls' wife.

- Perhaps. - Lubbock nodded, realising that everything Maine had said was true. If it hadn't been for Bolsa's family, they would have just got the hell out of there, and Kaneki wouldn't have had to stand under that beam.

The next day...

Balls, as well as his family, were gone by morning. The belongings were gone, the beds were made, and there was a note saying they didn't want to inconvenience us further, and as such, were leaving. As it turned out, for the last week, Dorothea had not been sitting in the lab, but had simply left without saying anything to anyone.

Two days later.

- We're leaving. - Akame said briefly.

- Akame..." said Lubbock in surprise.

- Me, Kurome and Wade have decided to leave. We'll wander the world. - The girl continued dryly. - And... there were some teigu in Kaneki's safe... anyway, we took half of it, and you and Leone take the rest. I hope to see you again. See you later, Lubbock.

- Aka... - the boy jumped up, but the girl was already gone. - Me... - Lubbock landed back on the chair tiredly.

The next day...

- Lab... - said Leone hoarsely, lying on the sofa, rearranging the empty wine bottles that he and the boys had drunk last night. - and let's go to the Capital?

- Huh? - The guy asked back, feeling the sensations of a hangover.

- Let's go to Capital City. You've got a shop there... I'll breed newcomers like before... Huh?

- You know... let's go. - said the boy. - There's nothing for us to do here. What if they find out?

- We'll run back here. - Leone shrugged. - and then we'll go out into the world.

- That's a good idea. - nodded Lubbock.

And a few hours later, the pair left the completely empty lab behind, heading for the Capital City, completely destroying the renegade faction.

A month later...

Najenda slumped tiredly in her chair, throwing the glance of her only eye at the stack of papers on her personal desk. At the end of the war, she'd landed a pretty good job as a general in the Empire's re-formed army.

Still, there was some good news. Judging by what her personal scouts, working on her own initiative, had reported, the Apostates were scattered across the Empire in small groups. Which means their elimination is no longer necessary. Yes, the order had not been cancelled, but... she would not report the presence of Lubbock and Leone in the Capital.

Also, among the papers, one particular one stood out. Namely, the case of Kaneki Ken.

Name: Kaneki Ken

Status: Dead

Organisation: Apostates

Last Operation: Unknown

Number of successfully completed operations: Unknown

Cause of death: Attack by the First Teigu.

- 'So-so...' came an unknown voice from the corner of the office.

Najenda jumped up, raising her sword, the teigu that had been captured in the last battle.

Standing before her was... Susano. At what she saw, the girl was speechless.

- Are you... okay? - The girl asked in disbelief as she came closer.

- What an expressive face you have. - Susano grinned... as suddenly his entire appearance turned red, ducts grew from everywhere, growing into neighbouring areas of skin, and a second later, in front of her stood....

- YOU!???? - Najenda recoiled in horror.

- Yep... me. - grinned the chief fear of the Capital's guards.

A second later, he was already standing next to Najenda, punching her stomach with his right hand. Instantly, similar channels began to spread from the wound, and a dozen seconds later, after reaching her head, they disappeared. The white-haired Ghoul pulled his hand out of Najenda's, and her wound closed a few seconds later.

- Master. - The girl said calmly and clearly.

Suddenly, the guy grabbed his head, groaning.

- Shit... A seizure... Give me the movement reports of the renegades now! - Having quickly got what he wanted, the guy continued - behave naturally. Don't tell anyone about me. I'll come back in a couple of days to discuss things better.

He jumped up hurriedly, and then simply jumped out of the open window. And Najenda, after standing for a couple of seconds, sat down at the desk, sorting out the documents.

A year later... (kind of an after credits scene. I really wanted to cram that bit in.)

- Hurry up! - Kurome shouted, covering the wound in Wade's side with her shirt.

- It's getting close! - Shouted back the coachman.

Akame, meanwhile, was rummaging through her bag, looking for some potions. However, the supplies had run out two days ago, and she realised that.

- Fucking bear! - Wade cursed, then groaned. - And the bandits along with him... what a way to get caught.

- There's the village! - exclaimed the coachman.

A dozen seconds later, the cart stopped, and people started coming towards it.

- Tatsumi!!! Help me carry the boy to the healer! - roared the coachman, jumping into the carriage.

- Yes!" said the russet-haired boy who jumped in after the coachman.

The two boys lifted Wade up, carrying him towards a seemingly old hut. Akame and Kurome followed behind them. One white-haired Ghoul, who went by the name of Kaneki Ken, smilingly watched the whole thing, wondering how it was that the boy's bag was in the cart and he wasn't.
