I don't think calling our trip pleasant would be the right way to describe it. The whole way we travelled, Minene was exchanging various phrases with Yuno, who was seated next to me in the back.

Suddenly, three familiar hisses sounded at once, and I quickly opened my diary, looking at the last lines.

"16:52. Street. We wrapped up at the shelter and were ambushed! Juno and Minene were shot by the cops!"

- Minene, get back! - I shouted sharply and the girl immediately hit the brakes.

Some car hit us from behind, but I didn't pay much attention to it.

- The police are waiting for us. Take one turn earlier.

Minene obeyed, and Yuno had already grabbed the MP-5 lying next to her.

- Diary users... - Urju growled, and I glimpsed the changed lines of the diary.

- They've already started moving to intercept. - I noted dryly. - Minene, Yuno, you'll have to ride without me for a while.

- W-what?

- Drop me off, then drive out of here. Do a couple of laps nearby, then ride back to the shelter. There's probably some kind of special van that'll have a diary user in it, maybe more than one. Your task is to blow up this van and, if possible, the shelter as well. But if there's too many police, don't go in. Better wait for me, I'll distract them and you'll do your job.

- Yes! - Minene grinned, stopping. - I'm sure of myself.

- They won't kill me. - snorted I. -you've seen for yourself what happens when I get shot.

Getting out, I walked leisurely to the apartment building directly across the street from me. It was an ordinary three-storey building, of which there were many in the neighbourhood.

When I got there, I strode dutifully to the first flat I could find, and tore the door off, along with the hinges. Inside I found several men and women, whom I killed immediately, and then pulled out from behind a small backpack M4, which I had brought personally, just in case.

Walking to the window, I grinned as I looked at the dozen or so police cars parked outside the shelter. Right now, the cops were actively getting behind the wheel, clearly intending to chase after Yuno and Minene.

I grinned, raising my rifle and firing continuously at the cars. The magazine was a drum magazine with a hundred rounds in it, so for about half a minute I poured fire on the cops.

When the machine gun was exhausted... I took a sixty-round magazine out of my pocket and started firing again. But by now, the bullets were coming back at me. Into the walls of the building, none even hit the windows, but even so, it made me a little happy.

Another wild idea popped into my head, and I stopped firing. Waiting until the shots on the back side stopped, I unzipped my mask and shouted as loud as I could:

- "Four, come out for a walk!

It was obvious he was here. Things were going too well with the cops. And given his peculiarity, which I had managed to memorise from the canon, on all captures, he was nearby, and sometimes in the middle of the offensive.

Slightly peeking out, I noticed a small group of special forces coming round the corner of this building, clearly moving towards the entrance. Well, let them come. They're in for a very unpleasant surprise.

Glimpsing the contents of my diary, I discovered that Minene and Yuno would arrive in five minutes, deciding to attack and get shot.

I simply raised my rifle and fired the remaining clip at the vehicles before looking at the diary again.

"17:21. Street. Minene and Yuno are attacking the van! They blew it up!"

I heard the stomping of many feet. SWAT approaching the entrance of the building. Tucking the diary into the back pocket of my trousers, I grinned. Leaning against the wall, the waiting guests stretched out.

Keigo Kurusu was in suspense. Next to him, was the owner of the shelter, who also happened to be a diary user, which gave the policeman hope.

He didn't initially like what was happening. The certainty with which the criminals were going to act initially confused him, and when he discovered that the actions of one of them, huddled in the building with a rifle simply not recorded by the diary, a crazy guess came to him, later confirmed by what the unknown man shouted.

Now, the SWAT team entered the flat, and Kurusu tensely monitored the situation, giving out orders. Suddenly, the voice of one of the most decent members of the squad came out of the speaker, and what he said was far from censored.

This was followed by numerous gunshots and cries of horror and pain, causing the policeman to shout into the microphone, demanding an explanation. However, it was half a minute later that things quieted down. Kurusu continued to try to call the SWAT team, but it wasn't the crime fighter who answered him.

- Hello, Four. It's you, isn't it? - Keigo froze and a few drops of sweat appeared on his forehead. He took out an entire SWAT team....

- Who are you? And what's wrong with my men! - The policeman replied with a question to a question.

- Hehehe... as he said... 'its skin can't be penetrated by almost any weapon, and its strength, speed, and senses are far superior and more sensitive than human ones'. I think Deus said something like that.

- Thirteen?! - Kurusu exhaled.

- Uh-huh. You're out of luck little man, be honest, there's another diary user along with you, right? That kind of, fat, little aunt. Unfortunately I can't remember her name, all I know is that she keeps the shelter you ambushed us under. Whoops, wait a second.

Some rustling was heard, followed by a long series of gunshots that could also be heard through the walls of the van. From the sound, Kurus was able to determine that they were fired from rifles belonging to the dead SWAT team.

- That's better. So what's your answer? Or should I come see for myself?

- There's nobody here but me.

- No way... but the future diary says otherwise. - When Thirteen said that, Kurusu got cold feet. After all... it was said that he didn't have a diary... - but don't worry, I... - a series of shots followed again. - I'm not gonna kill you. Still, I'm just helping other users do it....

Next, Kurusu didn't hear anything. Nor did he feel it.

I hummed as I looked at the van that had landed back on the ground, which was now in flames. Yeah, that's what happens when you throw a bunch of five grenades under a car.

After a glimpse of the cops jumping out from behind the cars, I grinned, turning around and heading for the exit. Quickly dialling Minene's number on my phone, I instructed her to mine the orphanage building, while I went to finish off the police and check the bodies in the van just in case. If they're not there, it means everything went according to plan and they died because of broken diaries.

Fending off a dozen policemen, who by some miracle were still alive, was no problem for me. From the SWAT team, I took a couple of backpacks with their weapons to replenish the spent supplies. However, I would need them only when attacking Eleven. Everything else could be solved without the use of firearms.

As I approached the van, I looked inside and grinned. No one was there. Out of the corner of my ear, I also managed to hear numerous police sirens.

- It's time to go. - I concluded, and with my words, the shelter building burst into flames.

 - I want a shower...

I took a couple of backpacks with weapons from a slightly blushing Yuno, then headed upstairs. We need to stow the weapons.

- Yuno... you can do whatever you want. We'll rest for the rest of the day, and tomorrow we'll go see Six.

- Do you know who she is? - came from behind the closed bathroom door.

- Tsubaki Kasugano. A religious leader. A problematic person in terms of attention. So we're just going to have a look.

- Why can't we just kill him? - Yuno asked timidly, which was a little out of line with her phrasing.

- There's a high chance of exposure and it will interfere with further searches. First we need to eliminate the maximum available users.

- Ahh... I see...

As I stood up, I involuntarily thought about my actions. Why can't I just leave those two at home, then go and cut everyone else out? Huh... probably because, I subconsciously wish for the death of one of them. Still, as a result, my choice will most likely fall on Minene rather than Yuno. The time spent with her has had its effect, and I won't be able to kill her. Well, I can, but I don't want to. I don't want to kill Yuno either, but that desire is less.

Soon... soon I'll be done.

We had to steal a car. Thankfully, Minene had the right skills and was able to start the car without the keys. In her life, stealing cars had become commonplace during her long journeys.

When we got to the place, we had to leave our weapons in the car, because as far as I know, they search people entering the place. We got in without much trouble, as it turned out, all we had to do was say that we wanted to know more about this faith and they let us in without any questions.

- Well... what a security here. - Minene grinned. - Just climb over the fence and that's it.

- There are cameras. - I replied, strolling leisurely along the path leading to the main building, where the local queen of the hierarchy lived... heh, who was constantly raped. Hmmm...

Generally speaking, the territory was a small town. There were several very long buildings consisting of rooms where cult members and sometimes entire families lived. Basically, any homeless person could come here, declare that they wanted to believe and they would be given a room. Of course, I've oversimplified things and there are a number of reasons why this homeless person would not be allowed in, but the point has been made.

However, on the approach to the Sixth Abode, we came across a... queue. I had already forgotten about this shitty thing, because I visited either computer shops or just went to the cinema. Minene and I visited the supermarket together a couple of times, but it was such a busy time that the queue was almost non-existent.

But I wasn't bored for long. When I saw a child in the distance, looking about five years old, with a vaguely familiar hairstyle, I thought of Fifth.

- I'll be back for a while. - I warned the girls and, after a nod from Minene and a concerned look from Yuno, headed towards the child.

In a minute, I had already approached him, managing to remain unnoticed. Approaching from the back, I was able to peek at exactly what he was doing.

Well... fate is very favourable to me. A whirlwind of joy rose in my soul when I saw a notebook with three drawings that depicted the boy himself in the morning, afternoon, and evening, judging by the position of the sun.

- Interesting drawings. - I said.

The child jumped up sharply, evidently from fright, and ran back a little, clutching his notebook to himself.

- Who are you?! - he exclaimed.

- Kaneki Ken. - I answered simply, watching the boy intently. - Interesting drawings, I said. Did you draw them yourself?

The boy visibly calmed down a bit, nodding.

- Listen, here's the thing, I'm a little lost here, can you lead me to the exit?

It was as old as the world... and it worked. The kid puffed up, then immediately changed his expression to smug.

- You're always getting lost! Let's go! - I blinked. Get lost... little kids... how I hate them... Any child from zero to eight years old. They're all very, very nasty.

- Let's go. - I nodded, following the boy.

As soon as we got behind the small hill separating us from the path where the queue stood, I put my hand on the child's neck, squeezing it with all my strength.

The bones crunched, and the little man's carcass fell to the ground. With a hum, I picked up a notebook, or rather a scrapbook, which I immediately tore apart. Along with it, the boy's body was sucked into a small black hole that appeared in his chest.

- How... easy..." I grinned slightly, and then headed back to my own... but almost tripped on the ground, from an unexpected sensation.

A sensation that cannot exist in this world. The sensation of using magic.

Meanwhile...

It was an ordinary alley, in which hung out the usual bunch of gopniks with five people. They were drinking cheap beer, smoking cigarettes and speaking in terms not very understandable for a civilised person.

Suddenly, however, one of them caught sight of the figure of a girl who was a little further away from them. Her fatigue, was clearly visible. Her beautiful face was wrinkled, her long black hair hung without any comb, and her clothes, quite strange looking, were a bit dusty and dirty. On her, there was also a cloak hanging.

- Eh, look how she is.

The speaker's brothers turned their attention to the girl. Smiles grew on everyone's faces.

- Hey, girl, what's so... - they didn't let him finish.

In a flash, the girl had already lifted the slightly overpumped guy by the throat with one hand, pressing him against the brick wall, and then immediately clamped her overly long fangs into his neck.

A couple of seconds of dumbfoundedness from the other guys, and the body of their recent acquaintance became wrinkled and fell to the ground. The girl leisurely took a handkerchief out of her pocket, which she used to wipe the blood near her mouth.

- B-b-b-run!!!

- Where are you going? - The girl giggled, looking at the people with her scarlet eyes as if they were hunted rabbits.

In a moment, she was already behind them.

- Boys..." she unbuttoned her cloak, revealing the sword hanging on her belt. - You know, I'd like to know where I am, and do you know a guy named Kaneki Ken? And to make you more willing to answer..." she slowly unsheathed her katana. - Drink my blood, Ashuramaru! - At that very moment, the blade of the blade turned scarlet in colour.
