CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: CORES.

THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW.

"Each living human has essence, and each human with essence has core, there are however some special cases when people lack essence and therefore lack core, these people are referred to as 'empty shells' because they are absolutely useless…however that is beside our discussion anyway... so I'll get back to point…" Netyisha pauses as she takes a deep breath before continuing "There are the Comm-Cores, these are the core-types that specialize in Communication affairs, in other words Telekinesis and Telepathy...secondly,the Light cores, these core-types, to put it simply, specialize in controlling anything natural…they are plant manipulation masters, weather manipulation masters, animal control masters to mention but a few…then, the Dark-core-group, they consist of the Flame-core, Blood-core and Spirit- core, we both fall under the dark-core category" Netyisha pauses, I smirk while stating bashfully,"But we're on completely different leagues", she smiles too "I'm perfectly aware…" she admits, "Our Core-type is regarded as the least trustworthy because of the nature of our rather black essence… black essence equals tendency to succumb to darkness" Netyisha gives a peculiar smile "We Mages and Reverreds consist of Core-types who are specifically interested in developing, enhancing and improving our essence, we are also bridges between magical creatures and regular human beings…that's all I know…now tell me what you know about dark-cores" she rushes up her lecture on a note of finality, I nod and say "Netyisha, you must first come to the terms that you wish to learn about dark-cores for your sake and not just to guard against some Blood-core student of yours" Netyisha flinches "You unconsciously run away from the fact that you're a Dark-core" I add, thoroughly enjoying myself -silence- "Okay...I understand" she states simply, I smile -I find her subtlety satisfying- "Well... first you should know, that only a few dark-cores manage not to succumb to darkness"

RAVE'S POINT OF VIEW.

Eventhough I promised Camada that I'd find water, I am presently at a loss, we trudge around, searching for a stream, a lake, a river -anything with water- also, it is absurd that we have not been attacked for a while, -but-, my skepticality is not necessary at this point "Right now…we're pretty much just moving around aimlessly" Camada mumbles in exhaustion "Plus…it's oddly boring" she adds, I gaze at her,-boring, I agree- "Shall we play a game?" I ask shyly, she turns to me surprised "Yeah…that doesn't sound half bad"
