Team Omega

Atashi dashed back through the thick underbrush, her breaths came in ragged gasps, and her eyes scanned the scene

"Why would he throw me so far away!!?" She said

"He was protecting me..."

"But got attacked instead!" She bit her lip in anger

Atashi entered an old house, each step echoing in the silent emptiness around her. Climbing the stairs, she glimpsed Kaito through a window, lying motionless on the floor below.

"Mister!" Her cry pierced the stillness as she leaped out of the window, using the wall to guide her descent. Rushing to Kaito's side, she found him unconscious.

Meanwhile, Kaito floated in darkness, his consciousness adrift in an abyss of nothingness.

Kaito's voice echoed through the darkness, "Huh, where am I?"

A soft blue glow materialized, Kaito's gaze drew to the radiance, his curiosity piqued

"What is that??" He said intriguingly,

He reached out a hand, his fingers straining towards the light. But a gentle wave emanated from the glow, nudging him off

The blue light pulsed and swirled

"What's that?!" Kaito exclaimed,

The blue light dissipated, replaced by a warm white glow that enveloped the scene. Kaito's eyelids fluttered open.

Atashi knelt beside him, her eyes brimming with tears. She shook his shoulders with a gentle urgency

"C'mon, wake up! Please don't be dead!" she whispered, her voice trembling.

Kaito groaned, "Ugh.. my head " He tried to sit up

"Ah, my arm..." he muttered

Atashi's tears spilled onto her cheeks as she embraced him tightly, her body shaking with sobs. "I was so scared! You're too reckless!" she yelled

Kaito's gaze focused, and then he petted her on her head, "Don't worry it'll be fine" He said with a calm soothing voice

As the pod door creaked open, Kaito stepped out, Atashi piggybacking on him. His eyes scanned the area, and he furrowed his brow at the sight of only 15 people gathered outside their pods.

"Huh? Where is everyone else?" he muttered,

"They must be dead! If they're not here, they're dead!" Atashi's words cut through the silence, her tone grim.

'So losing meant losing your lives...' he thought,

Kaito's gaze swept across the group, landing on the guy with spiky red hair, streaked with orange and yellow.

"He made it through..." he mused to himself,

And immediately his eyes widened in surprise. "Misuki?!" he exclaimed, scanning the area frantically. "Where is she?!"

Suddenly, something collided with his head, "Ow! What was that?!" he protested, rubbing his sore spot.

"Don't count me out just yet!" Misuki's voice rang out, her figure stood behind him

"And actually, there are 17 of us here! Whoa you were beat up!" she said

Kaito let out a sigh of relief, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, it was a bit rough, but at least I made it out alive," he replied, a faint smile on his lips.

Misuki's eyes softened as she glanced at the young girl Kaito was carrying. "Aw, who's this little cutie?" she cooed, reaching out to ruffle the girl's hair.

Kaito beamed proudly. "This is Atashi, the citizen I rescued during my exam," he explained.

"Aww, you're so cute!" Misuki gushed, reaching out to ruffle her hair affectionately. "Not like my little troublemaker over here," she teased, hoisting a young boy into her arms.

Kaito chuckled knowingly. "She's a handful, huh?" he remarked.

The boy nodded in agreement, earning himself a light smack from Misuki, who shot him a playful glare. "Hey, watch it!" she scolded

A group of four people emerged from the crowd. Walking straight,

As they walked onto the stage, Kaito's eyes widened in astonishment. "Whoa! Akari??" he exclaimed, incredulous at the sight before him.

Akari was dressed in a striking ensemble. Her attire consisted of a sleek, form-fitting bodysuit with a high turtle neck. Over this, she wore a flowing haori adorned

Kaito shook his head in disbelief. "What in the world is she wearing??" he muttered,

Misuki, standing beside him, chuckled softly at his reaction. "What? She's the traditional type," she explained,

Kaito blinked. "Akari? That Akari??" he questioned,

Misuki nodded, her smile widening. "Yes, that Akari," she confirmed,

"Let's get started!" The voice boomed, commanding the attention of the assembled candidates.

Akari stepped forward, her presence commanding the room. "Those of you here have passed," she announced her voice firm.

"You're on your way to becoming X-Spec exorcists! From now on, you'll work in teams, from Team Alpha to Omega."

She paused, scanning the crowd before continuing.

"Once your names are called, you'll join one of the teams and receive an X-Specs uniform of your preference. Get ready to be picked!"

Atashi and the boy wasted no time, darting out of the temple.

Kaito and Misuki exchanged puzzled glances, their confusion evident.

As Akari observed Kaito, "Kaito has gotten stronger?" she pondered, noting the wave of climax energy radiating from him.

"Let's begin!" Akari declared, her voice cutting through the air "Kaito, Misuki, Yukiko, Kuro, and Ryujin! You five are Team Omega!"

In the lobby, Kaito took a moment to assess his attire. He wore a sleek, black hoodie and black jeans equipped with reinforced knee and shin guards and blue lightweight combat boots. The hoodie hugged his frame snugly.

"Hey, I've got a hoodie too!" Kaito remarked,

Misuki shot Kaito a glare. She was dressed in a light blue haori top. The sleeves of her haori allow her to roll them up to the elbows or tie them behind her back. Her outfit was completed by light blue leggings, boasting reinforced knee and shin guards On her feet, and wore lightweight white shoes

"Shut up, idiot!" Misuki snapped, her tone laced with annoyance. "You find joy in the smallest things!"

Kaito grinned, nodding eagerly. "Yeah, it's cool, isn't it?!"

Misuki rolled her eyes, a faint smirk playing on her lips. "Well, yeah, I guess..." she conceded.

Ryujin chimed in, "Hey! I think we should introduce ourselves since we're on the same team!"

"Cool, I'm down!" Kaito agreed

Misuki nodded in agreement. "I'm in too," she affirmed, her tone carrying a hint of curiosity.

Ryujin stepped forward confidently, his vibrant crimson hair catching the light as he introduced himself.

"Ok, I'll start. I'm Ryujin!" he declared, his emerald-green eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.

Ryujin wore a comfortable red gi The gi hugged his muscular build snugly, and he had the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He paired the gi with black hakama, each reinforced with knee and shin guards for added protection and lightweight black tabi boots boasted red accents.

"And I'm happy to meet you guys!" Ryujin added, a warm smile gracing his lips.

"Cutting out all the important stuff, smart move," he thought with a smirk before speaking up. "I'm Kaito," he said simply.

Misuki's delivered a playful yet firm hit to Kaito. "You're such a kid!! Hi, I'm Misuki! And I'm here to keep an eye on this idiot!" she declared

"I never asked her, just so you know!" Kaito retorted, earning another hit from Misuki. "Oww!!"

Kuro stepped forward confidently, he's short, spiky black hair framed his face, contrasting sharply with his piercing green eyes. he wore a sleeveless white shirt with a high collar. Paired with dark gray pants, with gold trim shoes

"I'm Kuro!! And I'm just here for the fun!" he announced with a carefree attitude.

Kaito looked at Kuro with a puzzled expression. "Huh??" he exclaimed,

"Speaking of fun..." He said,

He dashed to Kaito's front with lightning speed. Gasps escaped Misuki and Ryujin

He aimed for Kaito's stomach with a swift punch, a gust of wind accompanied Kuro's attack. However, Kaito managed to react just in time, catching the blow before it could land fully.

"It's like that, huh?" Kaito remarked, he faded away and reappeared behind Kuro, aiming for a kick.

Kuro bent forward, evading the attack. "What?!" Kaito exclaimed,

Undeterred, Kaito went for a backflip dash kick towards the ground, Kuro leaped and landed gracefully on the wall launching himself off the wall and swiftly catching Kaito and pinning him to the ground.

"You're weak after all," Kuro declared, his voice filled with confidence.

As he leaped off, Kaito declared defiantly, "I'll show you who's weak!" A blue glow surrounded him,

Kuro responded confidently, "Bring it," as a brown aura enveloped him,

Misuki let out a sigh, meanwhile, Ryujin observed the interaction with curiosity, his brows furrowed in thought. "Hmm, is he always like this?" he asked Misuki,

Misuki nodded knowingly. "Yep," she confirmed,

As Kaito and Kuro prepared to engage, a sudden barrier of ice materialized between them, blocking their path.

"Huh?" Misuki voiced her confusion

Ryujin echoed her sentiment. "Ice?" he questioned, his gaze fixed on the frosty barrier that had seemingly emerged out of nowhere.

Kuro frowned "Where did this come from?" he wondered aloud, eyeing the ice warily.

Meanwhile, Kaito glanced over at Yukiko,

Yukiko has striking silver hair that falls gracefully to her waist. Her eyes are a deep shade of sapphire which contrasts strikingly with her icy-blue eyes, Her complexion is fair

"I think I have an idea who," Kaito thought

With their auras fading, Kaito and Kuro exchanged one last glance before both deciding to walk away,

Just then, Akari entered, her presence commanding attention. "Hmm..." she chuckled, her laughter ringing out "Anyways, you five are my team!" she said=

Kaito couldn't help but smirk at Akari's audacity, "Can't believe she's saying that with what she's wearing," he said softly to himself,

"What did you say?" Akari asked questioned, her tone tinged with curiosity.

"Nothing," he replied nonchalantly,

"Anyways, those kids you saved are the ones that made your uniform," Akari revealed, "From your abilities and everything, they made what will most fit in battle."

"If your suits get damaged, you meet them!" she declared, "Now, let's move to the Omega Base..."

"We have a base?" Ryujin inquired,

Akari nodded in affirmation, "We have to! You wanna stay out in the rain! Well, you will not me," she explained matter-of-factly.

"The forest is behind this building," Akari began,
