Chapter 76 - The Maihama Conference

The Round Table Council and Fairy Queen Morgan arrive at Maihama in less than a day. They arrived with a grand entrance at Maihama as Morgan's Royal Guard led by the reluctant Artoria made their appearance and escorted the convoy as a show of power.

After all, Morgan still needs to declare herself and her kingdom to the world to build their political influence. What's better to show off her might than casually bringing along a thousand winged fairy knights that each being Lv 70 to flex on those poor ass feudal lords that barely had a few Lv 20-30 in their army.

If not for Ray advising her not to, she would create those fairy knights as Lv 90. Yes, those fairy knights are created by Morgan and she can create even more.

Anyway, those fairy knights leave quite the impact on the Eastal League lords including Duke Cowen who initially wants to denounce this pretender that claims to be a queen of a non-existent kingdom. Now they welcomed her warmly like they were family even, trying to suck up to Morgan and form friendship. But tough luck for them as Morgan barely even acknowledges their presence as mere insects trying to approach her divine self.

While all that is happening, Kazuma, Hajime, their group and Kirito were given a task to investigate the Goblins and other Demi-Human races movement.

———

At Forever Fall.

The Kazuma group approaches the location and investigates it.

"Look, that's clearly the dungeon! The enemies aren't too much either. Can't we just let Megumin use her Explosion Magic and reap the rewards?" Aqua suggested while her eyes had been replaced with the Yen symbol.

"You useless goddess!" Kazuma immediately resorted to violence disguised as disciplinary action and smacked her head with a stick.

"Ouch! How could you hit me!" She said while nursing her head and immediately cower back when Kazuma lifted his stick again.

"That's because you are stupid! Did you not remember what I said earlier? Prematurely killing the Goblin King candidates will cause all Demi-Human to go berserk and attack everyone indiscriminately because their leader had died."

"So, why are we even up here?" Megumin interjected a point at the congregation of goblins in the valley below indicating this location being the perfect place to cast her Explosion Magic.

"That's… while we can't kill the Goblin King candidates, anything else is free game for us." Kazuma rubs his hands while looking at the nicely gathered free EXP below. "Well, fire ahead and remember not to target the Goblin King candidate."

Megumin didn't need to be told twice and immediately cast her Explosion Magic at the valley below.

"Ex—plosiooon!"

*KA—BOOM!*

A portion of the valley below evaporated leaving a molten magma behind and no intact corpse within sight.

"HuHeHaHaHaHa!" Kazuma laughed maniacally when his Lv jumped up thrice.

He took out a horse whip and immediately whipped the heavily panting Darkness without her armor and wearing the harness that normally worn by horse… she seems to enjoy it very much too considering her heart-shaped eyes and her state of arousal that resembles an animal in heat. It look like she has totally awakened to her masochism…

Anyway, the cart immediately sped off as the goblins now knew their location. They are moving to another location they scouted ahead. Along the way, Kazuma force-feeds Megumin Mana Regeneration potions to get her depleted mana back up to cast her magic on another Goblin Clan.

Rinse and repeat until Kazuma bombed all five Goblin Clans.

———

Traveling up north of Akiba to investigate other Demi-Human races, Nagumo, Yue and Kirito went to investigate there.

Due to the long distance and how wide spread their habitats were, Kazuma Group is unsuitable to investigate there and instead was given the task to investigate the area around Forever Fall.

*VROOM!*

Kirito revved the techno-magic superbike Hajime gifted to him for this mission.

"Wow!" Kirito exclaimed as the acceleration was a bit more powerful than he expected.

"How much horsepower does this baby have?!" Kirito looked to the side and saw Hajime with a deadpan Yue hugging his back on another superbike that is blue instead of black like his own.

"Depends. The normal mode can go up to 500. But if you press that button it goes up t—" Kirito didn't even hear the rest of the explanation and pressed the button when sparks started flying from the engine and wheel before his speed suddenly increased over ten folds and he vanished into the treeline. "10,000 horsepower… fuck."

"Hold tight, Yue." Hajime said before reaching for the special button. "Mhm." Yue replied before hugging Hajime tightly as the wind resistance suddenly intensified and it felt like she was fighting against a great storm.

A few minutes later, Hajime caught up to Kirito when the bike crashed through a number of trees. Thank goodness he put safety features on for cases like this so Kirito isn't injured. But Hajime said he would confiscate it if he used the emergency escape function outside of an emergency situation.

Kirito sheepishly scratched his head apologetically and said, "Can you blame me bro? It's my dream to own a bike like this. It's like the greatest gift I have ever received. Ever."

"Well, as long as you promise to use it carefully and as intended. I will say nothing about how you use it." Hajime shrugged and immediately checked the map and looked at their surroundings.

"A little bit up is Kobold territory. Let's continue our investigation." Hajime said before folding the map and placing it back into the Pocket Space inside his coat.

"Mhm." Yue hummed but her eyes never left the third wheeler.

"Let's go." Kirito said excitedly without noticing the stare given to him by the pouting blond vampire.

———

At night, the ball started and the people from Eastal and Akiba gathered in the grand hall in befitting outfits except Morgan who looked perfect no matter the occasion.

Morgan scans her eyes across the people gathered in the hall, mostly the family of Eastal noblemen along with the lords and ladies. She can feel the awe in them looking at her and her daughters and the people of her husband.

Speaking of her husband…

Morgan looks at the tables with various refreshments, dishes and drinks. It boggles her why he would disguise himself in his cat form, with invisibility magic while feasting on the food. She isn't the only one seeing this as her daughters could see through the flimsy invisibility magic and chuckles at their father's bizarre behavior.

Gods are often fickle and often bizarre, especially the Greek and most definitely the Greeks. So, Morgan chalk it off as Ray being Ray and ignore Ray's antics and focus back at the ball.
