Chapter 124 - Oyakodon 3

Still felt strange by the revelation of her apparent survival along with her daughter and how she is a wife to a god. Ryoko sometimes finds herself in a daze thinking about it, still trying to process the whole event that had just happened to her.

"Mother! Mother!" Hinami called for her dazed mother angrily with a pout.

"Ah, sorry? What is it sweetie?" Ryoko realized her mistake and immediately tried to make up for it.

"This one. I want this one!" Hinami easily let go of her grudge and showed the clothes she just finished changing into.

"Mhm. It does look very good on you." Ryoko commented on the cream yellow one piece dress she tried on. The dress comes along with a cute orange ribbon near the neck.

But it feels weird to wear conspicuous clothing when they usually wear those that cover nearly their entire body. Especially a hood to cover their face.

When Ryoko looked at the price tag of thirty thousand yen. She immediately gasped and looked worried. Although she didn't use money that much as a Ghoul. She still has an understanding of the value and knows these clothes are extremely expensive. That's like almost a fifth of an average salary.

But just before she could tell Hinami to return the clothes and go to a cheaper clothing shop, the salesgirl walked up to her with several shopping bags with various clothes wrapped up already. Just as she was about to apologize and ask for the clothes to be returned, Grayfia stepped forward from behind her and handed the salesgirl a credit card encrusted with various gemstones that frankly look absurd. But the salesgirl acted like it's normal and accepted the card.

"Get them delivered to the usual address." Grayfia said with an authoritative manner which the salesgirl immediately nodded and bowed.

"We will get it delivered immediately. Thank you for your continued patronage."

Grayfia ignored the human and turned to look at her two new mistresses.

"Should we move on to the next shop, Milady?" Grayfia's voice suddenly turned submissive when talking to Ryoko who was too stunned by the day and night difference to make a proper response and instead just nodded.

After a while sifting through shops, Ryoko was too numb to even care about the astronomical amount of money Hinami managed to spend just shopping to her heart's content.

Instead, Ryoko is curious about her savior which is apparently also a god and her husband too. The latter part is the hardest for her to get used to. So, she approaches Grayfia while Hinami is busy happily selecting dolls through the aisle. Her intention is to learn about him through Grayfia who she assumes is knowledgeable about him.

When Grayfia is approached with the question, she is a little stumped on how to answer as she herself has difficulty to truly comprehend the depth of her own Master.

"About Master… he is a very fickle being." Grayfia started and shuddered at what horrendous act he had done in the name of entertainment. "But as long as Milady is able to stay in his good graces, you will live a very easy and carefree life since he treats his family very kindly and fulfills whatever requests they have." Grayfia shows a pang of deep regrets. "Especially your daughter since the Master is quite fond of his daughters and has adopted quite a lot of them." She said and looked at Hinami who was hugging various big plushies to see which was the best.

"He has other daughters?" Ryoko shows an expression of surprise and confusion as the mansion is quite empty.

"Yes, they are on a trip with their mothers in another world." Grayfia nodded and casually dropped a bomb on Ryoko's world view that thought she was still in the same world.

"Other worlds?" Ryoko looks puzzled by what Grayfia said and Grayfia has to explain about other worlds that she visited before and how Ray can enter them with his power.

Ryoko felt dizzy having her worldview shattered and quite simply, overwhelmed by the existence of Ray.

But regardless, she still feels very grateful for what Ray did for her and saved her from her world. If this truly is another world and her cannibalistic diet problem with Hinami had been resolved. That means she and Hinami can finally live a normal life. No longer do they need to live on the run and in fear of CCG and other Ghoul. For all that, she is willing to do much worse than being a wife for a stranger she never met. Besides, from what she sees with her eyes and what she heard from Grayfia, her new husband might not be a bad one. Perhaps an ideal one for her and most importantly, for Hinami too.

Later in the evening, they finally went shopping for Hinami and herself. They even bought enough stuff to create a mountain of shopped goods which made her think she and Hinami might have splurged a little too much.

"I assume that you two had bought everything you two needed?" Ray suddenly walked out from behind the large pile of things piled up at the front door and looked at it before waving his paw which made them disappear. "I just sent them to your room. You two just returned in time for dinner."

"Y-Yes… husband." Ryoko almost fumbled, still trying to get used to her new husband considering her previous one had died not too long ago and she still hadn't fully moved on and simply forced herself to for the sake of Hinami and their future. After all, it depended on Ray.

Ray quirked his brow looking at the obviously forced attempts of Ryoko trying to call him that way. He can read her mind and know that she has come to terms with her new life and is trying her best to act so. However, just because she is doesn't mean she is comfortable with it yet to open her heart bare to someone she barely meet for a day.

"Just call me Ray if you want. I didn't really mind it and I have all the time in the world to wait. I did not expect you would open your heart that easily and throw yourself at me. Although, I have to admit it is fun to watch you struggle to force yourself to accept me." Ray shrugs and walks up to Hinami.

Meanwhile Ryoko panicked when Ray walked up to Hinami, unsure of his intention but then remembered what Grayfia said about Ray being very fond of his daughters. So, she calmed down to give him the benefit of doubt and see what he was going to do.

As for Hinami, she sort of understands that she now has a new father. Normally, a child her age wouldn't understand when their parents suddenly changed, especially when she liked her original father very much.

But the recent incident where she almost got her mother killed, forced her to mature and made her understand that her real father had indeed died, killed by the evil people in trench coats. She also understands that without a father to provide for her and her mother, they will keep living on the run from those evil people just like how her mother has to live under the grace of the Anteiku coffee shop owner. So, to return to her old happy life. She needs her new father and so does her mother.

That's why, Hinami understands that she must be cordial. Besides, she quite liked her new father who is very kind. Although it confuses her why he is a cat, her father is also a god. Which she didn't really understand other than god is a very powerful being that can grant people wishes.

So, as Ray stared at her, she stared back at him blankly. Unsure what she was supposed to do until he told her a moment later.

"Carry me."

"Okay…" Hinami was a little unsure by the odd request but she still bent down and picked up Ray who lifted his paws up waiting to be carried.

Ryoko at the side is also a little confused and turns to Grayfia for an answer which she gladly offers.

"Master sometimes feels lazy to walk and likes to be carried around by his daughters." Grayfia said while Ryoko nodded unsurely.

"Let's go, Kuroka is waiting for us." Ray said to everyone before ordering Hinami to walk to the dining room.

Hinami herself didn't mind carrying Ray since he felt fur felt nice and fluffy. Also, she finds him cute as any children would to a cat.

(AN: Sorry, I intentionally do not focus on the rest of the Chat Group world because I know very little about the One Piece world. But I will write a little about the Battle of Marineford.

For now, Ray is going to pick up a few daughters while Sirin is away. Hinami is the first since the cinnamon roll deserves it. As for her mother… Idk, just a whim. Definitely not setting up for a future Oyakodon +18. Yeap, definitely not. 😗)
