god's visitation

Kur's plans had to be revised; the war was now personal. Chuk and Jeni remained loyal, but Kur had already distanced them from his plans, regardless of the consequences. Meanwhile, King Kahlan had taken Tamra captive after their encounter at the park.

King Kahlan, a ruler plagued by mistrust, even kept his personal guard at arm's length. The incident between Tamra and Kur reinforced his paranoia, convincing him that Tamra was a traitor. He was determined to eliminate any threats, including Kur.

"I entrusted him with my powers and gave his lover a second chance at life, yet he dares to abandon his mission now?" Rahl fumed to his assistant, Goz. "He hasn't even secured the most crucial item I requested."

Rahl's patience wore thin, tired of the silence from Kur and Tamra. He was determined to assert his dominance and couldn't wait much longer. Goz cautiously spoke up, "Master, going to war without the most vital weapon would mean certain defeat for us."

Kings from other kingdoms heard about the war King Kahlan was planning against Kur and brought the matter to God's attention. After some deliberation, the court concluded that they had to stop King Kahlan's war plans. God sent a few messengers to Kur, who were able to locate him using a compass provided by God. Meanwhile, God and some honorable men decided to visit King Kahlan, also known as the "big fish." A guard entered to inform King Kahlan of God's arrival, saying, "My King, the Supreme One is here." King Kahlan became enraged and struck the guard with his rod, turning him to ashes.

"How dare you call another person a supreme being in my own palace!" King Kahlan exclaimed, his anger evident. He gazed out the window, spotting God and the others. "Tell them I'll join them shortly," he instructed the remaining guard, exiting the scene without hesitation. The guard began to speak, "My King will…." but God interrupted, "No worries, I know what your King said and what happened up there." God's words were directed at the guard, who promptly departed, delivering the message without delay.

God decided to go up to King Kahlan's room, and as he approached, several guards attempted to block his path. However, God's own army defended Him, allowing him to continue uninterrupted. Upon entering King Kahlan's room, God saw the king sitting by the window, drinking. "So, your plan is to keep us waiting out there?" God said, slowly opening the door. King Kahlan quickly sat up straight, his eyes darting towards the window to see if anyone was watching. "Who asked you to come into my room?" he demanded, trying to hide his growing fear. "Where are my guards?" he asked, his voice laced with anxiety. As God drew closer, King Kahlan's fear intensified, his heart racing with guilt. "Are you looking for the guard you killed?" God asked, His voice firm but calm. King Kahlan's composure began to falter, but he struggled to maintain his royal demeanor. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice laced with guilt and apprehension.

Kur, on the other hand, warmly welcomed the visitors, recognizing the Supreme Being and showing respect, despite never having met Him personally. The visitors delivered God's message of peace, and Kur knew he should reconsider his actions. However, his priority was to free his girlfriend from King Kahlan's captivity. Chuk hid behind a corner, eavesdropping on Kur's conversation with the visitors. "He isn't bothered about his assistant anymore," Chuk thought to himself. If war was imminent, Kur would need a formidable army, a fierce battle force, because King Kahlan seemed unwilling to tolerate any threats to his plans.
