Welcome home

As Raven and I launched our combined attack, the air sizzled with the intensity of our magic. Fire and shadows intertwined, striking Mary with unrelenting force. She screamed in frustration, the light around her flickering and dimming. Her grip on her magic was slipping, and it was evident that the ritual's suppression of ambient magic was taking its toll.

But before we could press our advantage, Mary raised her hand, and a blinding flash of light erupted, forcing us to shield our eyes. When the light faded, she was gone, leaving only the faint scent of ozone in the air.

I glanced at Raven, who was panting from the exertion. "Did we get her?"

Raven shook her head, her expression grim. "No. She escaped, but she's weakened. We need to find her before she recovers."

I nodded, determination hardening my resolve. "Let's go."
