Possibility

In front of the bonfire, I stopped these two idiots who wanted to take Caroline's food.

"Don't touch it. It's only for Caroline," I shouted to Olivia in her elf form and Cecilia, who continued to blow smoke from her mouth. She had just eaten hot charcoal out of curiosity about the taste.

"Don't you treat Caroline very well? It's not fair," Olivia said while lying on the ground, wagging her hands. From the start, she didn't look like a goddess.

I answered confidently, "Caroline's figure looks like royalty; the way she talks, her clothes, and her behaviour reflects that; that's why I can't bear to let her eat frog meat."

"Cheating . . . I want to eat bird meat too," Olivia cut in.

"Then let me eat your frogs."

"Stop, Caroline, and they're just commoners. Even if they eat fodder, it's not a problem."

"Your nutmeg thing... I'm a goddess, and my level is above the nobles. Look at my body, too; this is the hallmark of someone more than noble. Is this still doubtful?"

"Yeah, apart from your chest, I don't know what's good about you."

"Olivia's secret move."

She jumped at me and then grabbed my neck with her thighs while teasing me.

"You like perverted things; try to do it to me."

"You flirty goddess, I won't be influenced by you... didn't you say you weren't interested in me?"

"Then let it go now, okay now."

"You just want to tie me up so I can get you pregnant; if you have kids, then I won't be able to leave you."

"Exactly, this is just a precautionary measure."

"Still refuse."

"Prepare to die."

Cecilia and Caroline just enjoyed the bird's meat while watching the two of us, who were busy wrestling.

There was a movement in the bushes until Caroline took my mask and put it on my face, which this flirtatious goddess was crushing. We turned our eyes towards the bushes, and what appeared from there was a little girl with bunny ears who seemed to have lost her balance and fallen forward.

"Ayo, are you okay?"

I tried to push Olivia's body away; at times like this, she was the strongest.

"Stop slashing my pants, you goddamn goddess."

"I won't let you go before I can eat the bird's flesh."

"What meat? Cecilia's already eaten it."

"Impossible."

After seeing Cecilia lick her lips in satisfaction, she finally let go of me.

I walked closer to Caroline to cast light healing magic. Healing magic is an elemental magic that everyone can learn.

"How is the condition?"

"She's just exhausted, as if something was chasing her," just as Caroline said, a Dog Hunter with three heads appeared in front of us.

His six eyes focused on me then he jumped up quickly. I was about to knock him down with magic, but Cecilia had already jumped far above him. She raised her fist, and then the blow hit the Dog Hunter's body until it plunged into the ground.

"You're too much, Cecilia."

"I wonder what it tastes like. Is this creature good to eat?"

Her thoughts are not far from the word food; on the other hand, I carry the little girl to lay on the leaves near the bonfire that warms like a fireplace.

It was nighttime, and only the moonlight was our light.

I sat leaning against the tree wall while Olivia yawned and rested her head on my shoulder.

"You still haven't slept?"

"I was thinking about many things in that world."

"Even though you intend to leave that world, you still remember it; humans are weird."

"Whether the memories are painful or happy, they are still precious; that's why we are called alive."

"I don't understand; for now, lend me your thighs; I want to sleep."

Before I agreed, she had done it and was fast asleep.

The following day I asked everyone except Caroline and me to keep an eye on the situation. With Olivia's sword at my waist, I watched every trace of the devil I found.

Speaking of the bunny girl we saved yesterday, her name is Sofia; she went from home to look for her sister whom the devil kidnapped to a place called the Tower of Trinity; it is said that her sister was made part of the tower as a source of energy to create demons, the new devil.

It's possible that apart from their race, they created races from other races.

Caroline, walking around with her umbrella, came down from the sky.

"Zack looks like you should see this?" her words as if shrouded with sadness; I have a bad feeling about this.

I followed Caroline from behind; after passing some trees and bushes, I was surprised by something. Right in my eyes, they placed dozens of human heads on a stick, some of which had become skulls and some rotted or still intact.

"This is too cruel."

"This is the evil; they don't care about human life... when fighting them, there's no need to show mercy," Olivia interrupted.

"For now, I will bury them properly."

I hit the ground then a giant plant burst out from there, swallowing their whole being into it. It would be very time-consuming to bury them in the environment because that was the only thing I could do for them.

Caroline and I looked up at the tall tower that soared into the sky. They brought people's entire bodies to the building to become demons; in the end, they would replace the severed heads with the leaders of the monsters that had previously died during the war. It was the so-called Demon Ritual.

With this, what Cecilia did was right even if she didn't realise it; rather than just letting the demon's body go, it was better to eat it. Or at least I should crush the head.

"Let's go back, Caroline."

"All right." Caroline walked beside me without closing the umbrella in her hand.

"Are you okay walking with it on?"

"No, I feel comfortable with an umbrella covering me."

"She just has a habit like that; vampires are never afraid of the sun," Olivia added.

I did see Caroline not wearing an umbrella when she left the house, and it was fine.

Cecilia and Sofia are still fast asleep; for Sofia, I don't mind, but for Cecilia, it's not that she sleeps too much.

I woke her up, "Get up."

When she opened her eyes, the first word that came out was, "Hungry? Isn't the food ready yet?"

Caroline laughed. "She's still delirious."

"Today, we only eat fruit."

"What?"

It always surprised her. As a result of the commotion, Sofia also woke up.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?"

She shook her head before continuing, "Thank you again for saving me, and now I will go to the tower."

"That can't be; let us replace you... last night you couldn't sleep because you were badly injured; let me and Cecilia go."

"But –"

"There is a terrible place; wait here with Caroline until we return. I have confirmed that the demons have left this forest," at my statement Sofia nodded in agreement.

After breakfast, I mounted Cecilia's body in dragon form and landed in front of the painted red tower. Cecilia smiled contentedly.

"I will eat all the demons in it; it must taste perfect."

"There's a possibility that the demons here were made from human bodies. Are you still going to eat them?"

"Why not?" she answered me while tilting her head.

I was stupid for the asking.

Cecilia continued, "When I was in the city, I didn't kill humans just so the other dragon races wouldn't be blamed for my actions."

"I understand your reasoning; thank goodness you've only been stealing their money. Let's go in."

"With pleasure."

We passed through the giant gate afterwards.
