The Curse Of Primordials

The kings POV

Domain of Egypt,

As I watched the massive golden gates of my throne room swing open, a wave of anxiety washed over me. Luke, the head of the Raza family, entered with a nervous demeanour. His back was straight, but I could see the tension in his every step.

He knelt before me, his voice quivering. "The Raza family head is waiting, Your Majesty."

I nodded, my voice echoing with authority. "Let him in."

Luke approached with long strides, though his posture was rigid, betraying his unease. His well-built form and short black hair did little to hide the anxiety that seemed to emanate from him.

"I can feel it," I began, my voice heavy with dread. "The curse has awakened. Tell me, Luke, where is Caedes?"

Luke stammered, "Y-Your mm-majesty, the boy… Actually, due to a fight between some children, Caedes died."

A deep frown formed on my face. "Do you know what this curse means? How many people ever could manipulate elements through their Bloodline gifts?"

Despite his fear, Luke answered with a shaky confidence. "Not more than eight people have awakened such an ability in the last century, my lord."

"Indeed," I said, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on me. "And what if I told you that this curse allows the boy to manipulate elements effortlessly?"

The realisation hit Luke hard. His face went pale, and his body trembled. "That doesn't matter now since he's no more. Is the boy truly dead?"

"The boy's immortal," I stated firmly.

The impact of my words was immediate. Luke's body seemed to lose all strength, his disbelief turning into sheer terror. Immortality was supposed to be a legend, a myth—how could it be real? I could sense his fear, a feeling so intense it was almost palpable.

Seeing his mounting horror, I knew what was coming. Luke's attempt to flee was frantic, and he sprinted out of the hall, desperate to escape the weight of my words.

I watched him go with a mix of grim satisfaction and concern. With a casual gesture, I summoned one of my guards through the system, instructing them to deal with the aftermath. Luke's demise was regrettable but necessary.

Moving my hands into the air, I used the system to open a chat.

[ The World Government ]

My consciousness was taken to a virtual council chamber of the World Government.

I convened with my fellow leaders, the atmosphere tense as we discussed the implications of the curse and the mysterious boy.

"The curse has awakened," I began, my tone somber. "The world spirit has sent another heir into the fray. I believe the curse will fully harness the god's system within days. However, the boy is currently missing."

King Philip's face tightened. "Is the news accurate? The destruction brought by the heir of the Werewolves still haunts me. If not for our foresight, we might have been driven to extinction."

Salvador's voice was steady. "Calm yourself, Philip. What do we know about this boy's identity?"

I replied, "Name: Caedes. Heir of an unknown race. Passive ability: Healing."

Anna's eyes widened with concern. "Healing oneself… That's a pretty rare gift. Finding his race might be easier than the last one. What about his parents?"

I shook my head. "He was adopted."

Queen Sophie's frustration was clear. "It's fine. We still have time. Even with his bloodline powers, it would take him at least a decade before he becomes a significant threat. We'll put his name on the wanted list."

King Philip sighed heavily. "So, it is truly happening. We thought the demons were our only remaining concern. How long has it been since someone emerged with the audacity to make even us, the strongest humans, wary?"

As I concluded the meeting, a heavy weight settled on my shoulders. The world was on the cusp of a profound change, and I could feel the shifting tides of fate. The challenges ahead were daunting, and I braced myself for the uncertainty that lay in wait.

Caedes' POV.

I glanced at the transparent screen floating in front of me, my mind still spinning from everything that had happened. The message was clear:

[ The god's system ]

(By the administrator.)

While I was absorbed in the basics, the system had neglected to explain the power system in detail. One of the most fundamental ways to become a contestant is through the bloodline system. People born with a high density of their ancestral god's bloodline can tap into their powers.

The message went on, detailing that for a beast tamer, finding the god's essence is crucial to awakening their bloodline. Alternatively, one could purchase a God's essence from the outside world, which is said to be formed from the remnants of a dead god and used to awaken one's bloodline.

(That's all I can say… Anyway, good luck with your journey ahead! Ps: Travel towards the north.)

As the message ended, a sudden ring echoed in my mind. I looked at the floating interface from my bracelet, which now displayed:

[First cleansing completed! The player has a chance to awaken a bloodline.]
