Part 1 | Segment 0.3 | A Great Skeleton... ?

In just a few moments Papyrus picked up Sans and held him like a football on one hand.

Sans: whoa, whoa, whoa, paps what are you doing? put me down, bro.

Papyrus: Sans, you like sports, right?

Sans: bro, where are you getting at?

Papyrus: Good, why don't you be like a responsible older brother land in that touchdown to that weird, overly, large gate for me?

[M]

Polly: No. Way. Don't tell me-

Mani: He's going to send him like a rocket, haha!

Polly: Mani…

[M]

Sans: Responsible? Responsibility?? Two things, paps'.

Papyrus stretches his arm in preparation and then he throws Sans to the gate.

Polly: He actually threw him…!

Mani: He wasn't bluffing!

Sans: First things, first, this is not a touchdown and skeletons don't fly.

Polly: Talking in mid-air?

Papyrus: Isn't that amazing, i just made the first skeleton fly!

We hear a crash in the bush near the gate we entered from. Me and Mani look in surprise wondering what's gonna happen next.

Papyrus patted himself off and marched off after saying, "You'd best put more back-BONE into it next time, Sans!" But as he was, Sans appeared right behind him leaning against the tree I am hiding behind. To my surprise, I accidentally blurted out his name, "Sans!?" Fortunately; however, Papyrus didn't actually hear me as he was more focused on his monologue.

Papyrus: Sigh… Why does someone as great as me… Have to do so much to get some recognition…

Sans: Pfft, wow, 'sounds like you're really working yourself… Down to the BONE.

Polly: He can't be serious…

Papyrus: SANS! I can't believe you!

Sans: haha, aw c'mon, paps, you know that was funny.

Papyrus: It was clever and I hate it, ugh… I will attend to my puzzles and traps! GOOD. BYE.

Papyrus finally marches off and I come from hiding to talk to Sans again.

Sans: welp, now that my awesome bro has gone to do his puzzles, that'll give you the chance to go run-off before he finds you… And if he does… Then you'll have to sit through more BONE-funny jokes.

Polly: So, wait, your gonna just leave me here? I have no idea of where to go.

Sans: Look, human, I ain't even supposed your buddy-buddy anyway. but, i'm feelin' cute and deciding to let you off with a little support anyway. The path up ahead is straight-forward, so you won't be confused. I'll be right there in a minute, I just have some "business" to take care of.

Mani: Aren't you going to ask him about how he suddenly appeared right in front of us after being thrown to the gate?

Polly: …

Sans: What? Got a question? Wait, I think I know what your curious about.

Polly: Yeah, I was wondering about-

Sans: My favorite food is Ketchup.

Polly: What? No-

Sans: My Favorite TV show? Actually, my favorite TV show is Family Guy. I love that show, it's awesome bruh.

Polly: Ugh, never mind, I'm leaving then.

Sans: …?

I march off to the direction Papyrus went up ahead but then he asked for favor. "It may be a lot to ask but, To try not hide the next time he sees you, because he's been kind of down, and seeing a human for the first time just might make his day." I took a minute to think about it and just continued walking up ahead. "Thanks a million," He says before leaving in the opposite direction.

In the next area, the path ahead was blocked by thick forestry, forcing me to head left. As I walked, I came across another box and a SAVE point. When I interacted with it, the message appeared: "The convenience of the tree you hid behind fills you with DETERMINATION."

I saved my file, restoring my HP.

Polly: I mean—sure, I guess it did… but how does it know what I'm feeling so well?

Mani: I wouldn't overthink it. The system just kinda... knows. It's like... imagine if you were narrating yourself subconsciously, and it just grabs that feeling and condenses it into a single sentence. It basically highlights whatever happened before."

Polly: I think I get it... but if that's the case, what about Flowey? Wasn't that a highlight?

Mani: Ehh… it was, but I guess the system just... doesn't care?

Polly: Wow, I didn't know the system could be that... selective. Who's runn-

Mani: Polly! Look, your save file says something else...

The text flashed briefly: "You should..." before disappearing entirely. It was strange, so I checked the SAVE point again, but it only displayed the same message as before.

Polly: "Very strange," I thought. "Is the system malfunctioning?"

Mani looked just as confused as I was. Deciding to shrug it off, I assumed it was just a minor glitch. I looked up, and more text appeared: "Snowdin - Box Road."

Polly: I've never heard of a place called that before, but... I mean, monsters exist, so expect the unexpected, I guess.

I glanced at the SAVE point and noticed a box labeled "Dimensional Box." Curious, I opened it. At first, there was nothing—absolutely nothing. Intrigued, I cautiously reached inside, and it felt as though my hand had sunk into a deep, bottomless void. There was no end, no resistance, just an empty, endless space.

Mani's voice chimed in, explaining, "This box allows you to store and retrieve items from it. And not just this one—there are many boxes like it scattered throughout the Underground. Anything you place inside will be available in any other box you come across. That's why it's called the 'Dimensional Box.'"

To test it out, I placed one of the candies I had into the box and watched as it vanished from my hand, materializing into the void. I closed the box, opened it again, and reached in. Sure enough, I pulled the candy back out, just as it had been.

Polly: WHOA…

Mani: WHOA…

Polly: That's so cool! Do you think-?

Mani: Ah- I know what you thinking, please, don't do that. Even I don't know the consequences of putting a body in there…

Polly: Ahem, what a shame…

Mani: On the Brightside, you still have places to explore, yay!

Polly: Right! So let's not wait.

I stand up and look around and see two paths one ahead of me and another one behind me on the right. I chose to move the right which looks to be where Papyrus and Sans are and suddenly I get interrupted by a monster.
