Chapter 86

(Happy Valentine's Day, readers. If you're in a relationship, I wish you happiness. As for those who are single, don't worry, this isn't the only day where you are alone, so don't worry about it.)

"Treyni, Beretta, come on! We're basically already there!" Ramiris, demon lord and the queen of spirits. She was very enthusiastically making her way to Tempest while being followed by Treyni, who went from a calm and collected watcher of the forest, to someone who was now completely devout to Ramiris, to a fault. The only voice of reason was Berreta. Poor Berreta was juggling multiple responsibilities and making sure to keep Ramirirs and Treyni in check.

Right now, they were on their way to Tempest. Ramiris flew ahead of them, forcing Barreta and Treyni to keep up, not that Treyni would mind. Treyni was on the verge of being too far gone in serving Ramiris, though in her defense, Ramiris was the queen of spirits. Luckily, Beretta wasn't like that, on account of signing a contract with Rimuru to temporarily serve Ramiris.

"Lady Ramiris, please keep in mind that while you know Lord Rimuru, you can't just go uninvited and try to move here. You should speak to him before trying to do anything." Beretta had given up trying to stop her from trying to move here, but maybe Ramiris could be convinced to try to talk it out with Rimuru, perhaps an agreement of sorts.

"Me and Rimuru are friends, Beretta! Of course he'll let me in! We don't have to talk about it!" Rarmiris took no heed to Berreta's advice and enthusiastically rejected her. "Besides, isn't he the one that rules that town? Who else could-" Ramris stopped talking and froze on the spot. Her eyes widened as she felt…something or someone, but it wasn't just that, there was a presence, something…divine. In fact, she could feel two similar presences, but one was more distinct and spiritual.

Ramiris wasn't the only one feeling that. Treyni also stood still as she remembered who that belonged to. Beretta also felt it, but compared to Treyni and Ramiris, they felt a sense of danger. Barreta was instantly put on guard, putting Ramiris' safety first.

"You two feel that as well, right? Do you know what or who that is?"

"I don't know, Lady Ramiris." Beretta responded as they kept up their guard.

"Uh, I do. In fact I've met her before, but she has gotten stronger since the last time I've met her." Treyni responded in a bit of a shy tone.

"Treyni, tell us more! Is she dangerous?" Ramiris flew to Treyni and started flying around her head.

"No, she's a good person. We don't have to worry about her. Although it was kind of funny how I first met her, or more like sensed her. It was like she came out of nowhere, or like she appeared out of thin air."

"What do you mean? I can feel it, this person you're talking about isn't just a normal spirit, she something much, much greater than that. A spirit like that doesn't just tend to appear 'out of nowhere' like you say."

"But it's true, Lady Ramiris, that's how she appeared."

"Hmm, I'll see for myself." Ramiris responded as she started to fly ahead, leaving Treyni and Berreta behind.

"Slow down a little, Lady Ramiris!" Beretta shouted as they and Treyni moved to catch up to Ramiris.

There they are. I can see them. Ramiris, Treyni, and Berreta. Judging by how fast Ramiris is approaching, I can assume she really wants to see what I'm about. I thought there would be some caution in her or something.

"You! What are you?!" And there she was, floating in front of me, her wings flapping really fast. I'm kind of tempted to just grab them with my fingers.

"Hello, Ramiris, I am Artoria Pendragon, a spirit. Next to me is my wife, Shuna. Oh, and there's also Rimuru here."

"A sprit? Yeah, right! You're not just some little sparkle for a spirit, you're way beyond that! Tell me!" She yelled as she zipped around in front of me and around my head as she was shaking her arms in impatience of looking for an answer. I guess she really wants to know if she's ignoring Shuna and Rimuru.

"Alright, I'm a divine spirit mixed with dragon, but it's not just any dragon. Are you satisfied with my answer?"

.

.

.

"YOU'RE A WHAT?!" I flinched a little as did Shuna and Rimuru from how loud her high-pitched scream was. Can't a few hundred years pass so she can be in her grown version instead of this pixie-looking form?

"Alright, no need to yell like that, Ramiris. Greet Rimuru and my wife."

She finally noticed Rimuru and Shuna. "Oh hey, Rimuru."

"Uh, hi, Ramiri-" Rimuru was completely shut off as Ramiris went straight to Shuna.

"Now who are you? You're also not normal."

"I'm Shuna, Artoria's wife, and I've recently evolved into a Divine Oni." Ah, Shuna, always so nice and soft-spoken, a complete contrast to Ramiris, at least in my eyes.

"Huh? WHAT IS THIS PLACE!? Rimuru, what is going on!? WHat kind of people do you have here!? Are you even the leader here anymore?!" Once again, she's gotten another shock. It's kind of fun seeing her freak out constantly. Might as well show her Veldora and Diablo. Get it all out of her, actually maybe not, she might die from all the shock, and then she'll have to restart her reincarnation process all over again.

"Did you have to say it like that, Ramiris? And, uh, I think I'm the leader here. Well, I kind of do all the paperwork stuff and whatever Artoria tells me to do. So, I guess?"

"Huh? Is that what it means around here?"

"What do you mean?"

"Alright, how about we get to the point real quick? I'm sure you came here for reason Ramiris. So, what is it?" I had to cut in before things went down a different path.

"Oh yeah, I did. Right, right." She cleared her throat before talking again. "I'm moving here! I'm going to live here from today onwards!" She said as she put her hands on her hips, and tried puffing out what she had for a chest along with a smile on her face. Rimuru glanced at me, and I moved my eyes to indicate to him to let her do that. I've already explained myself to him.

"Um, well, Ramiris, you see-"

I cut him off. I don't know what he was going to say, but it clearly wasn't a clear "yes" or some kind of acceptance. "Of course you can move and stay here, Ramiris. Feel free to make yourself at home. In fact, feel free to make another labyrinth, I reccomend makiong one beneath the coliseum we have. You can ask Rimuru for help, he has some good ideas."

"Wait, really?" There it is again, she's surprised. She probably didn't think she'd make it this far.

"Of course. Welcome to the town of Pendragon."

"Pendragon? I thought this was Tempest."

"The capital is called Pendragon, and the empire is called Tempest, So it would be Pendragon, Tempest. That sounds kind of cool. Anyway, you came at a very good time, as you can see and hear, there's a massive festival happening in celebration of my marriage with my wife. And speaking of that, I'll be taking my leave now, there's a few more things, I need to set up." I finished saying that before leaving with Shuna, leaving those four to themselves.

"Alright, Rimuru, you heard her, I can stay here! And since I have permission to make a labyrynth here, I'm going to start immediately! Come on, Treyni, Beretta! You to, Rimuru, Artoria said you have ideas!" Ramiris very excitedly said, quite literally glowing and buzzing with more energy. Rimuru sighed and went along with Ramiris. It's not like he could stop her.
