Fay opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was the white ceiling above her.
She tried to move, but her body felt too stiff.
Closing her eyes, she took calm breaths before opening them again.
"Ace?" She tested her voice, and relaxed when she saw she could talk.
The sound of a door opening reached her ears, but she still couldn't turn her body in its direction.
"Fay?" She heard a voice she recognized. "You're awake!"
The excited voice became even clearer, as she felt them beside her.
Straining her body, she looked up, and saw Alexander.
"Hello," she managed to say.
"You're really awake," he said, relief heavy in his voice.
"Where's Ace? And Dream. Where's my grandfather?" She gasped, and tried to raise her body.
"You can't move, Fay. Not yet. I'll call another doctor and we'll check you, okay?"
She nodded, and he quickly hurried out of the room.
