Azel woke up in a crypt with no memory of who or even what he is. When he encounters a rather unfriendly duo he discovers that his true nature is that of a ticking time bomb.

Desperate to maintain his humanity, Azel agrees to accompany the two to a civilisation that actively despises his nature. And it certainly doesn't help when he finds himself in the middle of a power struggle between individuals he can't even fathom.

A Zombie's Path to Power

<p>Only when both Gryphon and penny fell asleep did Colwyn approach Azel. Despite struggling to see the knight's face through his armoured helm, the zombie deuced from his body language that he was feeling the stress of his mission again. Azel was no expert on feelings, in fact he was quite the opposite, but he deduced that Colwyn was struggling with this.</p>

<p>After all, even if their relationship is now estranged, Colwyn and Rio were good friends. Now in just a few years the two were actively planning the downfall of each other. And for what, because Rio had 'gone down the wrong path'? Azel shook his head as the drake knight sat on the opposite side of the camp fire, he just couldn't understand Colwyn's peculiar sense of ethics.</p>
