Title - Prelude to the Great Flood

The tension between Leucadius and Gaea simmered as they stood facing each other in his pocket dimension. Gaea's triumphant expression softened slightly as she took in Leucadius' surprised and slightly annoyed demeanor.

"So, what's the occasion, Gaea?" Leucadius asked, trying to maintain his composure despite the unexpected turn of events.

Gaea chuckled, enjoying the rare moment of seeing Leucadius caught off guard. "Oh, nothing much, just thought I'd pay a visit to my dear son and see how he's been faring."

Leucadius raised an eyebrow, not buying Gaea's innocent act for a second. "Cut the act, Gaea. I know you didn't come here just for a casual chat. What do you want?"

Gaea's smile widened, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "Well, since you asked so nicely, I thought I'd remind you of a certain event that took place a few centuries back."

"Oh…" Leucadius muttered, of course he knew what Gaea was on about. Twice he had proven to her that marrying late would ensure a longer life, but here comes Lamech…married late yet died early.

If Leucadius was superstitious, he'd have concluded that it was done by something supernatural.

"Yes, that," Gaea said, her voice tinged with satisfaction. "What's up with this fine man? Color me surprised when suddenly he just kicked the bucket…young as he is even."

Leucadius sighed, realizing he couldn't escape her victory taunts so he just tuned her off, however, similar to his Motherbox, his ability failed.

Gaea's smile widened into a grin. "Come now, you don't actually think you've become Omnipotent even in my dimension have you?"

"..." Leucadius just glared at her but it didn't affect her at all as she began laughing.

"Fine. I'm sorry." Leucadius quickly apologized, cutting Gaea's momentum off.

"Huh?"

"I said…I am sorry."

"Wha…you…tsk. How boring." She clicked her tongue and turned away to leave causing her not to see Leucadius' smile.

Some may see his apology as a form of submission, but Leucadius thought otherwise. There are times where, as a man, you ought to stand your ground even if you're killed for it, and they're also times when you just need to take a step back.

Neither of the two actions make you any less of a man, on the contrary, they elevate your position in the mind and hearts of a lot of people.

But to Leucadius, it was simply a manipulation tactic. Gaea liked and paid a lot of attention to winning. However it wasn't just winning that she liked, it was the look of defeat on the opponent's face that gave her the most joy.

Leucadius knew this. After spending three millennia with a person, you'd pretty much know a lot of things about that person. So in order not to give her that satisfaction, he quickly accepted his defeat with a smile.

And so, that chapter came to an end.

'Gods' A race of humanoid entities with a rather ambiguous origin, revered by mortals as divine beings possessing extraordinary powers and abilities far beyond their human comprehension.

In the period of Early Humans, while Leucadius kept an eye on the descendants of Adam and Eve, other Gods also descended after taking interest in Humans and their planet.

It all started as an exploration of sorts. Various Pantheons were curious as to which Planet could force an entire Host of Celestial to attack them while still standing.

The Celestials were forces beyond the forces of nature, a casual wave of their hand should be able to shatter an entire Solar system, yet, this little uninhabited planet took such an attack and still remained intact.

Curiosity, as is known, most often that not, kills the Cat. It wasn't curiosity itself that was bad, it was what came when you let your curiosity lead you that was dangerous and deserving of death.

When it all began, it was merely as a cursory glance at the planet's inhabitants, but as time went by, the Minor Gods and messengers sent down by the various Pantheons allowed the words and songs of praise and luxury they got on Earth to get to their heads.

They were beings who, in their home dimension, were treated like servants due to their inability or lack of proper power thereof. Coming down to meet humans who were even weaker than they were while also being primitive in their thinking, they felt entitled.

They felt that these people should serve them. Since their Superiors already sat atop their magnificent Thrones in the highest of heavens, they should also take possession of this minor realm and make it theirs.

And so they took men and women alike and bred with them. The son and daughters of Gods laid with the daughters and sons of men.

(A/N: It was written Sons of God laid with Daughters of men. But I'm assuming there were also female Minor Gods who came down. I'm an advocate of Gender equality. They can't just blame us men for everything.)

In so doing, beings that were neither Human or Divine were born. They were abominations in the very essence of the word. They reeked of utter chaos and their presence on Earth served only to destroy its ecology.

The results of the abominable Union between Divine and Human gave rise to Giants, dwarfs, imps, goblins, orcs, orges, centaurs.

Leucadius who was observing didn't know how that even happened but seeing it happen, he was reminded of his distant relatives…the Deviants. The fact that these beings were as a result of half human origin served to prove that the human gene was the most adaptable in the cosmos.

It could take in foreign genes and produce something in-between. It was both good and bad. The Chuunibyo in him wanted to let them be so this world would develop in a fantasical setting, however.

"They're destroying me gradually." Gaea came over looking weary and weak all over.

"What?" Leucadius asked in both shock and worry.

"Those things…they aren't mine. Their energies are different. That is not the cosmic energy that Humans should have at all." Gaea complained and went on about how it was destroying her gradually.

In short summary. They were beings that weren't even supposed to exist. The energy was neither Chaotic like Chthon's or Demonic like Set's. It was just a whole new energy that she didn't feel comfortable with.

"I'll do something about it." Leucadius said sadly. He knew what must be done at this point in time. Although it would pain him in doing it, it was a necessity. It would also serve as a note of warning to the Pantheon's involved.

He had long since recovered his energy and had even developed new methods of fighting that he didn't have during his battle with Odin so he wasn't afraid of any God.

"You have my thanks." Gaea said but Leucadius shook his head.

"If I were you, I'd hold off on that for now." Leucadius said. What he was about to do won't be pleasant and Gaea may or may not like it.

"I trust you." She said and teleported away.

Leucadius sighed and turned his gaze to the humans of Adam's genealogy to see if any of them was still clean and free from the taint that was Divine Energy.

Divine Energy wasn't meant for humans. Humans had their own unique Cosmic Energy which had become tainted by that of the Gods with their own energy.

Of course, According to the law, Energy can be converted from one form to the other, however, in order to accomplish that, you'd first have to possess a certain level of power and control.

Humanity hasn't reached that stage yet, and surprisingly, the Vishanti were doing nothing about it since it was a planetary level damage.

"I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them." That was the first thing Leucadius said to Noah as soon as he appeared in his dreams

Noah was the only one who found favor in his eyes. Even with the level of debauchery and sin that has been introduced to the Humans, he remained steadfast in his ways. Ways that have been passed down from his father and his father before him.

"I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out." Leucadius began as soon as he got Noah's confused yet listening attention.

"This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high. Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks."

"I am going to open the floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you."

"You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you.Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them."

And it happened that upon awakening, Noah initially thought he was hallucinating and totally disregarded Leucadius' instructions. He even told his family about it and warned them against the evil practices of the people around them.

The next night, Leucadius appeared once again, of course he wasn't physically present, it was more of a dream walking with his voice alone than actual appearance.

"You brat! How dare you disregard my instructions!" In Noah's dreamscape, a raging storm began, a clear testament of his God's anger. "Be sure to begin construction immediately! Am I understood?"

Leucadius didn't know whether it was fear but fewer people were able to talk back to him whenever he appeared in their dreams. Enoch was the only outlier. Enoch appeared in his dream, not the other way around.

And so, upon awakening this time around, Noah immediately began construction.

120 years.

That was how long it took for Noah to construct the Arc with the help of his family. He was already 627 years of age when it was completed. He had married at the age of 500, given birth to three children and began the construction while they were kids.

Now the children were already married too while still helping their father in his absolutely crazy plan of building the arc.

Leucadius was amused that even in this day and age, seeing someone doing something that goes against your conventional thinking immediately classifies that person as insane.

However, Noah, as steadfast as he was, never faltered. There were times when he was tired but a small dose of healing and reinvigorated his body and mind.

And so, upon completion, Leucadius appeared once again and said. "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Seven days from now I will rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."

And Noah did as instructed. And seven days later, Leucadius appeared in the skies above the earth and looked down. He was about to recreate what the Celestial had done 3000+ years ago and he knew it would take a good portion of his energy to do that. So taking a deep breath, he spread his hands out.

"Almighty Push!"
