Leucadius POV
I could see the confusion and skepticism in Hank Pym's eyes as he tried to piece together the unfamiliar faces and the conversation taking place before him.
He turned to me with a mix of curiosity and wariness, no doubt probably wondering what I was dragging him into.
Peggy's nod of reassurance would be a small comfort, but it didn't fully alleviate the tension that hung in the air.
I could immediately sense Hank's growing impatience as he finally voiced his question. "What exactly are you talking about?"
My smile widened with a bit of mischief. I gestured to Hala, who had been observing silently.
She rolled her eyes but complied, conjuring two golden parchments from thin air before floating the parchments the air and landing neatly in front of Nick Fury and Hank Pym.
"These are no ordinary documents," I began. "You'll need to use a bit of your blood to sign them. It is to maintain absolute secrecy and would not be putting your lives at risk."
Hank and Fury exchanged confused glances of skepticism and concern before both turning toward Peggy for confirmation.
She met their gazes with a reassuring nod giving them the green light to proceed.
With a resigned sigh, Hank retrieved a small knife from his lab coat pocket, while Fury simply used his utility blade. Both men made a shallow cut into their thumbs, allowing a drop of blood to fall onto the parchments. As the blood touched the golden surface, the documents glowed faintly.
With the signing complete I focused my gaze on the two of them and said. "The world will end in twenty years."
The room fell into a profound silence. The perfect reaction I was looking for. I wonder how they'll tak-
"There is a possibility that the world will end in twenty years." Before anyone could react, Hala coughed softly and rephrased my words.
I rolled my eyes theatrically with a groan. "Hala, I'm trying to create a sense of suspense here."
Ignoring the murmurs of disbelief from the others, I continued. "Let me explain. We're dealing with something much larger than the typical threats you're familiar with. You know the Gods from your history stories? Yup, they are all real."
I watched their faces as they tried to grasp the enormity of my words. "The Circle of Gods maintains a delicate balance of power within their respective sphere of interests and-"
"Don't you think that's a bit farfetched?" Before I could proceed further with my explanation, Hank, as expected of a true man of science interrupted with the question.
"Dr. Pym!" Peggy made to rebuke the man but I raised my hand to silence her.
"No. Let him." I said calmly, my eyes never leaving his. "How is that farfetched? So you believe in the possibility of alien life but you find it hand to believe the existence of…Gods?"
"It's not that I find the concept of gods implausible per se," Hank began thoughtfully, "but rather that the term 'god' often encompasses a broad and vague range of definitions. In scientific terms, we're conditioned to seek empirical evidence and tangible phenomena. Until now, what we consider 'gods' typically falls into mythological or metaphysical domains, not measurable scientific data."
He paused, adjusting his glasses. "I'm open to the idea of powerful, possibly cosmic entities, but for me to take it seriously, there needs to be a framework. An understanding of their influence on our universe, how they interact with the laws of physics, and their tangible impact on the fabric of reality."
"Fair point," I acknowledged, nodding in agreement. "It's exactly that need for a framework that I'm offering you. The existence of the Circle of Gods and their role in shaping the Earth. Their influence extends to the very fabric of reality, shaping the cosmos as we know it. The power levels within our galaxy are immense, but the universe at large operates on a scale that few can comprehend."
Peggy, Fury, and Hank exchanged looks of incredulity, their expressions one of confusion. Hala, however, remained impassive, her gaze fixed on me with a mixture of resignation and patience.
This wasn't the first time she'd been present as Leucadius regaled what he knew about the Universe. Countess humans have had the misfortune of listening in on this as not many remained normal after.
Hank finally broke the silence, his voice tinged with skepticism. "If they're that powerful, why do you need the Pym Particles? What could it do against such beings if their stories hold True?"
"You're being too serious." I said with a chuckle. "Do I look that dangerous to you?"
"What?" Hank asked while Fury quirked his brows.
Nick already knew that Lucas was weird since the incident in the country house, hence his interest in his statement. Peggy on the other hand, despite hearing everything from Hala still felt a need to confirm from the source.
"I am a God…nah, a King of Gods. A Godking." I began and snapped my finger causing reality to twist inside the office room as a miniature projection of the Nine realms and all it's adjoining Pocket dimensions appeared.
"This is Ygdrassil and as you can see on the branches, they're Ten Realms. Heaven, Asgard, Alfheim, Midgard, Jotunheim, Svartalfheim, Nidavellir, Muspellheim, Niflheim and Helheim."
As I spoke the projection enlarged as I mentioned each Realm.
"What are those?" Fury asked while pointing to the various lines of varying proportions attached to various realms.
"Those are space channels. Portals connecting various realms to other realms. Take for example, those realms that you'd only describe as straight out of a depiction of hell are all connected to an Extra dimensional realm collectively called the Underworld."
I paused as I observed the silent contemplative looks on the face of the three humans before continuing. "Similarly, the Earth…" the projection of the Earth enlarged to show many space channels connected to it. "...is connected to a few…Pocket dimensions and Realms."
"Why is that?" Hank asked as he walked around the various realms and trying to analyse them.
"Because those are the Realms of Gods."
"Aren't they supposed to be a part of the Ten Realms?" Peggy asked and I asked back.
"Why would you think that?"
"Well, since Heaven and Asgard are there as well as the various biblical descriptions of hell, I'm surprised they're not a part of the Ten Realms."
"Hmm. Say…you're stranded on an island with 19 People, 10 of each gender, you included. Each pair then decided to pick a portion of the island to set your base and procreate since there's no life outside the island. A thousand years later do you think your descendants would still be satisfied with that island alone?"
Peggy frowned at the question before shaking her head. "Similarly, the Earth was once the birthplace of a few such beings. As you probably thought, a war broke out that led to the rampant release of certain energies. In the aftereffects of the war, the Earth was in the same state as it was in the biblical beginnings."
"Then-"
"Don't interrupt me." I said and shot a glare at Fury who narrowed his eyes but nodded.
I took a moment to gather my thoughts, my expression turning serious. "Certain survivors of that war all settled down in their respective Realms where they defended. Heaven, Asgard, Heliopolis, Takamagahara and the likes. Their various Supreme Gods all created these Realms, leading to the collective confusion that each Creation God created the Earth."
"They didn't?"
"No they didn't. Gaea did."
"The Greek Mother Goddess?" Peggy asked and I nodded but added. "She isn't only their mother goddess. She was just more prominent there due to their unruliness."
"Anyways, that aside, how is this related to the Pym Particle?" Lucas asked rhetorically and snapped his finger causing the image of the Second and Third Hosts of Celestials above the earth like actual Gods.
"Celestials, the entities that form the highest echelon of cosmic power, can manipulate any and all forms of energy. They were essentially responsible for the Big Bang, the creation of our Universe." Lucas said and added internally. 'And more.'
"Their influence extends to all known forms of energy and matter." I continued, "There exists a realm of information, much like the Internet you're familiar with, called the Super Flow. It's a cosmic database where special humans throughout history, including yourself, have tapped into, acquiring profound knowledge and making discoveries."
"The term 'Discovery' is a recurring theme in the scientific field because it represents humanity's ongoing quest to understand the universe." I added and glanced at Hank and Fury, noting their intense focus.
"The Pym Particles, while remarkable, do not fall under the category of energy manipulation. Instead, they represent a fundamental law of size manipulation that intersects with the very nature of matter and reality. It's a law that's distinct from the forms of energy that the celestials typically manipulate."
I watched as the realization dawned on their faces. Hank's frown deepened, and he nodded slowly, processing the implications of my words. The Celestials were very much capable of Size alteration and considering that theirs was also fundamentally different from my Size manipulation, I could only hope that the Pym particles could reduce the difference in strength.
Fury's expression remained neutral, but his eyes showed a flicker of understanding which left me impressed. The dude was capable of quick adaptability.
Peggy leaned forward, her gaze fixed on me. "So, what's the next step? How do we prepare for this cosmic threat you've hinted at?"
I smiled, a glint of satisfaction in my eyes. "The next step…I would require a Vial of Pym Particle."
…
As I stared at the dial of Hank's Pym Particles, the implications of this small device weighed on my mind. My cosmic energy grants me the ability to alter my size at will, a power that has served me well in countless situations.
Yet, despite its efficacy, there is a fundamental difference between this form of size manipulation and what Pym Particles offer. I've carefully considered this difference, and it's precisely why I needed to acquire them.
My own size manipulation, fueled by cosmic energy, allows me to expand or contract my physical form, a feat that comes with its own set of advantages and limitations.
When I alter my size through cosmic energy, I am directly harnessing and channeling the vast reserves of power at my disposal. This method allows me to achieve impressive feats of strength and durability, whether I'm shrinking to microscopic dimensions or growing to enormous proportions.
It's a proof to the versatility and scope of cosmic energy. However, this approach is not without its drawbacks.
One major limitation is the strain it places on my energy reserves. When I increase my size significantly, the demand on my cosmic energy intensifies, leading to faster depletion of my reserves.
This can result in reduced effectiveness and even vulnerability if the energy is exhausted or depleted too quickly.
The ability to control my form is tied directly to the finite nature of my energy pool, which can impose constraints on my endurance and operational capacity during prolonged engagements.
I had a Holy Fusion reactor, true, but even that was nothing in comparison to the infinite amount of energy a Single Celestial possess.
In contrast, Pym Particles operate through a fundamentally different mechanism.
These particles manipulate the very fabric of matter on a subatomic level, allowing for size changes without altering mass. By adjusting the spacing between atoms, Pym Particles can shrink or enlarge objects while maintaining their inherent physical properties.
This method of manipulation is more controlled and less taxing on my personal energy reserves.
With Pym Particles, the size alteration is sustained by the properties of the particles themselves, rather than by my direct cosmic energy, which means it offers a more efficient and reliable means of size manipulation.
The implications of this are significant.
With Pym Particles, I could theoretically achieve greater control over my physical strength and durability at various sizes.
For instance, when using my cosmic energy to grow in size, the increased strength I gain is directly proportional to the energy I expend.
The larger I grow, the more energy I need to maintain and control that size, which can eventually lead to diminishing returns if I push my limits.
Pym Particles, on the other hand, could allow me to maintain a stable level of strength and durability across different sizes without the same level of energy consumption.
This stability could be crucial in scenarios where sustained power and endurance are required.
Looking ahead, my preparations for the Celestial Fourth Host are paramount.
The threat posed by these cosmic entities is unprecedented, and my previous reliance on the Destroyer armor was ultimately ineffective.
The armor, while formidable, did not deliver the results I needed when faced with such overwhelming cosmic power. It was a valuable tool, but it lacked the flexibility and adaptability required for this new challenge.
By combining the size manipulation capabilities of Pym Particles with my cosmic energy, I could potentially optimize my power levels and enhance my effectiveness in combat against the Celestials.
This combination would allow me to adapt more dynamically to the varying demands of battle, whether I need to be an imposing giant or a virtually invisible speck.
The increased control and efficiency provided by the Pym Particles could make the difference between success and failure in this coming confrontation.
"Well then. I'll be taking my leave." Lucas said as he gripped the vial and opened his hand to show an empty palm. "Ah, and Peggy..?"
Peggy raised her head to Lucas who then smiled and said. "You'll all forget what you've heard until you see me or my son again."
"What? Why? And wait…your son? I didn't know you had one."
"Hmm. I don't. He'll be conceived this night." Lucas said and nodded before disappearing from the room with Hala in tow.
One of the many clauses in the agreement the duo had just signed was that they could only be privy to the information Lucas had shared when he wanted them to.
Peggy's case was different since she was connected to the ygdrassil system.
"Isn't this a little bit harsh, my Lord?" Hala asked as tbey portaled into tjw Hawthorne mansion.
"A bit manipulative, but a necessity. Wouldn't want them acting out unnecessary before the destined time. When the time is right, they'll know what they need to know and how to react…probably."
"My Lor-"
"Enough of that. I'll be quite busy for sometime. Return to Heaven and ask Aspect to ensure the Homunculus I sent back with the Throne doesn't show any flaws…"
"What?"
"Just go." Lucas said impatiently and snapped her out of the Earth entirely. "Now then…how about we make that heir the natural way."
