"I heard both guilds have sent only one representative," Natsu interjected.
"The Elf Guild is sending their elf goddess, Tiffany," Gray added.
"Speaking of Elf, does it mean elf? Is she really an elf with those pointed ears?" Lucy asked curiously.
"Elf is a guild established at the edge of the forest. They're said to be all forest elves, using 'Elf' as their surname. Though some claim they're descendants of demons, similar to those on Galuna Island," Gray explained.
"Demon descendants. Elves are known for their gentle nature, unlike that violent gorilla!" Everit scoffed from the doorway.
Lucy glanced at Everit, clearly not warming up to him.
"They weren't a prominent guild at first, nor well-known. However, in recent years, they've gained fame due to their ace, Tiffany, earning them the title of the Elf Guild," Erza informed them.
"I see, she seems like she'll be quite remarkable," nodded Lucy.
"At the very least, she's very strong," Erza remarked.
"Da Da Da"
Outside, there was the sound of hurried breathing and running.
A small, blue-haired loli rushed into the house but stumbled and fell flat on her face.
Everit neither helped nor supported her.
Jura looked at her with confusion.
The little girl picked herself up from the ground and shyly glanced at everyone. After catching her breath and steadying her emotions, she said, "I'm sorry I'm late. I'm Wendy from the Cait Shelter. Please give me your guidance."
"Huh?"
Everyone was taken aback. "A child?!"
"I-I'll do my best!" Wendy quickly added upon seeing their puzzled expressions.
"Just a child like this?" Sherry seemed a bit dissatisfied. "What is Cait Shelter thinking, sending her into such an important battle?"
"It's not just her; we won't let anyone down." A cat strolled in confidently. Compared to Wendy's shyness, she exuded a more confident aura. "Hello, everyone. I'm Carla. Wendy and I are here to assist in any way we can."
"!!!"
Happy was left speechless.
A white...
walking on two legs
and speaking.
Beautiful and
Elegant.
Wearing lovely clothes and a short skirt -
a female cat!
Happy's breath caught, excitement flooded his face, his eyes beating with excitement, his heart racing.
The white cat noticed Happy's reaction but turned away, ignoring him.
"!!!" Happy felt utterly defeated in an instant!
Summoning his courage, he approached Lucy and tapped her leg.
"What is it?" Lucy asked, looking down at Happy.
"Lucy, can you help me give this fish to that female cat?" Happy asked shyly.
"Huh?" Lucy grinned immediately. "Did you fall in love with her at first sight? But you have to handle these things yourself."
"But I'm shy," Happy mumbled, rubbing his cat's paws.
"There's a spark!" Lucy and Everit chimed in simultaneously, teasingly.
"You two!" Happy covered his eyes in embarrassment.
"That cat seems a bit special," Carla observed, glancing at Happy, who became visibly excited. At that moment, Happy even pondered what to name their child.
"I may not be skilled in combat," Wendy asserted, trying to prove herself. "But I can heal everyone and I'm well-versed in auxiliary support magic."
Summoning her courage, she added, "Please don't overlook us!"
"Don't be so timid, Wendy. You have your own talents," Carla reassured.
"Auxiliary?" Everit smiled, speaking up. "Interestingly, I specialize in support magic too."
Wendy turned to him.
Dressed elegantly, with a gentle smile and soothing words.
This man seemed so dependable!
"It's okay, being support is crucial and irreplaceable. There's no need to underestimate yourself. Use your strengths to assist everyone," Everit said warmly.
"Thank you, sir," Wendy responded quickly, feeling a sense of relief from his goodwill.
"I'm Everit," he introduced himself with a smile. "Let's work together."
"Yes, Mr. Everit."
"I'm sorry, Wendy, please don't misunderstand," Erza interjected gently. "We're just a bit surprised. But as the guild's representative, let's cooperate well."
"It's Erza, the Titania. And Carla, she's even gentler than what the rumors say!" Wendy admired Erza.
"Much better than expected," Carla remarked, a hint of pride in her stance.
"Do you read the newspapers?" Happy chimed in. "Then do you know me? I'm the Nekomander, Happy!"
"Humph." Carla turned around, ignoring him.
"You're so adorable when you're shy!" Happy covered his mouth, looking sheepish.
"She clearly doesn't want to pay attention to you," Lucy retorted.
"Lucy, you really don't understand women's hearts," Happy sighed.
"I am a woman," Lucy replied speechlessly.
"Nekomander—" Everit began with a smile.
Meanwhile, Happy paid no heed to the chatter around him, his gaze fixed on Carla with fascination.
"Huh." Carla turned away again, avoiding direct eye contact.
"She's destined to be a great beauty in the future."
"She's cute enough right now."
The three members of Blue Pegasus led Wendy to a nearby sofa and attended to her once more.
"I seem to be the last one. Sorry for being late." Suddenly, a woman appeared by the pillar.
Everit glanced at the figure standing before him.
"This woman... is it intentional?"
"Elf Goddess!" Lucy exclaimed, looking over.
She stood tall among women, about the height of a dove.
Her face was delicate and extraordinarily beautiful, easily rivaling Miss Mirajane in appearance.
Her hair was striking, transitioning from white to green in a gradient and styled into two ponytails.
True to her elven heritage, she sported pointed ears, distinguishing her from ordinary people.
Her emerald green irises gleamed like precious gems.
Her flawless fair skin bore no imperfections—no acne marks, moles, or scars.
"This is Tiffany Elf," Lucy nodded involuntarily. Such a beautiful girl—could she really be as violent as Everit had described?
"Hmph," Tiffany leaned slightly, resting her hand on a pillar.
Everit's expression darkened as her hand inadvertently pushed him against the wall.
Tiffany's lips curved into a slight smile as she greeted Everit by the door. "Mr. Everit, long time no see."
"Huh," Everit snorted coldly, refusing to meet her gaze.
Tiffany withdrew her hand and moved toward the group.
"Ms. Tiffany, hello."
"Hello, Ms. Erza."
Tiffany and Erza were quite familiar with each other.
They had become acquainted through Mirajane, who was a close friend of Tiffany's.
"Now that everyone's here, let's proceed with the strategy meeting," Jura suggested.
"Allow me to explain," said someone, producing a small stage from somewhere. They stood upon it in an odd pose, illuminated by spotlights.
