In surprise, he turned back towards the scrawny man that was allegedly his father, his other hand was raised slightly as though he tried to shield himself from the sword.

"Aryan," Vermil called as she stumbled to her feet. "I am sorry you had to meet him like this."

"Son…" Giving the man the courage he came out of the closet and pulled Aryan into a hug. "Oh God, I have dreamt of the days where I get to hold you like this as my son and not the Crowned Prince."

"Aryan you see, none of this things that we have now will last forever," Vermil explained. "Simon has a big farm of rice, I have gone there three times before you were born, and it would be enough to sustain us."

"Sustain us?" Aryan asked in a small voice, he was still confused by everything, but he hoped his mother would stop hesitating and get to the point. "Are we leaving the palace?"
