Ethan's Early Morning Visit

[Luna, there seems to be someone asking about finding the past of a person. Do you know who is that person, they are searching for?] A message popped out in the chat box. Seeing the message, Zara calmly chatted back.

[Is it me?] [It's similar to that. But not you. They are asking about finding the past of your family. I think it's some of your family's business enemies. I think they are mainly checking about the past of Olivia Adam.]

Zara raised her eyebrows seeing the message. [Did you find out who that person was?]

[Don't you know who I am? How can I not find out who asked for you? That person is called Alfred. But he is just an assistant. He works for someone called Jarvis Hatt. Do you want me to find more information about him?].

[Find him who he is? And what is the purpose behind it? I also want to know fully about him.] [Okay, then. The information will be sent to you before tomorrow morning. Do you still remember about the auction?]

[Yeah, I do.] [And remember, it's on Sunday and that is two days after.] [I know that. Are you back in Elbonia?] [I'll be back tomorrow. And don't let my return be known.]

Seeing the message Zara's lip curled up as she shook her helplessly. [Ok.] [Ok, then see you on Sunday. I'll text you the meeting place.] [Done.]

....

The following morning, precisely at eight o'clock, Ethan arrived at the Mayledge Mansion. Butler Mark approached him with the utmost respect and greeted, "Good morning, Mr. Ethan. Please have a seat. I will inform Sir and Madam of your arrival."

Ethan acknowledged Butler Mark's gesture with a nod and settled himself on the couch, while David stood behind him. Moments later, Ava emerged from the kitchen, carrying a tray adorned with freshly brewed coffee and a selection of muffins.

Ava delicately placed the tray on the tea table in front of Ethan and positioned the coffee cup within his reach. Ethan glanced at Ava and inquired in a composed manner, "Has Zara woken up?"

Ava, with her head slightly inclined, responded, "Yes, Mr. Ethan. The eldest Miss is already awake and she must be in her room."

As Ethan glanced at the staircase, he contemplated that it might take a while for everyone to come down. He nodded at Ava, who then returned to the kitchen to prepare for breakfast.

After a while, Butler Mark descended the stairs and informed, "Mr. Ethan, Sir and Madam have requested you to wait for a little longer. They will be down shortly."

Ethan nodded and calmly settled on the couch, savoring his coffee.

Before long, Zara descended the stairs, donning a light blue pair of jeans paired with an oversized grey sweater.

Ethan's attention was drawn by a gentle sound, causing him to glance up towards the staircase. There, he beheld the girl descending with an air of tranquility.

Her almond-shaped eyes, radiating both a chilling aura and a hint of warmth, captivated him instantly.

Her effortless appearance, coupled with her impassive gaze that seemed distant and unapproachable, hinted at a profound level of contemplation and introspection.

As Ethan observed her relaxed attire and serene countenance, a surge of emotions flooded his being.

It was as if he had been revitalized after years of longing, for the sight of her face stirred a profound warmth within his heart, a sensation he had sorely missed for an eternity.

Zara sensed someone's gaze upon her, prompting her to raise her head and discover Ethan's unwavering stare fixed upon her.

Unfazed by his expression, Ethan rose to his feet as Zara approached the living room. Although his face remained stoic, his eyes emitted an unexpected warmth and tenderness.

Locking eyes with Zara, Ethan greeted her with a simple "Good morning, Zara." In response, Zara maintained her composure and replied with a polite "Good morning."

Seated on opposite couches, Zara occupied herself with her phone, completely absorbed in sending messages. Meanwhile, Ethan maintained his unwavering gaze, closely observing her face.

Ava emerged from the kitchen, carrying a tray with a small bowl of yogurt. As she approached, she gently placed the bowl in front of Zara. "Thank you, Ava," Zara expressed, offering a faint smile.

Ethan's attention shifted to the yogurt, as he carefully noted the flavor by observing the tiny fruit particles and its vibrant color. He yearned to uncover all the details about Zara that had eluded him throughout the years.

Zara noticed his intense gaze and raised an eyebrow, asking, "What's with the constant staring?"

Ethan simply grinned and said, "What do you think?" Zara couldn't help but think that he must have lost his mind over the years, and she didn't say anything further.

As the clock struck half past eight, Andrew and Kylie descended the stairs and caught sight of Ethan fixated on Zara, who was engrossed in her yogurt.

Approaching them, Kylie glanced at the bowl and then at Zara with a helpless expression. She voiced her concern, saying, "Lia, I've told you countless times not to eat plain yogurt. Add some fruits to avoid acidity."

Zara rose to her feet and placed the bowl down upon hearing the voice. "Mom, it's for those with stomach issues, and I'm perfectly fine," she reassured calmly.

Kylie observed Zara's expression and let out a sigh. "Even so, you shouldn't take any chances."

Turning her attention to Ava, Kylie instructed, "Ava, don't give Lia plain yogurts. If she wants some, add some fruits to it." "Got it, Madam."

Kylie then directed her smile towards Ethan and remarked, "You're early, Ethan." "Good morning Aunt Kylie, Uncle Andrew." "Good morning."

Despite the rumors circulating about Ethan being cold-hearted, cruel, and brutal, Kylie was pleasantly surprised by his character when she witnessed his unwavering care and concern for her daughter over the years.

In addition to his impressive appearance, wealth, and ability to protect her daughter even in perilous situations, Ethan proved himself to be unparalleled in every way.

If Lia were to marry him, she could rest assured knowing that her daughter's safety would never be a concern in the future. Furthermore, her life would undoubtedly be filled with happiness alongside Ethan and his family.

Kylie glanced at Ethan and extended an invitation, "Why don't you join us for breakfast, Ethan? Afterwards, you can bring Zara along to visit your grandparents."

Maintaining his composure, Ethan replied, "Certainly, Aunt."

Observing the scene from behind Ethan, David couldn't help but ponder. It seemed that his boss had arrived early specifically to enjoy breakfast with Ms. Zara, even foregoing the meals offered at the grand estate.

A sigh escaped David's lips as he observed his boss, who appeared to have undergone a complete transformation since falling in love.

On weekdays, Olivia attended school, so she left early in the morning to complete some tasks. Consequently, Gia took the opportunity to tidy up the room after Olivia's departure and then proceeded downstairs, where she discovered the rest of the family enjoying their breakfast.

Hendry and Jack had returned the previous day for work-related matters, unaware that an intruder had already infiltrated their home and abducted their sister.
