Makeshift dinner

Hye-Jin paced back and forth in Ji-Won's living room, her phone pressed to her ear as she waited for Eun-Ji to pick up. After a few rings, Eun-Ji's voice finally came through the line.

"Hey, Hye-Jin! What's up?" Eun-Ji greeted cheerfully.

"Eun-Ji," Hye-Jin started, trying to keep her tone light despite her growing impatience. "Where are you? You said you'd bring my clothes over, and I'm still waiting."

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Eun-Ji responded, her voice sheepish yet convincingly casual. "Oh, Hye-Jin, I'm so sorry! I got caught up with something at home, and then there was traffic."

Hye-Jin pouted her lips in disbelief, her eyes widening as she listened to Eun-Ji's explanation.

"Traffic? So, what am I supposed to wear tonight? Ji-Won's shirt?" Hye-Jin exclaimed, her voice laced with genuine surprise and frustration. She couldn't believe that Eun-Ji wasn't going to bring her clothes over as promised.
