Monica sat back in her seat. For a moment, she thought the manicurist might be making fun of her bold choice, but she felt so relaxed, she didn't care. She had just about forgotten that she was supposed to be keeping an eye on her sister.

"Molly," Monica said suddenly, sitting forward in her chair.

The owl let out an angry breath.

"Sorry," Monica said. "I just…My My sister is out there all alone, and I want to make sure she's all right."

Monica leaned forward and scanned the food court. Molly was sitting alone, just where she had been told to sit.

"Found her," she said.

The owl reached out and pushed Monica's shoulders a bit so she'd sit back in her seat. Monica giggled, slightly embarrassed.

"How old is she," the owl said, gentler. "About eleven?"

"Nine or Ten, but looks about ten or eleven," Monica said.

"Oh," the owl said. "She's just a little girl. What kind of trouble could she possibly get into in forty-five minutes?"
