First Sight

"Go away, don't think you can stay here for free!" shouted the owner of the rental house while slamming the door.

The landlord was forced to evict 20-year-old Rika Wulandari, a student at a private university in Bandung, from the boarding house because she had not paid the rent for three months.

Rika's father, who lives in Garut, had been laid off and could no longer send money for his daughter's needs. Of course, Rika did not intend to be malicious, but this condition burdened her.

Not only did she slam the door, but she also threw the duffel bag containing all of Rika's clothes onto the street.

Even though the night was getting late and the rain was falling quite heavily, Rika, who was knocked down, immediately got up and was forced to leave the boarding house that had been her shelter for almost two years.

Rika, who needed to figure out where to go, walked aimlessly until she arrived at a minimarket on Dipati Ukur, Bandung.

Because her legs were tired, Rika decided to take shelter for a while until the rain stopped.

Rika then stroked her hungry stomach. She hadn't eaten a single grain of rice since noon, but she needed more and didn't have money to buy a loaf of bread. So she just sat on a chair in the courtyard of the minimarket.

He was soaked to the skin, and not a single thread on his body had escaped the night's rain.

It had been a very hard day for her; in her head, she no longer knew how to get through her life, which was getting harder and harder.

When Rika was pensive and confused about where to go home, a young man named Ramon approached her.

The young man looked very handsome with a blue shirt and cloth trousers that made him look rich.

Ramon Wirawan is an unemployed young man, 32 years old, who happened to be buying a glass of tea at the minimarket; he is the son of Jaya Wirawan, who is a well-known businessman in Bandung.

Currently, Ramon needs clarification about finding a wife to marry as soon as possible; of course, Rika's innocent appearance is very attractive to him to get acquainted immediately.

"Wow, there's a girl here," whispered Ramon as he approached Rika.

Rika, who was innocent and believed in true love at first sight, was not frightened to see this young man approaching her. Instead, she smiled sweetly and continued to look at Ramon.

Seeing Rika's smile, Ramon was convinced that Rika was easily tricked. Ramon then handed her the hot tea he had bought earlier and began to ask her out.

"Hey, just drink the tea, what a coincidence that we can meet here," Ramon seduced Rika, making her even more convinced that he was her true love.

Indeed, Ramon's parents had threatened him that if he didn't get married soon, Ramon's name would soon be removed from the list of recipients of his father's inheritance, which was very famous for being rich in Bandung.

"Where do you live? Why are you soaking wet?" asked Ramon as he sat beside Rika.

Rika then told him she had been evicted from her boarding room tonight because she had been in arrears for three months.

"Then come with me. We really are destined to meet tonight! Come on," said Ramon as he carried Rika's backpack to his car.

Rika excitedly accepted Ramon's invitation, and they rushed to Ramon's car, which was parked in the mini market.

Ramon then put Rika's backpack into the trunk of his luxury sedan and opened the door for her.

The two of them then drove to Ramon's luxury home located in the elite Dago area of Bandung.

Upon arriving at Ramon's house, which looked luxurious and spacious, Rika was even more amazed. Her fantasies of true love soared even higher.

"Come in, you are the future owner of this house!" Ramon whispered as Rika stepped into the living room.

"Miss, what was your name earlier?"

"Rika,"

"Yes, Rika. You should know I'm so happy to finally meet you."

Rika just blushed at Ramon's advances.

Ramon then said that they should get married to immortalize their beautiful relationship.

"Huh, get married," said Rika in shock.

"Yes, get married. True love must be bound in holy matrimony, darling," Ramon's seduction became even more intense.

Rika was even more excited to hear it; her fantasy of first love was truly realized. Indeed, the girl did not have the slightest bad thought about the unemployed young man in front of her.

"Waiter!" Ramon called Sopiah his servant.

"Yes, Sir," replied Sopiah as she hurried over to Ramon.

"Take my future wife to her room. Don't forget to prepare warm water for her bath. She was caught in the rain!"

"Yes, sir, follow me to my future mistress," Sopiah then walked Rika to the room Ramon had requested.

Rika hurriedly followed Sopiah's footsteps to a spacious and luxurious room in the corner of the house.

The room was almost four times the size of her boarding room, with a bed and a chandelier that made the room even more luxurious.

Sopiah turned on the warm water in the huge bathtub.

After the water was full, Sopiah invited Rika to bathe and hung a kimono towel behind the bathroom door.

After Sopiah closed the door, Rika immediately took off all her clothes and submerged her body in the bathtub.

The warm, refreshing water took away all her sadness tonight and replaced it with fantasies of a beautiful wedding with the lazy Ramon, who had some kind of evil plan in his head.

After almost ten minutes of soaking and her body refreshed, Rika remembered to break the news of her wedding plans with Ramon to her parents in Garut.

She hurriedly put on a kimono towel and sat beside the bed; through a Wa message, Rika then told her parents.

['Mom! There is a man who will ask me to marry him,'] Rika said in her text message.

She waited a long time for a reply.

['No, dear! Don't be rash, get to know the family first. We're afraid it's a trap!'] Rika's parents replied in their text message.

"They're right," said Rika, realizing what her parents had said was true.

Rika then hurriedly put on her wet clothes again and picked up the backpack she hadn't opened yet.

She then rushed to the house door to escape Ramon's trap.

Ramon, who didn't want his prey to leave so easily, intercepted Rika.

"Hey, where are you going?" Ramon exclaimed as he pulled Rika's hand.

"I'm sorry, something must be wrong,"

"Don't be like that, I love you, believe me," said Ramon as he knelt to ask Rika to stay in the house.

"No, it must be wrong," cried Rika as she opened the door and hurried away.

"Rika, wait a minute," Ramon continued to block Rika's path.
