Ramon Needs Rika

"Rika, wait, listen to me first," exclaimed Ramon, who continued to convince his future wife that what her parents were saying was only because they hadn't met her yet.

"But I don't know you yet, do I? How can we get married?" Rika was increasingly unsure of Ramon.

"We need time, so stay here until you are sure enough of me," Ramon pleaded repeatedly.

Rika was silent and didn't know what to do now.

"Anyway, if you want to go, wait until tomorrow. How could I bear to see you leave when it's still raining and your whole body is wet," Ramon pleaded, finally melting Rika's heart.

"Forgive me for believing my parents that you were evil," Rika looked down in shame.

Ramon took a deep breath and pulled Rika's hand back into the house.

Sophia, who knew about her master's plan, joined the conversation and assured Rika that Ramon was a good person, unlike what she thought. Sophia also said that Ramon couldn't touch her before the marriage between her and Ramon.

Ramon's servant's words convinced Rika even more that she had misjudged Ramon's attitude towards her.

Ramon then hugged Rika tightly and again asked the innocent girl to speed up their marriage plans so that the incident that made her change her mind like this would not happen again.

Rika smiled and nodded in agreement; She finally agreed to return to her room because it was getting late.

Once in her room that Ramon had prepared, Sopiah, Ramon's servant, gave Rika a change of clothes for Rika, who looked soaked.

"Change your clothes, Miss, you'll catch a cold," Sopiah pleaded very gently as she handed her the clothes of Nanda, Ramon's younger sister, who happened to live in the same house as Ramon.

"Thank you, Sopiah. I'm sorry for misjudging you all. You're all good people," Rika said as she closed the door to her room to get changed.

Rika hurriedly changed her wet clothes with Nanda's and got ready for bed.

Throughout the night, the poor girl could only sleep with a hungry stomach. She wanted to rush to Ramon to ask for food, but somehow, her embarrassment made her choose to sleep instead.

In the living room.

Sopiah rushed to the living room, where Ramon was frightened while looking at the backyard.

"Ah, she almost got away, Sir," Sopiah whispered, hoping Rika wouldn't hear her conversation with Ramon.

"Yes, I really believe that girl is very unstable. I'll have to marry her soon, or my name will be crossed off my stingy father's inheritance list," Said Ramon, who was still upset.

"Right, sir. Don't let us get kicked out of this house. We can trick that girl," Sopiah said sarcastically.

Ramon could only ruffle his curly hair and continue to think about how to make his marriage to Rika happen as soon as possible, if not tomorrow morning.

Ramon, who didn't know how to escape the problem, finally chose to go to bed.

"Never mind, I'm going to sleep first. Tomorrow we'll think about how to speed up my wedding and remember tomorrow morning before she wakes up prepare breakfast for her. Keep an eye on her so she doesn't run away. UNDERSTAND!" Ramon ordered Sopiah as he hurried to his room.

"Yes, sir," replied Sopiah with a smile.

**

The next morning.

Rika had yet to wake up when Sopiah prepared breakfast and brought it to her room.

A plate of fried rice, with a sunny-side-up egg and a glass of milk, was arranged on a tray and placed on a table not far from her bed.

When she woke up, Rika was very happy to see that her breakfast was available because she had been hungry the previous day and immediately ate all the food.

There needed to be more than a plate of fried rice and sunny side-up eggs for Rika because she was still hungry. She then left the room and sneaked into the kitchen, which was located not far from her room.

"Miss," Greeted Sopiah, who was watching her.

"Ma-sorry, I'm still hungry. Is there any more rice for me?" she asked, showing the empty plate she was carrying.

Sopiah then escorted her to the kitchen and brought her another portion of fried rice, adding an egg on top and letting her eat with gusto on a kitchen chair.

Sophia, who saw Rika eating so greedily, just shook her head and smiled sarcastically.

"Waiter," came Ramon's shout from the living room.

"Yes, sir," replied Sopiah as she hurried over to Ramon.

Ramon, who thought she had run away, asked his servant for her whereabouts, and Sopiah told his master that she was in the kitchen eating like a person who hadn't eaten in three days.

Relieved by Sopiah's words, Ramon rushed to the kitchen and caught up with Rika.

"Rika, Oh please. Don't make me worry like this," pleaded Ramon, who gently hugged his future wife.

Rika then explained to Ramon that she was hungry, and Sopiah was kind enough to give her some extra fried rice.

Ramon then smiled and took Rika to his back garden so he could have a more intimate conversation with her.

Ramon opened the glass door that led to the garden. Many colorful flowers were blooming there, and Ramon's mother had deliberately planted them to make the place look more beautiful. Rika seemed very happy to be there.

Sopiah then approached them and served a cup of hot tea and snacks in a jar so Ramon and Rika could chat casually. Sopiah poured the tea into a fancy cup so Ramon could drink it immediately.

"What flowers do you like?" Ramon asked.

"I like chrysanthemums like the ones in that pot the best," said Rika, pointing to a pot of chrysanthemums.

Ramon then stepped over to the pot of white chrysanthemums and picked a flower for his innocent bride-to-be.

"This is for you, beautiful as you are!"

Ramon's flirting seemed to make Rika even more excited; she forgot about her parents' request to be careful with the new Ramon she met, and all she could think about was a beautiful wedding that would be the final embrace of her first and last love.

As the doorbell rang, Sopiah rushed to open the door.

"Where's Ramon!" shouted a woman who forced her way in.
