Officially Married

"Rika, where are you?" Ramon shouted louder and louder, making Nanda and Sopiah very worried.

Nanda then approached Ramon, who still looked confused in Rika's room.

"She's missing again?" asked Nanda when she saw Ramon's face, still very confused.

"AAAH! Where is he?" shouted Ramon, getting more and more upset.

Hearing Ramon shouting so loudly, Rika, who was drying her clothes in the backyard of Ramon's house, walked over.

"What's wrong, Ramon?" asked Rika with an innocent face.

"Oh, Rika. You almost drove me crazy. Where have you been?"

"I've been drying my wet clothes in the backyard."

Ramon sighed long and thought he would go crazy if he didn't marry this girl soon.

Sometimes, Rika seemed so submissive, but sometimes, she could also get angry in a very scary way. Sometimes, she would stay in her room for hours, and sometimes, she would disappear without a word.

"I told you to, Sopiah!" said Ramon, trying to dispel all his worries.

Seeing Ramon so angry, Rika became frightened. She looked down and tried not to look at Ramon.

Knowing that her attitude made Rika look scared, Nanda nudged her sister's shoulder while whispering.

"Don't be so fierce!"

As happened yesterday, Nanda gave Ramon the code to lower his tone, considering that Rika could get angry and then ask him to go home.

Realizing that his words frightened Rika, Ramon apologized gently and invited Rika to the dining room because their food was ready.

Hearing Ramon say eat, Rika smiled again. She was already very hungry and couldn't wait to eat. Rika followed Ramon, who was already walking towards the dining room to eat lunch.

They walked together, and just as they were about to arrive at the dining room, Nanda got a message from her friend at the Civil Registry about Ramon's wedding preparations, which were just waiting for the signature of the bride-to-be.

A very happy Nanda then told Ramon.

"Ramon, all that's left is the signature!" said Nanda as they arrived at the dining room.

Ramon, who understood what his sister meant, immediately developed a smile, while Rika, who was soon to become Ramon's wife, just smiled uncomprehendingly.

"When can I go there?" Ramon asked Nanda again.

"This afternoon!" Nanda replied briefly.

"Well this afternoon, that's good. That means I can master Rika faster!" Ramon whispered to Nanda.

While enjoying his lunch, Ramon began to tell his future wife about their expedited wedding plans that would take place this very afternoon.

"Rika, I think it would be great if we got married this very afternoon!" said Ramon, to Rika's disbelief.

Her fantasy of a dream wedding came back to her, married to the wealthy Ramon.

Well, all that was in Rika's mind was false happiness.

Rika nodded and agreed.

"But shall we eat first?" said Rika, who looked hungry.

Ramon replied with a smile and started their lunch today.

After lunch, Nanda dressed Rika with some makeup so Rika didn't realize she was being tricked. They had to prepare this wedding well, right?

The bride and groom appeared ready to go to the procession to sign the marriage certificate. Arriving at the Civil Registry Office, Ramon immediately asked to be legalized as husband and wife.

Rika, who was not the least bit suspicious of Ramon's moves, just complied, and a few moments later, they were legalized as husband and wife.

"You are officially married according to the registry," said the registrar as he congratulated the bride and groom.

Ramon could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Of course, after Rika's recent run-ins, he had been worried about the success of the marriage, but now they were officially married, and all that was left was for him to ask for a copy of the new marriage certificate to show to his parents.

"Here's your copy of the marriage certificate, once again congratulations," The registrar handed Ramon a copy.

"Okay, now that Rika and I are officially married, it's time for us to meet my parents," Ramon exclaimed happily.

Rika followed Ramon and Nanda to the car, the poor girl still thinking that this marriage was the marriage of her dreams; even Nanda, who had been throwing a cynical smile, did not make her the least bit suspicious.

Ramon's parents' house was not far from Ramon's residence; the outer house, which had a yard enough to park about twenty cars, looked beautiful, and the plants were arranged so beautifully from the entrance gate to the house entrance.

Rika was so mesmerized that she innocently introduced Ramon to her parents.

"Where did you meet?" asked Anita, Ramon's mother.

"I..."

"Ah, we met in Bandung, Ma! She's a university student," cut in Ramon, who didn't want his mom to know Rika's origins.

"Then your parents know that you're getting married today?" asked Ramon's mother, starting to get suspicious of her son's behavior.

Rika was silent and speechless; she remembered her parents' message about Ramon, who was still new to her, but when her bad thoughts returned, Nanda and Ramon reassured her that they were good people and could not hurt Rika.

Ramon's mother became increasingly suspicious whenever she asked Rika if Ramon or Nanda answered her questions. Not once did Ramon allow Rika to answer.

"Well, if you're married, I'll give you both honeymoon tickets to Bali! Congratulations," said Ramon's mom as she left for her room.

"Okay, well done," Ramon whispered to Nanda.

Rika was still silent; she felt guilty for not telling her parents in Garut about the wedding. Nanda came over and asked what else was troubling Rika.

"Could you, Ramon, meet my parents. At least tell them about the wedding," She pleaded with a very regretful face.

Ramon then promised to meet Rika's parents in Garut, but only after they went on the honeymoon that her mother had gifted her.

Rika nodded in agreement and hugged Ramon, now her husband.

"Uh, who is that picture of Ramon with?" asked Rika, who was still in Ramon's arms when she saw a picture of Ramon standing with another woman.

"That's a picture of Ramon with his ex-wife, did Ramon not tell you that he was married?" said Papa Ramon, who was still sitting in the chair right in front of Ramon.

"Huh, why didn't you tell me that you have an ex-wife?" asked Rika with a very angry face.
