Nanda's Tombstone

Kriing!

Ramon's cell phone rang, and Ramon rushed to pick it up.

[Ramon, Nanda is poisoned!]

[What?] Ramon squealed in disbelief.

"What's wrong?" Asked Mom, who saw Ramon in shock.

Ramon then told me that Mr. Eko from the police had just informed him that Nanda had been poisoned and was currently being rushed to the nearest hospital.

Of course, this news shocked Mom, who had just learned of Nanda's evil intentions.

"What is this!" Mom said while trying to sit on a chair not far from where she was sitting.

Rika, who heard her husband's shout, walked over to Ramon and asked him what had happened.

After learning the news that Nanda was poisoned, Rika then asked her husband to hurry to the hospital, informed by the police.

Ramon then hurried away and asked Rika to look after her mother, who looked unwell.

"Go, I'll take care, Mom!" Rika tried to convince Ramon.

Ramon rushed off to see how Nanda was doing, and when he arrived at the hospital, his sister was seen being treated intensively by the doctor.

Nanda's face was ashen, with an IV needle stuck in her left hand. She still couldn't speak much, but the doctor confirmed that Nanda was still in good condition.

Ramon then contacted Rika to tell her about his sister's condition; Ramon then asked Rika not to tell her father first because he was worried that her father would be very sad about this incident.

Rika nodded and then told Mrs. Anita, who had not moved from the kitchen.

"How is the condition, Nanda?" Mom asked when she saw Rika hang up the phone from Ramon.

"Ramon is at the hospital and Nanda is doing well, Mom!" Rika explained, trying to calm her mother down.

Mom smiled at Rika.

"Thank goodness, whatever happens, we should be grateful."

"Yes, Mother. Soon Nanda will wake up!" Rika whispered while holding her mother-in-law's hand.

Having just been relieved by Nanda's condition, Ramon contacted Rika again with a different tone.

[Rika, Nanda, dead!] Ramon said while holding back tears.

Rika couldn't believe what Ramon was saying; she repeated Ramon's statement, which made Mom very sad.

Mom then burst into tears as Ramon repeated what he had just said.

"Nanda, oh my God!" Mom shouted hysterically.

Jaya, who heard Mrs. Anita's screams in the kitchen, then approached; he didn't know what had happened until Rika whisperingly told her father-in-law about Nanda's condition in the hospital.

"Oh my God. Earlier she was still here, she was still healthy. Why are you now saying, my daughter, is gone?" Jaya still couldn't believe the sad news.

Rika then asked Ramon to immediately inform her of Nanda's latest condition because her parents were distraught.

***

In the afternoon.

Nanda was sent home in a coffin, according to the team of doctors handling her. Nanda's body was decomposing rapidly, and they were worried that her body would cause a dangerous stench to anyone who smelled it.

Ramon accompanied Nanda's coffin home and asked her mother and father to prepare a funeral for her today.

Mom, who understood Ramon's intention, immediately contacted the cemetery to prepare for Nanda's burial.

Jaya was speechless as he looked at Nanda's body lying in a white coffin placed in the living room of his mansion; he still couldn't believe that his daughter was now lying stiff.

"Alright, the cemetery is preparing the grave for Nanda. Once it's ready we'll bury Nanda today according to the doctor's advice!" Mrs. Anita explained so Dad wouldn't keep looking sadly at Nanda's coffin.

Jaya took a deep breath and smiled again. He seemed to have given up on his daughter Nanda so that she could rest in peace.

"Dad, eat these cookies. I haven't eaten since this afternoon!" Rika said as she handed her father-in-law a plate filled with his favorite cookies.

His father-in-law then smiled; he felt that Rika's presence was indeed to replace the position of Nanda, who had passed away.

Jaya's hand then took one of the cakes offered by Rika and started eating it.

"Son, thank you for accompanying us. I don't know what would have happened if you weren't in my magnificent but lifeless house!" Jaya whispered as he wiped away the tears slowly falling down his cheeks.

Rika wiped the tears away with both hands and asked her father-in-law to be steadfast in facing all this.

"I used to spoil my children too much, so now I'm the one who has to endure this endless suffering. Haah, I hope this is the last problem in this house!" Jaya hoped as he shifted his wheelchair and moved towards Mrs. Anita's seat.

Rika understood that Nanda's departure was devastating for her mother-in-law, but the rice had already been cooked; perhaps this was the best way for the family to stop the problems Nanda kept causing.

"Rika, have you eaten, son!" Mom asked when she saw Rika. She wasn't as excited as usual.

"I did, Mom!" Rika said as she stepped away from Nanda's coffin.

"Mom, the funeral is ready. Let's go now!" Said Ramon, who had gotten the news from the funeral party.

Mom complied. She then walked after some people who had gotten out of the ambulance and started carrying Nanda's coffin.

The coffin was then put into the ambulance, and soon, they were on their way to Nanda's final resting place.

During the trip, Anita and Jaya could only be silent and look at each other; it was true what people said: preparing the grave for their child was the most painful thing for every parent.

"Strong, Mom!" Ramon whispered as they arrived at the burial ground. Mom answered Ramon's whisper with a smile and continued walking until they arrived at Nanda's grave.

Not long after, Nanda was put into the grave and covered with soil around the grave.

"Goodbye, Nanda. I'm sorry I couldn't educate you properly!" Jaya whispered, regretting all the wrong upbringing he had given Nanda.

As the funeral was taking place, from behind a tree not far from Nanda's final resting place, Bram could be seen looking at Ramon with a furious face.

He no longer knew who to use to disrupt Ramon's life and Jaya's honorable and wealthy family in Bandung.

"Why, Nanda. Why did you have to leave so soon!" Bram whispered while holding back his anger.
