Tom was frustrated after seeing what had happened. These men were acting against Tom's principles. Tom would have killed anyone who disrespected him. He didn't get involved in dirty things like these guys. He wouldn't defend what he used to do, but his old ways were better than these guys.
Tom wanted to destroy everything, but he knew that even if he destroyed the whole town, he wouldn't be able to relieve the stress. Tom wanted to call the men, but it was getting dark. He didn't want to leave the little girl alone at home. Her father had abandoned her.
Her grandfather was dead. Her mother's condition was unknown. Tom knew the little girl was in a difficult situation and he wanted to help her. There was no place to leave the girl. Tom bought some food and went out of the house. When he unlocked the door and went inside, he found her sleeping on the couch in front of the television. After making sure she was not cold, Tom prepared dinner.
The little girl was still sleeping. After setting the table, Tom went to wake the little girl.
"Little friend, you need to wake up."
The little girl tossed and turned. Her blonde hair fell in her face. The heat from the wood burning in the fireplace warmed her and her voice soothed her. Nora slowly opened her eyes and gave Tom a beautiful smile, but it faded as she remembered her mother's absence.
When Tom saw her reaction, he knew something was wrong. "Is something wrong?" Nora looked at Tom with tears in her eyes. "I miss my mum. I miss my grandpa." Tom didn't know what to say. "They wouldn't be happy to see you crying right now, Nora. You need to be strong for them." Tom wanted to comfort her, even though he didn't believe what she was saying. He found it a bit childish that she was crying for those reasons. He had never cried himself.
Nora wiped away her tears and smiled. "You're right, my mum gets very upset when I cry." Tom smiled when he heard what she said. "Come on, get up and eat something." Nora walked over to the dining table and climbed into a chair. Tom started to laugh when he saw her struggling to sit in the chair. Nora was angry when she saw Tom laughing at her.
Tom stopped laughing when he realised that Nora was angry. Nora looked at the food on the table. There was a grilled steak and broccoli on the table. Nora was upset when she saw the broccoli, but smiled when she saw the steak. Her face fell when she saw Tom put the broccoli on her plate. Nora thought that Tom wouldn't give her the steak, but she couldn't say anything because she had no connection with Tom.
She could imagine that she would have been in a difficult situation if Tom hadn't helped her. Nora ate quietly. Tom put a steak on Nora's plate after she had finished her plate of broccoli. Nora's eyes lit up. Nora had misunderstood Tom.
Tom didn't know what the little girl should eat, so he asked an old woman in the supermarket. The woman thought Tom was strange, but she helped him. Tom had prepared a meal for the girl so that she would have a balanced diet. When the meal was over, Nora washed her hands and brushed her chips with the toothbrush Tom had bought her.
She usually forgot to brush her teeth, but when her mother was away she did everything her mother had told her to do. Tom bought Nora some clothes. Nora wore the clothes he bought her, even though she didn't like them. Tom put the little girl in her own bed, locked the doors of the house and drove to a motorway. He arrived a little late because he had to look after Nora. There was a gang on the road. They were throwing eggs at cars, and when the cars stopped to clean their windscreens, they were robbed.
If the driver turned on the windscreen wipers, the egg would smear even more on the windscreen, making it harder to see. The reason Tom came to this gang was because the man this gang was connected to was the man who kidnapped Nora's mother. Tom went to the woods where the gang were hiding. He wanted to test his newfound magic today. When he got to the gang, there were crates and crates of eggs at the base of a tree and lots of armed men talking.
One of them shouted when he saw Tom. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" Tom didn't bother to answer, he looked into each of their minds. After examining them all, he got the answers he wanted. The men pointed their guns at Tom, trying to scare him. Tom waved his wand and, as before, dark energy and smoke began to billow out. The gang members panicked and started shooting.
The bullets that came towards Tom disappeared when they hit the dark smoke. They tried to run away as the smoke went towards the men, but they all died there. Tom's body was strong again. He had absorbed the life energy of those men. Tom materialised near the building he had seen in the men's memory. He was standing in front of a 6-storey building, known to belong to a businessman whose identity had been used for money laundering.
There were a few guards and sentries at the entrance. Tom used a recently developed spell called 'Shadowmeld Surge' to avoid being caught on camera. Its main purpose is defence against attack, but it can also be used for stealth. Shadowmeld Surge instantly transforms the user's body into a shadow, negating enemy attacks.
If the user is attacked, they will quickly merge with the shadows and nullify the attack. Tom turned into a shadow, slipped away from the men and went to the boss's room. Arriving at the room on the 4th floor, Tom went under the door in Shadow form. There were no security cameras inside, so he could change back to his normal form.
There were 9 people inside, including the 5 men who had come to the house that day. After casting an illusion spell, Tom emerged from his shadow form. After examining their minds one by one, he learned that Nora's mother was dead.
The men were involved in organ trafficking. It was then that Tom realised why the gang leader wanted Nora so badly. When Tom lifted the illusion spell, some of the men in the room were surprised, others picked up their weapons.
When Tom waved his wand, they all stopped. At first Tom thought about saying something, but then he decided it wasn't worth it for these people. Tom whispered a spell as he pointed his wand at the men. It was the first time in a long time that Tom had spoken a spell out loud. Each of the men writhed on the floor.
Their screams could be heard everywhere, but Tom had placed a soundproof curse on the room so that no one could hear them. After the men had suffered for a long time, Tom materialised outside the building and pointed his staff at it. The building began to shake and within seconds it collapsed. Satisfied that no one was alive inside, Tom left and materialised inside the house.
