Josephine would have been more excited about Lucia and Michael being on the news if she weren't stressing about what to do with Adela. She hated that her husband continued to ignore her. Breakfast had been another stiff chore, where her two older children had taken one look at her and Dominique and decided that they were not hungry.

Lucia was having another late start to her day. Josephine hoped she wouldn't make a habit of it. Her transition to being queen would be harder if she had more bad habits to unlearn on top of new ones to acquire. She was about to say something to the housekeeper about calling Lucia down when she heard her youngest daughter's footsteps coming down the stairs. She poured herself another cup of coffee. She needed it, having had a sleepless night.
