Chapter 39. MacKenzie's Family Dinner

Today isn't the first time for Isabelle to meet Rayleigh's parents, but it's the first time she's meeting the two of them together in their house. Her tension is higher than she anticipated.

Rayleigh's father, Anthony, is actually a kind and fun man. He's not quick to judge someone, and he is very wise. In the one and a half years Isabelle has been with Rayleigh, they've met a few times, enjoying coffee together. He always asks her about her life as a stewardess while jotting down some notes after that. When Isabelle asks him why he takes notes, he simply says, "I'm going to have a business with an airline in the health department; it sounded interesting."

"Oh," Isabelle responds, intrigued.

"You know, you guys, pilots and stewardesses, have so many health risks while you're working up there?" He mentions this to Isabelle, which is how she discovers the similarities between Rayleigh and her father.
