"He does not recognize you, Sarah," the goddess whispered, seated on a white mahogany chair far from where Sarah's lifeless body lay. She felt her spirit awakening; it was the ways of the goddess. When a goddess is gone, their spirit awakens, and it is either it found peace at last in the heavenly realm, or found a body to reincarnate.
Sarah stirred, her eyes blinking until they got used to the blinding light. Her spirit body sat up, even more ethereal than before. Her body glinted with the light, all white — making it hard to distinguish her white dress from her skin and hair.
Sarah's eyes stung with tears. She had tried to control them, but they kept pouring down her face. She sat at the end of the table, away from her body. She did not meet her mother's gaze, but she was well aware of The Moon Goddess's eyes fixated on her.
