85 The Entrance to the Wolf’s Den

Emilia’s POV

“Are you scared?” Cecilia’s voice broke the silence as she turned to look at me from across the car.

“Maybe just a little,” I replied, watching the sunset from the window as I uttered my first words of the day.

Before dawn, the convoy had already set out to escort me to the Wolf’s Den. To my surprise, Princess Cecilia was part of this escort. Although I was taken aback, I had no authority to question her presence. Moreover, the lingering pain from my birthmark had left me uneasy and distracted.

So, we maintained our silence. Cecilia’s blue eyes remained fixed on the landscape outside. The car moved steadily from sunrise to sunset, and it was only then that Cecilia spoke again.

“You’ve reviewed a lot of material on the Wolf’s Den. Do you have any questions?” The princess continued, and I couldn’t help but sense a hint of sympathy in her gaze.
