90 Where Am I

Emilia’s POV

“Emilia,” Klaus’s grip on my hand tightened significantly. He stared at the wolf-eagle perched on the rock, his voice a harsh whisper. “I’ll find a way to distract it. You run and find a cave to hide in. Wait for me to come and find you.”

“Do you understand?” Klaus’s hand pressed firmly against my waist.

Fearfully, I clutched his collar, unable to speak, only managing to nod. But my heart was filled with doubt. This was a silent, snow-covered valley, and Klaus had no armor, only a dagger. How would he deal with this strange wolf-eagle?

Klaus released his hold on me. The cold wind immediately stole away the warmth of our shared closeness. He stepped in front of me, blocking the wolf-eagle's gaze towards me.

“I’m not new to fighting wolf-eagles,” Klaus said as he moved closer to the wolf-eagle on the rock.
