107 The Feast

Emilia’s POV

On our way back to Klaus's tent, I found myself riding with him again, sharing the same horse. The crystal ball had returned to my hands, and as I gazed into its swirling black dots, my thoughts felt chaotic and unresolved.

Thanks to the help of Carlos, the second prince, I had learned a few things. I now knew this crystal ball belonged to a sorcerer and carried some kind of magic. I also knew that I was stuck in a world from ten years ago. But what I still didn’t know was how to leave.

“The desires of the dead...” I muttered under my breath as I rolled the crystal ball in my hands.

“What are you mumbling about, Emilia?” Klaus's voice came from behind me, clearly annoyed.

“I was wondering if the crystal ball could grant the wishes of the dead. Klaus, have you ever seen a ghost?” I asked, turning slightly to gauge his reaction.
