131 We Need You, Emilia

Emilia’s POV

I had been discovered. That was the only thought running through my mind.

The soldier from the Bear Kingdom, clad in heavy armor, had accidentally shattered a glass pane during the battle. The plants behind it were crushed, and brown soil spread across the ground.

“Hngh—!” I quickly stifled the scream rising in my throat, clamping my hands over my mouth to keep myself quiet, hoping to go unnoticed.

But it didn’t work. Trembling, I opened my eyes to see a figure in brown rushing toward me.

A rough hand clamped around my throat, lifting me off the ground. The air in my lungs grew thin as my feet dangled, my breathing quickened, and my heart pounded painfully against my chest.

“Let… go… of me,” I gasped, desperately trying to pry the soldier’s fingers from my neck, but my strength was no match for his. Before I could react, I was thrown over his shoulder and carried back into the banquet hall.
