The Seperate Ways

---

After joining the new college, Adam was determined to become the greatest scientist and studied real hard.

On the first day of his college, Adam said to himself, "So here it is, the second part of my journey."

He walked out of his house and met Daisy.

Adam greeted her, "Good Ma'am."

Daisy replied, "Good Morning sir."

Adam asked, "Are you ready for college life?"

Daisy replied excitedly, "Yeah, I am really very excited."

Adam smiled, "Yeah, you should be!"

Adam then asked, "How are we gonna reach our college as our school bus doesn't go in that direction?"

Daisy smirked, "Oh, really?"

Adam nodded, "Yes, Ma'am."

Daisy explained, "Don't worry about that, my Dad just hired our friendly neighbor to drop me off at college every day."

Adam joked, "May I have a seat too, Ma'am?"

Daisy playfully pushed him, "Oh, come on...I don't think you want to be late on the very first day! Now go and bring your bike!"

Adam brought out his brand new bike, which he received from his dad as a gift for trying well even at the last moment.

Daisy sat at the back of Adam, and they drove off to their college.

At college, Adam excelled in all the exams and maintained a friendly relationship with Daisy. During the last days of the first quarter of Daisy's college year, she befriended a new classmate, Andrew, the most handsome guy and the second topper of the college.

Adam, although initially had nothing to do with Andrew, felt uncomfortable when he saw Daisy spending more time with Andrew. He tried to avoid being carried away by emotions and focused more on his studies.

A few months later, a special contest was held for a special seat at Imperial College of Einsteins. Adam applied for the seat and earned it with his hard work. He was super excited about this because he was now going to the same college as Rose. Adam informed his dad about this, and his father readily supported him.

Adam didn't have any friends other than Daisy in college, so he messaged her to meet him at the echo garden in the evening, just before the day he was about to leave college and town.

In the evening, Daisy walked into the garden and found it almost empty as usual. She ran her eyes around the garden and found Adam sitting on the swing. She walked to him.

Daisy asked, "Hey Adam, what's up?"

Adam, sounding a bit low, replied, "Well, everything is going good, I think. By the way, did you have any plans for today's evening?"

Daisy replied, "Well, not much, but why?"

Adam said, "I just wanted to spend some time with you."

Daisy, a bit surprised, asked, "Is Everything Alright?"

They sat on the swings, and Adam expressed his gratitude for their friendship, saying, "You made a great impact on my life! You are really an amazing friend."

Daisy, thinking Adam was going to confess his love, interrupted, "That you love me... I am sorry, but Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend, and I accepted. So sorry, I can't."

Adam was taken aback, "Wow, you are... you... ah... I wasn't going to say that."

Daisy, relieved, said, "Oh, what? Really!"

Adam explained, "I just wanted to say that I got a seat at the Imperial College of Einsteins, and I am leaving tomorrow!"

Daisy was surprised, "What? You are lying, right!"

Adam clarified, "Sorry, but as you know, I don't lie."

Daisy, saddened, said, "You can have that here too, and how will I manage without you? You were the most trusted person I know."

Adam assured her, "Don't worry! I am always there to help you out. And now you have Andrew! He is a good man, at least from what I felt."

Daisy, emotional, said, "I don't know what to say?"

Adam replied, "Don't say anything. I just wanted your presence for some moments before I left for those hectic college years... so relax!"

Daisy asked, "So when will you return?"

Adam replied, "After graduation!"

Daisy, still emotional, said, "But why so long? You have breaks and vacations during academic sessions?"

Adam explained, "Yeah, we have, but I don't want to distract myself from studies."

Daisy, tearful, said, "I will miss you."

Adam replied, "Me too."

They watched the sunset in silence before parting ways. After the sun set, both got up and walked home.

Adam asked Daisy about Andrew's proposal, and she shared the funny story. Daisy hugged Adam, feeling sad about his departure, and ran inside her home.

Adam also feeling sad, entered his home and prepared to leave in the morning.
