chapter64 At wit's end

The train tickets were for a soft sleeper. Ignoring Scarlett's urgent looks, Asher leisurely enjoyed his breakfast at the hotel and even watched some TV. Scarlett was so anxious she was practically fuming, but she didn't dare show her anger. She tried to persuade him with kind words repeatedly. Asher, calm and unhurried, seemed to believe that missing the train was fate. With only half an hour left before departure, he finally picked up his luggage and checked out.

When the taxi arrived at the train station, Scarlett pushed the door open and ran towards the station with her ticket in hand while Asher was still paying. As she reached the station entrance, Asher caught up with her, dragging his luggage.

"Why are you running?" he asked.

"The train is about to leave, hurry..." Scarlett said anxiously, clutching her ticket.
