chapter63 left the island

Three days later in the morning, the boat arrived at the island. Before leaving, Scarlett returned to the old villa, feeling a bit nostalgic as she looked at the scattered fragments. She had experienced both helplessness and joy here. The lounge chair in the backyard was still there, and although the garden's roses were battered, some red flowers still bloomed proudly. Scarlett had little to take with her; she found a shell that Asher had once retrieved from the sea and placed it with her pink diamond necklace. She packed a few clothes into her bag. Asher also preferred to travel light, with just his passport, bank cards, and two sets of clothes.

Scarlett might never return, but she still closed the doors, windows, and turned off the power before leaving. She even considered cleaning the messy villa, but Asher stopped her, fearing she might get hurt by the broken glass and sharp wood pieces.
