(Experiments)(129)

Leaning back in his chair, Keitaro stretched his arms above his head, letting out a very satisfied sigh.

The afternoon sun streamed through the window, casting warm light across the worn pages of his notebook.

He had spent alor of time researching about the curse here along side their mythology because he had a shit tone of free time.

Which was something that he has currently a semi-single man could enjoy.

He said he was semi-single because of Shoko's very lax personality.

There was some stuff he could do like travel around the world to look for more answers and she was relatively fine with it.

Speaking of which, he open his phone and sent her a message just to check up on her.

Also did the same with Satoru because his friend was a man child and he had to make sure he hadn't accidently burned himself.

Which considering his friend personally has a very high chance of actually happening.

Today's research had been fruitful. He'd went deeper into the nature of the mischievous Pixies and the mournful Barghests.

Pixies:

* Description: Tiny humanoids with iridescent wings, often flitting around ancient oak trees.

* Effect: Illusionists – Pixies can weave convincing illusions, leading travelers astray or masking their true forms.

Their laughter, while initially lighthearted, can take on a cruel edge when their pranks cause harm.

* Encounter: Witnessed a group of Pixies leads a lost another tourist in circles around a field for nearly an hour before tiring and flitting away. However, upon closer observation, Keitaro noticed a subtle shift in their laughter when the tourist stumbled and fell.

* Potential Use: Akane (his Kitsune companion) finds them a delightful snack, as consuming cursed spirits strengthens her.

They also seem to buff her illusion skills which meant, he could in theory start a pixie farm.

He could in theory capture about a thousand of them, fatten them up with curse energy, and then feed them to Akane in order to strengthen her skill even further.

Next up in his list was the.

Barghest:

* Description: Large, black hounds with glowing red eyes, said to haunt crossroads and lonely moors.

* Effect: Sonic Booms – The Barghest's mournful howls are not just omens of misfortune; they can manifest as powerful sonic booms, capable of knocking people off their feet or even causing structural damage.

* Encounter: Heard a mournful howl echoing across the moors on a foggy night. Felt a sense of unease, but encountered no immediate misfortune.

Around 30 seconds after he heard the howl, like the very clearly white person that he was he decided to investigate...

Luckily unlike the man character on the horror movies, he was the one the beast was supposed to run away from.

He was the predator around this part.....ok now that sounds kind of sus saying he was a predator.

What did saying that make him sound like one of those people, for Christ sake he didnt touch kids, for some weird reason he felt as if he had to add this part.

As if some weird random entity were reading his life as if it was a book, if that was the case he needed to plead his case and show he didnt mean it that way.

* Potential Use: The Barghest's sonic abilities could hold a key to understanding cursed energy manipulation, but Keitaro needs to learn more about controlling such raw power.

A devilish twinkle flashed in Keitaro's eyes. These English curses were far less grotesque than the ones he'd faced in Japan, but they presented unusual challenges nonetheless.

He closed his notebook with a snap, a thrill rushing through him. There was so much more to learn!

He was sure Geto would have liked collecting curses with such unique skills.

Thinking about his old friend, he had a melancholy look on his face.

His eyes went toward the sky.....he hoped that Geto was having a good life out there.

He did not wish to curse his friend, he only wished for him to be okay.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, revealing Amelia's smiling face. "Keitaro," she announced, "it's time for your meeting with the English sorcerers. They're eager to learn from someone with your...expertise."

The way she said it why did he feel like he was going to meet a bunch of snobs?

Keitaro raised an eyebrow. "Sorcerers, huh? Didn't think there were any in England." A flicker of interest sparked within him. Meeting other Jujutsu users, even from a different culture, could be fun.

"Well, there are," Amelia chuckled. "They operate a bit differently from you Jujutsu Kaisen folks, but their goals are similar – to maintain the balance between the human world and the cursed world."

That sounded like a lie...that was good to know.

A slow grin spread across Keitaro's face. "Alright, Amelia. Just give me a few minutes to change. "

The girl politely nodded before leaving the room.

Well dam guess it was time to prepare.

A/N....so, is everyone fine with the way the story is going, no complaint about the AI use in the latest chapters, or did y'all not even realize it was being used?
