Special Chapter III - Continuation (part 1)

The news about the learning trip with the mages corps spread rather quickly.

In just a few hours, everyone already knows about the learning trip, as well as the details.

I assumed the culprit was Veneo. That guy always had many ways to do anything illegally, as well as spreading ridiculous information without being caught.

He is such a--

Now, everyone knows that the student council will be handling the learning trip. That afternoon, the student council office in the club's building was very much crowded by the amount of students looking to interview us… or rather, me.

The people from the newspaper club came and tried asking questions, but were rejected for the entire time by the security at the door.

Sitting in the Vice President seat, I stared at the door for a long time while thinking. The outside of the door is still crowded by people waiting for answers, and they don't seem to go away any time soon.

Mid thinking, I got interrupted because a stick was poked into my left cheek. I turned to see, and found a senior grinning at me.

She was the secretary on the council, but soon she will step down and become a normal student. Even being the senior and the secretary of the student council, her position is still placed below me, and I do wonder how she felt about it.

But seeing how she was grinning as she sat down in front of me, I can tell that she simply did not mind it.

"Senior…"

"What are you thinking, Rize?"

The grin on her face made her so cute, but at the same time it made her dangerous. Hearing her asking me this, I chuckled and turned back to the door.

"Just wondering what those people will think about having this learning trip."

"Hmm, I see. Well, they will be thrilled, I bet."

"I guess that's true."

The senior chuckled and stared at me even closer. Suddenly, I felt the urge to leave the room.

"Stop lying. What are you thinking?"

S-She can read minds??

I let out a sigh and turned back to her while leaning my back to the chair. I shook my shoulder and shrugged the back of my head.

"I'm just… worried."

"Why are you worried?"

"Because I'm scared."

"And why are you scared?"

"Because I'm worried."

"God damn it!"

Oh, she exploded.

"I'm being serious… I'm trying to help out, here."

Her face calmed down again, and I can see the genuine expression of a worried face that she is wearing. I can tell she is worried about my well-being, just as much as I am worried about something. I ended up sighing again and told her the truth.

"I'm just… worried that things might go wrong."

"Hmm? And why is that?"

"Well… A learning trip… never goes perfectly as planned."

She looked like she tried to process what I meant, and she ended up understanding it a few seconds later. She came up with an idea that can easily solve world hunger.

"Then… why not come up with multiple backup plans?"

"Ah! Backup plans! Why didn't I think of that? Silly me!"

She pouted, as if she was about to explode once again.

"If you already have backup plans… if you are sooooo~ sure that you have everything planned… then why worry?"

My eyes immediately widened and my face turned to shock.

Apparently, that's what I needed the most.

That's right. Why worry?

I know that nothing ever goes well in study tours, so why not come up with multiple ways to deal with them when it happens?

I'm the master of planning, second only to Hod the ice king. Who needs worrying, anyway?

Suddenly my expression brightens up as a wide arrogant smile slowly forms on my beautiful face. Seeing my mood change 180 degrees, the senior became scared.

"Are you… okay?"

I didn't reply to her question, and I simply stood up from my chair. I turned towards the door, and began approaching the security by the door. The two boys noticed me approaching, and were quite confused when I opened the door.

As soon as the door was opened, I was met with six students wanting answers. Every single one of them is holding a paper and a writing tool, as well as a recording crystal to record my voice. They all immediately stood up when they saw me at the door and asked me questions.

I lifted my left palm towards them, telling them to calm down.

"I will answer your questions, but don't be too excited. After all, anyone could get killed!"

.

Today is the beginning of the weekend, a Saturday.

I guess that's why Julius was able to come to the academy, because he too was having a weekend off from work.

Weekend means club work and other extra activities. No class or lessons are held on the weekends.

But for me, weekends are just the same as every other day.

On the training mountain, I have my own spot where I can train there in silence by myself. For the entire evening, I spent my time there while meditating, enjoying the cold air and the sorrowful night.

I spent so much time thinking, that my brain felt like it was exploding. Thanks to meditating, I no longer feel that headache.

After a whole hour of silence, I stopped meditating and stared at the giant moon in front of me. At this time of the year, the moon is very big.

Or… was it just this world's weirdness? I don't recall having a giant moon in September.

Whatever. All I know is that the skies are very clear, and I can see the stars very clearly. This kind of sky simply does not exist in my world, and I want to treasure this moment as much as I can.

Meditating alone here really does hit me hard of how single I am. Not only am I in the body of a female, I also do not have anyone that I can lean on, like a girlfriend.

Damn… this hurts.

I stood up from the tip that I was sitting on, and stared at the ground below me.

Maybe… I should get a girlfriend…

I leaped away, and began flying out from the mountains. I went back to the academy, and returned to my dorm room to rest.

The next day is when I act.

Very early in the morning, I went to Veneo's office for some discussion. According to him, I will have to get permission from all the heads of the seven great families of Xyphon to be able to create the trip event. Julius mentioned this too yesterday. He is also one of the heads of the seven great families, so I guess that leaves only six for me.

"Why don't you find the students in the academy who are the heirs to the seven great families? Your best friend, Jericho. She is also one, you know?"

"I am considering it. Thanks for your idea."

After asking for the details about the seven families, I left Veneo's office with a full list of the details that I needed. Afterwards, I spent quite some time looking for Jericho, and finally found her training at the training grounds.

Unlike most people, Jericho doesn't spend that much time doing clubs or work. She likes practice more than anyone, and every weekend, she always practices at the training grounds.

She detected my energy arriving on the mountain, and quickly stopped her training. When I landed, she walked towards me.
