"No more council business? I heard you went to the headmaster's office."
"I was actually from there. Want some apple juice?"
I took out a cup of apple juice from my space ring and handed it to Jericho. While she was drinking, I looked around to look for anyone.
"You're alone?"
"Manda said she got some business… probably smooching with her cute junior."
"They haven't started dating already?"
"Who cares… Knowing Manda, that's probably unlikely."
Jericho sat on the ground to rest a little bit. Judging from the surroundings, it doesn't look like she was doing anything destructive.
"So? Why are you here?"
She asked me, and I turned my confused expression at her. She must have known that something was up from me being here.
She is… quite attentive.
Maybe…
I sat down next to her, and I stared in the same direction she was staring. Jericho simply stared at the side of my face right next to me with a very annoyed expression.
"Can you not sit next to me like that? You reeks."
"Say you with all the sweat!"
Jericho wasted no time and used her left hand to push me aside. I used my hand to stop myself from rolling on the ground, and stood back up angrily.
Okay… maybe not her.
I chuckled and turned my gaze back at her. It's time to get back to business.
"Are you close with your parents?"
"Why so sudden?"
"Just asking, who knows if you had a fight with your family or something."
"No. Not at all. Why?"
"I want to ask for your help, then."
I explained to her about my request, and she understood them rather quickly. She pondered for a while and finished her apple juice.
She threw the cup away, and I stared at the cup for a while before looking back at her.
"Sure thing. I'll send them a letter to request. They are quite easy-going, so they will probably agree rather quickly."
"I see. Thank you, then."
I turned around, ready to leave. Seeing me about to leave, Jericho became confused.
"Was that it?"
"Y-Yeah… I planned to visit all the families today while it's still the weekend."
"Damn. Quick on moving, huh?"
"I'm hoping to get someone with me, but going alone will be much faster. I am in a race, after all."
"All right, then. Good luck."
I waved my hand at Jericho and flew away. She continued her practice there by herself.
My mind then remembered the apple juice cup that she threw away. Ah, whatever, I'll clean that up later.
After returning to the academy, I stopped by my dorm room and wore my academy jacket as well as my student council armband. Once I was ready, I headed out to visit the houses.
The first house I will be visiting is the House of Fire, Hugo family.
Veneo wrote down the address for me, and it was rather easy to spot. The house was just decorated in flames, as if telling everyone that this house is theirs.
The house of fire… literally the house's roof is on fire.
The guards saw the academy jacket I am wearing, as well as the student council armband on my left hand. They allowed me to enter, and I was met with the butlers.
"I'm here to meet the family head, if possible."
"I'm sorry, young madam… but you will have to make an appointment first before meeting the family head."
"Then just a message is fine."
The butler ended up receiving the message instead of the family head. I was hoping to meet the family head instead of the butler, but it looks like he wasn't home.
After relaying the letter to the butler, I left and went to the next house.
The house of light, the Dealan family.
Oh? If I'm not wrong, it's that senior's house.
I arrived outside the pure white mansion, and was immediately approached by the guards. The guards saw my academy uniform and armband, but they weren't as friendly as the first.
"Introduce yourself."
"Rize Violet. Student council vice president of the magic academy."
"S-Student… vice?"
"I wish to see the head of the Dealan family."
The guards allowed me to enter, since they had no idea how to deal with me. Right after I entered, I was expecting to see the butler by the door. But instead, I saw quite a few individuals on the front yard's gazebo.
The three saw me entering the gate, and they quickly recognized me. After all, I too recognized them.
"S-Seniors…"
"Oh? It's her!"
The three of them quickly ran to me, and I quickly bowed at them. I stared at their faces one by one, and they looked quite okay for ladies who are two years older than me.
The middle, I remembered her name. Aloona Dealan, the best seed from the third year during my first year. She has graduated now, and I'm not sure what she has done after graduation.
She stared at the armband on my left hand, and looked quite surprised.
"Woah! I did hear you became the vice president… How are things going at the academy?"
"So far, pretty okay. We had many projects held, I'm sure you have heard of them."
"I did hear! You guys made the academy expo to show the world about the academy! That was a brilliant idea, indeed."
"Thank you. That was… our idea."
I can't tell her it was my idea… that will just be very self-centered of me.
"So? What's your business here?"
The right, Jennis Dealan. She was always the most toxic one out of the three, and she just asked coldly at me.
The other two stared at her angrily, which caught her surprised. I simply chuckled seeing how the three are acting and told them about my business for coming here.
"I see… I guess you could relay a message for something like that."
The left, Elvin Dealan, said while pondering. I don't have much of an impression of her, aside from the fact that she is always sticking with Aloona.
They look like sisters, but I'm not sure what their real relation is. Maybe cousins? Because they don't look like twins or triplets.
"But really… an internship at the mage corps… I also want something like that…"
"Looks like we graduated too early, huh?"
Aloona and Jennis added in with their comments, and I can't help but chuckle. For them who already graduated, they didn't get a chance to taste my ideas as the council vice president. A bit unlucky for them, huh?
I took out the letter that I had made for the Dealan family head and handed it to Aloona. She took the letter and stared at it for a few seconds.
"I'll relay this to father, don't worry."
"Thank you. Tell him to reply to the academy's headmaster."
I waved my hand at them, and immediately flew away again.
Now… onto the next house… and the next… and the next.
Honestly, this is very boring. But it ended up being very quick since I am going alone. Maybe if I went with someone else that also had flight, like Jericho or Arfius… but I'd rather not.

.
.
A bright room, mostly bright because of the leaking sunlight that came from the window and shining past the white curtains.
A long messy light blue hair was laid on the pillow, while the head was staring towards the fancy decorated ceiling. Her left foot was placed above her right knee, and her fingers are being cupped above her stomach.
Her eyes are half opened, and she stayed silent as she stared at the ceiling.
The door to her room was knocked, and it was opened the next second. An old maid entered her room, and learned of the situation. She noticed that the girl was simply laying down on her bed while being lazy, so she let out a sigh.
"Lady Valencia… It's time for lunch."
The old maid said to the young lady, but she closed her eyes while replying.
"I'll eat later. I'm not hungry."
The girl answered coldly, but the old maid was not disappointed. Instead, she bowed and turned around to leave the room.
The door to the room was closed, and once again she felt alone.
KRUUKKK!!!
That voice came from her stomach. She has been holding it with both her hands for the entire time, but it ended up voicing out anyway.
"I'm very hungry…"
She muttered silently, but she cannot allow herself to be defeated by her hunger.
She is… fighting the hunger.
