Chapter CLIX - Forging (part 2)

"I heard you got some Nychromium?"

The old dwarf asked me with his heavy voice, and I nodded.

"Yes. I have it in my space ring."

"I see. And you want me to forge you a weapon out of Nychromium?"

"... Yes. But can you do that?"

"Of course I can! You think I'm some third-rate blacksmith!? I'm the damn--Mmph!!"

The dwarf quickly got his mouth covered by the lady.

"Master!!"

"Bah, sorry… Lost control."

The dwarf pushed the lady's hand away, and he turned his gaze back to me with a serious face.

"So you want me to forge you a Nychromium, eh? Well, let me tell you something. I can and know exactly how to forge using that silly material!!

However, I can't because I don't have the necessary tools."

"T-Tools?"

The lady pushed the dwarf back while she herself explained it.

"Nychromium is the world's strongest metal. The only thing that can rival it is the Nightshade crystal, the legendary crystal that was made to create the god of war's sword, if you have heard."

"I have heard... yes. This metal is really that powerful?"

The lady nodded, and continued explaining it instead of the dwarf.

"Not only does it enhance magic, it is also the sturdiest amongst all the materials. Not a simple flame can be used to forge it due to its super high melting point. Which is why forging a weapon using it won't be that easy."

"I-I see... So can you forge it?"

I turned to the dwarf and he nodded, but shook his head almost at the same time. Which one is it!?

"I know how to make it. I am one of the people who knows how to, anyways. But, I just don't have the necessary tools and items to forge it."

"Then... What can I do to help you?"

"Well you can start by finding a King tier fire mage!"

The dwarf suddenly barked. He knows that a King tier fire magician is rare, and it will be difficult finding one.

But what he didn't know was that he was talking with one.

I let out a cough and covered my mouth with my right hand, and my left hand was lifted, and a blue fireball was formed on top of my palms.

Seeing that the blue flames just so casually formed on my hand made the dwarf nearly bite his tongue.

"Th-That's... You're a King tier fire mage??"

"No. I'm an Emperor tier."

I changed the blue flames into a dark purple flame, and the two of them turned into insane shock immediately.

"Y-You are... Who are you!??"

"I am just a Green ranked adventurer, looking for a god damn weapon. Now, can you help me forge a weapon or not?"

The dwarf looked really taken aback, but he composed himself quickly and nodded.

"I will forge it… but we need two more magic to help us. First, we need an earth magician. And since I am one myself, we won't need to find anyone else. And second, we need a shadow magician. The cooking pot needs to be something that doesn't get melted from heat. So-"

I coughed and lifted my hand again to form a shadow knife on my hand. The dwarf nearly coughed blood the moment he saw how easy the shadow knife formed on my hand.

"You are a dual magician!?"

"Yep. Emperor tier fire magic and Knight tier shadow magic."

"K-Knight tier!?"

"Can we focus? I need a weapon so badly."

I asked the dwarf seriously, and he coughed for the last time. He gave it some more thought, and I'm sure he is pretty much confused after seeing me.

He then opened his eyes again and continued.

"T-Then… we just need the materials."

"I have it. It's in my ring."

"Show me."

"Err..."

After explaining to them about the size, we began moving outside and I summoned the seven meters long giant blade in the middle of the road. Everyone watching quickly turned into shock seeing a giant blade appear out of thin air, but then it got retracted back into my ring once the dwarf confirmed its material.

"Yep. It's Nychromium."

He said once we are back inside. The look on his face is definitely one of a kind, because he is looking rather tired at the situation.

Well… not everyday a red haired female with Emperor tier fire magic and Knight tier shadow magic suddenly comes to your store. Bringing a ten ton Nychromium greatsword, as well. Definitely a rare occurrence.

"Then what else do you need?"

"That's all of it… surprisingly. Bah, it's not the end of the world, right"

He is definitely surprised.

"So? Tell me, what kind of weapon do you want? Sword? Shield?"

I began describing to him what kind of weapon that I wanted. A close ranged weapon that specializes in a much further slash, but incapable of doing a stab. A long blade that can cut things from far away, and a long stick which can be held with both hands.

A scythe.

"A scythe, huh? No one ever requested me to make a scythe."

"A scythe is perfect for killing larger monsters. I liked it."

"What kind of monsters are you hunting anyways??"

"... Hmm… maybe dragons?"

"Dragons!?"

I nodded at him, but he could only let out a sigh.

The dwarf then turned to the lady and spoke some words with her while I looked around the room for some things.

After looking around, I can tell that the scabbard that I owned is much better than the one he is selling. After all, that scabbard was looted from a goblin king in a dungeon. It's possible that scabbard was actually forged from an ancient blacksmith from ancient times.

I wonder how he will react if I show him that scabbard… but then again, I might get murdered for putting a half snapped sword inside it. So I shielded that thought, also because the dwarf seemed to be done discussing.

"Lady. Come here."

The dwarf called me while I was looking at the armour stands.

"I have decided to forge for you, but I need you to come with me."

That's for sure. He needs all those mage capabilities like the King tier fire magic and the shadow magic, so it makes sense if I have to help out for the forging process.

"Sure. Where are we going?"

"A little further away from the city. The forging process can be rough, so a place far from people is necessary."

"I'm up for anything. Are we going now? Do you want to just fly there, or...?"

"F-Fly?"

The dwarf looked confused, but I grinned.
