After saying that line, the master glared at me with a really serious look.
I had no idea what to say, until he grinned.
"But, maybe I'll talk about that topic when everyone is available. For now, you can go."
He turned to the left and waved his hand. His daughter then jumped to his lap, and he grabbed her.
I turned around and left his room. My expression can be seen as a little bit annoyed.
He is… hiding something.
I decided to ignore it for now and left to grab a mission.
I arrived on the mission board and found a Blue ranked mission about killing a pack of Green ranked monsters, which should be a fairly quick mission for me.
I took it and gave the mission paper to the new receptionist girl at the front desk, and she gave me the mission details scroll.
"You are doing this alone?"
"Yeah. It will be a quick mission."
She turned to Keila, and Keila simply lifted her shoulders.
"If she says so, it will be so."
Keila said to the new receptionist lady. The new girl looked hesitant, but she gave me the details scroll anyways.
"Thanks."
I took the details scroll and left the Office. Once I'm outside, I opened my wings and flew at high speed towards the mission location. Everyone on that road got slightly startled.
I arrived at the location after ten minutes of flying. I searched the forest for the location of the monsters, and I found it.
It's a bunch of mutant bugs. I… Hated those.
Burn it with fire, they said…
Five minutes later, the bugs got completely charred to coal as their giant tree home burned to the ground. I put off the fire from spreading into a forest fire by pulling away the flames from the leaves and trunks.
After putting the fire out, I grabbed the burned corpse of the queen bug and placed it inside my second space ring. Then I headed back to the kingdom, all in less than ten minutes.
"What? Did you forget something?"
The new girl on the receptionist desk asked me right after I arrived, but I immediately gave her the mission scroll.
"It's done."
"W-What??"
She looked surprised. Keila herself was a little shocked. I knew they were going to be surprised, since it really was just five minutes ago that I came and grabbed the mission.
So, I brought them a gift.
"I have the dead corpse from the queen bug, do you want to see?"
"B-But, a queen is at least a Blue ranked…"
"Yes, and I just easily burnt it. I also have the corpse with me. Do you want to see it?"
The girl looked very shocked, but she nodded. The two of us went outside and I spawned the giant corpse of the queen bug in the road from my space ring.
The body is too big, plus it's charred, so the ground might get dirty. So I spawned it outside.
I used the ring that Valon gave me, after I transferred all of the contents to my main ring. Because putting a dead corpse of a bug alongside money is only going to turn out bad, since the items inside are placed in the same space.
"This is… real. This is genuine."
She studied the dead corpse while everyone else glared at us with shock. We are taking the attention of everyone on the road.
"Okay. I have confirmed… But do you have proof that you have done the mission? All the other bugs could still be alive."
"Well if the queen is dead, would the bugs be able to stay alive?"
"T-That's…"
She knew that it's real, but she refused to believe it. She decided to turn back to Keila and asked, but Keila shook her shoulder again.
"Like I said. If she says so, then it will be so. I told you, didn't I? She is more powerful than a White ranked."
"Oh, so that's what you've been telling her, Keila?"
"I'm sorry, am I lying?"
I let out a sigh, and the new girl looked even more confused. She decided to follow anyway and gave me my payment.
That's an easy eight hundred Jules. I'll take it.
After that, I thanked Keila and the new girl, and then left the Office. The sun had gone down, and I felt quite hungry. So I ate at Hod's place, ordering a barbeque chicken and an ice cream. Now that I am tasting food from my world, my life feels more and more complete.
Maybe I'll teach Hod all the menus… No, that can destroy this kingdom's food economy.
After eating, me and Hod discussed the new house that I am buying. He was quite shocked after hearing the price, but I told him this house was not so simple.
He understood, but still let out a sigh from how expensive it was.
"That amount of money equals two years of me working here…"
"Gek!?"
How much pay does this guy get from his own mom…?
The next day, I told everyone through the communication crystal that I will be extending my day off for around three days because I wish to focus on setting up my house.
Everyone else can do a mission if they want to, I don't really care.
Rather towards noon, I went to the house to plan some stuff on paper. The housing agency already unlocked the doors and gates, and since I'm going to get a new door and lock anyway, they didn't have to give any of the keys that they owned.
After that, I went to the furniture shop and bought quite a ton of furniture for the house. I chose the furniture based on my plans, that way I won't buy any pointless extra chair or table.
I also went to see the workers' shop that the furniture store suggested to me, and I will have them turn my house to the way I wanted it.
First thing on my mind is the balcony. I turned the extra space on the second floor into an extension of the balcony. I also created a little extra space on the balcony by adding more ground to the outer part.
This next part is quite difficult to explain to the workers, but they managed to get it. They added one more meter of width to the balcony's floor as an extra ground to make it wider, and also put glass as the railings.
They were very confused as to what kind of people would put glass as railings, but they have never gone to a mall before. Above the glass is the railing's holder which is made out of wood.
The railings inside the house are still made of wood, and I don't want to change that. So the balcony's railings are following the theme, but with a little change with the glass.
I also changed the first floor's bedroom furthest from the stair into an empty room. I am planning to turn that room into either a storage or library room, while the other bedrooms that I won't be using are for guest bedrooms, just in case I need to have people sleep over.
I had the workers make me a perfect kitchen, as well as making a better fireplace in the living room. There won't be any guest room because of the layout of the house that doesn't have any lobbies, except for this fireplace room. And since I'm turning it into a chilling room, the future guests will just have to sit down here.
The backyard will also undergo some changes. After a long consideration (not really), I will make the backyard into a pool. As for whether it is a swimming pool or a fish habitat, I am still thinking about it.
Whatever, it can be either one anyway. I told the workers to make this a giant square hole for the pool, and they understood after I told them it's going to be filled with water.
They told me it will be done in four days, but I paid them extra and they will do it in two.
