Chapter CLXVII - Chilling (part 1)

"Huh?? You learned it at the academy??"

Barret, Lyona, and Eva were specifically confused as to how I have shadow magic all of the sudden. They asked me while we were still eating, and I explained to them that I learned it at the academy, and it is now a Knight tier.

"Damn... If I knew the academy was that good, I would have gone there..."

Lyona the noble mutters while the commoners in the room cringed. Entering the academy is not exactly cheap, unless you have an Office's recommendation letter or something.

*Laughs in free of any payment* Muahahaha!!

The adventurers are now talking with each other, so I used this chance to talk with Eva. I managed to get closer to her, and she noticed me coming to her.

"I can see that your hair is exceptionally long now."

"I can see that you have yet become more monstrous..."

"I have my bad moments."

Eva and I laugh while Lyona is talking with Emily and Fran. Now that it is just the two of us, I can finally ask her about the healing.

"So, Eva. How are your days going? With the whole one arm situation."

Eva turned to see her right arm, but she let out a sigh.

"Honestly, I don't feel any problems with it anymore. I stopped being a knight, and got hired by Lyona's family as her personal guardian. But never once I felt like I am her guardian. I have become more like her sister."

"Indeed you have... Ah, if I were to say, there is a way to heal your hand, would you take it?"

Eva turned to me with an unbelieving expression.

"You are lying."

"You see that guy? He was legless just yesterday. Hey Hod! How is your leg doing!?"

I pointed at Hod and called him from this side of the room. Hod, who is talking with the other boys, quickly lifted his head up and answered.

"It's doing great! Why?!"

"Just asking!"

Hod returned to his conversation while I continued with Eva.

"So you're saying there's a way to regrow my hand?"

"Yep. And I can do it right now."

"Y-You... Don't tell me, Emperor tier healing magic!?"

"Yep. I can see that you also did research on how to regrow your arm. Meaning that you actually want it back."

"I... do want it back. Any normal person would."

I laughed at how stupid my sentence were.

"So would you like it back?"

"Y-Yes! Very much!"

"Right now, or...?"

"If you can do it now, then yes."

I turned to the others, and realized that they are still busy talking with each other. I decided to head towards the bathroom, and Eva followed behind me.

"Welcome to my bathroom... Which is the sentence I should be saying to the right person."

I laughed at the sentence, but Eva was too serious to joke around, so I turned serious as well.

"Sit down on the floor, and if you have a cloth, you might want to bite on it. This might get… really painful."

Eva followed my command and she sat down on the cold bathroom floor while leaning her back on the wall. She put a piece of cloth from her ring into her mouth.

I placed the cuffs around her just like what I did with Hod. But before I continued, I turned to her one last time.

"You ready?"

She nodded slightly from her head. Then I locked her forehead so it doesn't bob around.

I took out a short knife from my ring and held it carefully with my right hand. I slice open the edge of her hand, and blood spills out really fast.

"Hmmmph!!"

Eva screamed under the cloth, but it's not that loud. She is strong, unlike Hod. 

I quickly casted the healing magic and it formed into a hand really quick. Now that I have used it on a human body once, I know the ways to quicken the process. In the end, the process took less than five minutes, and her hand finally finished forming.

I took down the cuffs on her body and she lifted her hand and studied it. Her eyes glared at me while her face was showing how tired she was.

"That was painful..."

"Told you."

She looked at her right hand and started moving her fingers. There is no hair, and the hand looked really pale compared to her nearly tan skin. Probably because it has not seen the sun while training, which is exactly what happened to her whole body.

"It's really pale… But yeah, it does feel like my old hand."

"Try moving it around more before grabbing some stuff. Usually one tends to forget how to use their limb after they lost it for too long."

She and I stood up and she tried moving the arm around. Her fingers moved beautifully while the small nails on it sparkled when the moonlight from the window touched it.

As for the blood, I can just clean it up. The reason why we did it in the bathroom is so that we can just wash away the blood with water into the hole.

But before I could do that, the door got knocked.

"Captain, are you in there?"

Emily's voice came from outside. I opened the door and her face was staring at me really close.

"The steak was delicious! Can I have more!?"

"E-Emily... That steak can make you fat..."

"I don't care, I want more! You still have more, right?"

"W-Well, I do..."

I turned to face Eva behind me, and she is approaching the door right now.

"I'll clean this up."

"Heheh. Alright, Eva. The mop is hanged right there if you need it."

I pointed at the mop hanging on the rack under the stairs, and Eva understood.

After that, me and Emily ran to the kitchen like two hungry kids looking for candy. Aside from Emily, Fran and Barett also want seconds, while everyone is already full. The ones not having seconds looked really confused as to what kind of food monsters actually wanted seconds of those meat.

I grilled more pieces of steaks and filled the plates. I also made more tea and coffee for everybody using a giant glass for everyone to pour themselves.

Eva is busying herself while training her new arm with the mop, as she mops the bathroom floor filled with her own blood. Luckily nobody else wanted to use the bathroom, so she can do the work without getting rushed.

After she was done, everyone was really shocked seeing her new arm, but she simply grinned and told everyone I healed her in the bathroom just now.

Everyone can only facepalm while remembering how insane I am. They all knew that the healing magic is different from other magic, and the higher the tier will cost more to cast it than the lower tiers. 

For me to just casually use it so often simply inhumane to think about.

Eva finished cleaning the bathroom and joined everyone on the topic. Lyona introduces herself better to everyone, and so does Eva. The adventurers also introduced themselves to the knight and noble present.

Lyona felt a little bad feeling that she is a noble by herself, but Fran noticed it.

"Hey, I'm a noble myself. Fran Kaleid Mazino, third daughter of the queen's sister."

"O-Oh!? You are the Swordsaint!? I have heard about you so many times!!"

Lyona was quite the fangirl towards Fran, and she just realized that she is talking with the great Swordsaint the whole time. She suddenly turned to me, who was lying down sideways on the sofa.

"Rize! You never told me she is the Swordsaint!"

"Doesn't seem to cross my mind."

"How did you even meet her…?"

Hearing that question, Fran and I turned at each other, and then grinned.

"Well, we both first met when we were dealing with a Blue ranked dungeon a long time ago, and then I helped her get her sword back.-"

"Thanks for that, by the way."

"-You are always welcome. Then the two of us sparred at the Yellow ranked dungeon, and I lost. And then I returned from the academy and joined her squad. She suddenly removed her leadership and gave me the captain role."

The other adventurers were shocked... For multiple reasons.

"W-Wait, you and Fran sparred? When?"

Cane asked first. He must have forgotten during the Yellow ranked dungeon.

"During the evening at the Yellow ranked dungeon. Weren't you there?"

"He must be too busy jacking off."

"Hey! That's not a very ladylike thing to say!"

Cane quickly said, but Fran's words were already taking damage as the boys behind Cane started chuckling silently.

"That did not happen!"

I ignored Cane and turned back to Lyona.

"Anyways, I am now on the same squad as her."

"E-Even though she is the Swordsaint... And you are the captain?"

"Yeah, how did that happen?"

This time Hod asked as well. I simply lifted my glass of tea and drank from it as Cane and Fran answered.

"We just want her to be one. She is good at giving orders and making decisions."

"Yeah, and she is already stronger and more experienced than us."

Hearing that made everyone turn not believing, but I finished my chugging and waved my hand.

"Emperor rank fire magic, Knight rank shadow magic. Also the Emperor tier healing magic. Would you guys be surprised if I am stronger than the demon king?"

"""Yes."""

"Wow, okay."
