Chapter 8: Twisted
Isa, Nino and Tito
“Sisters, come on, let's go, it seems he fell for a stronger mermaid.” Nino assumed…
“I can't wrap my head around it, honestly, this dude is damn cute. I have never been this engrossed in a human before,” Isa confessed.
“Honestly, girls, I don't know but to be candid, there's this strange force and aura he possesses, it's just too contagious.” Tito revealed, still deeply engrossed in the young man.
“We rarely fall for humans, but I guess this one is definitely going to paint a different picture honestly.” Tito added.
“I mean he won't be like the rest. Nah, he can't, I have this conviction in me.” Nino pressed further, vehemently standing firm to her words.
Isa gave a bombastic collating side eye to both of them…
“Seems like the three of us are beginning to hit on one man?” Isa asked.
There was a minute's silence as both other sisters just passed with a naive, innocent look without uttering a word.
“Girls….. Wow, see the way the three of us are just completely lost in a human…..”
“This is ridiculous, how can these mermaid sisters fall in love at the same time,” Isa teased as she laughed softly, trying to make both speak.
Nino turned to Isa like a timid Barbie. “ Oh sis, at this point, I think I'm obsessed with him already.”
Nino confessed..
“Same here….”
Tito echoed frantically ….
“Sisters….. You both must be kidding, right?” Isa asked both sisters …
They chorused…
“I'm damn serious and see I'm ready to make my first move.” Both open us ….
Playfully, Isa replied…
“ Nevermind girls, I was just teasing you both. In fact, for me, I'm already swimming in the ocean of love and excitement towards him.”
“I love him dearly, he is soft and gentle.” She confessed.
Tito and Nino smiled warmly, and they swam back to the ocean.
AT THE OCEANS….
Felicia and Esther
Both partners in crime are seen together in a secluded area on the Serene Ocean.
“ I saw the way you lost your focus because of a mere human.” Esther lashes out at Felicia, her face oozing out smoke of anger.
Felicia is taken aback as age withdraws back a little.
“ Sorry, I don't understand what you're talking about.” Felicia replied, giving a naive, innocent look, completely clueless about the whole thing.
“Don't you dare lie to me, I gave you a simple task to execute, and you went there to start falling in love with a human.” She fired back with her eyes open wide, looking all roared up.
“Esther… you can't say this….which human are you talking about?”
“Oh! You're still trying to pretend right, something I saw you red-handed, I gave you an instruction to execute, and you screwed up.”
Esther bubbled in extreme anger as she wouldn't even let Felicia alter a word.
“ You seem to forget what you are here for, let me quickly remind you….
You're here to spy and give me information I could use to dethrone Bianca and take back my place.” Esther lamented.
“I'm trying my best.”
Felicia replied…
“No you aren't okay…
You're being blinded by love, I pray that love doesn't expose your dirty secrets.” She pressed on…
“ Please leave my sight, we will talk tomorrow, you just spoiled my mood.” Esther commanded vehemently as both immediately departed…
Esther soliloquizes as she swims back to her abode…
“Let it not be that Felicia is also hitting on Bruno because she shouldn't even dare because I have my ears on him.
“With my powers, someday, I will give him tails to come down to the ocean and be with me…”
She smiled, wearing a sinister look…
“Once all my plans go smoothly, he will be mine and mine alone.”
She muttered these words as they penetrated deep down into her minds with her heart sealing it completely.
VASHTI’S APARTMENT.
Vashti is seen resting on a couch, and a few minutes later, her phone beeps…
“That must be a message.” She voiced out softly as she reached out for her phone.
“Wow!!!.... Perfect…this is good…
In fact, I need to give him a call.”
She said as an extreme smile flooded her face.
“My video editor really knows his onion, just take a look at how he edited the whole thing. It's just so perfect.”
Vashti said as she soliloquized to herself.
She stands up from her seat as age paced to and fro…
“With these pictures and video clips, Bruno will have no choice but to say Yes to me, he will beg me …..”
Vashti chuckled, staring at the mirror with a glass of red wine in her right hand, celebrating her little victory.
“Bruno will be mine and mine alone. I will take over his company as his wife.”
She laughed sinisterly, dramatically flirted with her hair and head like a princess in pageantry.
“ And as for my innocent little friend-Kim, I'm sorry, okay, but Bruno-your soon-to-be husband is just too cute for you alone to handle.”
“ I feel he needs two women.” She said, smiling all to herself as she sipped her wine softly.
She paced to and fro again and came to a complete halt with either hand on her chin.
“Alright Vashti, you have the videos and clips, what next?”
An inner voice whispers from the shadows, penetrating deep down inside her mind.
“Hmm, that's a good question.”
She accepted, scrupulously thinking about what her move would be. She's quiet, but in a short while- an idea rushes in.
“I will quickly make another move to see Bruno again, then if he behaves rude towards me, then I will quickly forward this to Kim…”
“Yes I will…..so he should better not push me.”
“And seeing that Kim will soon be returning , I have to really act fast before it's too late already.”
She muttered as she drank her wine voraciously and strutted her way to her car to go see Bruno.
