Chapter 10: Clash
"Come over, Sis.
He's awake…”
Nino alerted her other sisters.
It was Bruno, he woke up feeling as though he was in another man's land.”
He was unable to alter a word as he was completely in their custody.
The three mermaid sisters moved closer to him, they smiled excitedly as great joy ravaged their hearts…

CARL'S Point of View.
“How do you expect me to calm down when my only son isn't back yet since last night? Look at the time. It's already half past seven in the morning.”
Carl complained to every soul in the mansion as intense thoughts bubbled in her heart, backed up with extreme anxiety.
She had never been this worried before. She was seen pacing to and fro like a roaring lioness, looking extremely troubled, so many thoughts went across her head. She called out everyone, including Vera, his personal assistant, and every other person.
Everyone was clueless about the whole thing, as no one knew Bruno's whereabouts. Carl decides to involve the police, so they can start a thorough search and investigation concerning the issue at hand.
“You should leave my sight this minute. I can't believe all of you are this incompetent, most especially you-Vera.” Carl yelled, with her chest bubbling in anger. You could literally see the thick fumes of smoke emitting from her voice. She really wasn't really going to lose Bruno for any reason.
Kim, on the other hand, quickly rose up from her sick bed after shouting at the doctors to let her go because she felt she was fine now…
“Come here nurse, take this drip out of me immediately, I'm fine, I need to speak to my mom.” Kim instructed, her voice hard and strong, she could strangle a baby; the intensity of her rage was just enough to boil an egg.
“Ma'am, I think you should take it easy on yourself, you're hurting yourself please, I will go inform the doctor okay…” One of the nurses voiced out in a quest to calm her nerves a little.
“Come here, before you go, get me my cell phone over there, I need to make an important call, ... .ouch! My back hurts…” Kim demanded.
“You see, ma'am, your back hasn't healed completely, you really have to calm down. I promise I will make sure I provide you with everything you need. Okay…”. The nurse persisted, but Kim kept paying deaf ears.
She quickly grabbed her phone as she dialed her mom's number - Belinda.
“Mom… you won't believe what I'm about to tell you, but first I want you to immediately book a flight for me because I'm returning home first thing tomorrow morning or should I do it myself.” Kim said to her mom, almost shouting at the top of her voice.
“My daughter, you have to calm down and talk to me. Stop making me scared already. I only want to hear good news that you are finally okay, and you will be coming back to get married to Bruno.” Belinda responded with a trembling heart and hands shaking furiously on the phone.
“ Mom… not any longer. I don't think I can continue with a cheat.”
Kim revealed.
“I don't understand what you mean by that. In fact, as I'm talking to you now, Bruno is nowhere to be found.”
Belinda said, completely engrossed, waiting to hear what her daughter had to say.
“Mom, you wouldn't believe Bruno is not only cheating with me, but the lady in question keeps threatening me that she's even pregnant with Bruno.”
“WHAT!!! Oh my goodness! Pregnant…
Are you really sure about this, Kim? Wow! This is totally not acceptable, I can't allow this.” Belinda flamed up looking all roared up already.
“You know what, I will send you the tickets.
I guess you are strong now. First thing tomorrow morning you are coming back immediately. Let's sort this out.” Belinda assured her daughter, trying to salvage the situation.
“Alright mom, I will be waiting.”
“Please Kim, don't think about it too much, okay, I will handle it and please should there be anything again. Do not hesitate to call me okay.”
Belinda instructed, seeming so concerned about her daughter's health and personal life.
Both hang up…..

Bruno sneezes intensely as the three mermaid sisters surround him like a treasure.
“Where are mine?, he asked softly.”
All he could see was water looming over the entire ocean. For him, he couldn't really feel his physical flesh, as the spirit of the oceans provided him with just enough oxygen to sustain him in the ocean.
Nino replied…
“Don't be scared, okay… you're in Serenes, inside the Oceans.”
“What!... How did I get in here?”
He asked curiously as he quietly surveyed the entire ocean, trying to get a clue or something.
Tito replied…
“Bruno, you have to calm down, okay, just like Nino said, you're fine with us. As you can see, you're now a merman you now have tails.”
“Oops!!! Oh my goodness! How was this possible?”
He asked, casting a tentative look at his new acquired tail. He tried to swim but slipped off.
“Calm down dear, you're still not really familiar with these kinds of appendages, okay…” Isa explained…
Bruno seemed quiet for a moment, then he softly asked a question.
“What about my company?”
He said, rolling his eyes, waiting for a response.
The three mermaid sisters looked at themselves and turned frantically to him, chorusing their response.
“What Company?.”
They asked, completely clueless of the whole thing.
“Oh! I bet you never knew…
I own a company, and I'm afraid they really need me now.” He said, looking so troubled already.
“Please, please, how long have I been here?” He asked…
Tito drew nearer to him and placed her hand on his back.
“Bruno… listen to me, take a deep breath, and you will be fine.”
Nino quickly cuts in….
“Sisters remember he has just five minutes left, just as the River goddess had instructed. After the speculated amount of time, his tail was slowly wearing out and by then he should be on land immediately.”
Nino reminded both of them.
Tito raised her eyebrows in complete realization.
“It's true, we have limited time already.”
Isa threw in her own statement…
“Don't panic girls, he now has the power to transform into a merman the moment he steps on the ocean, but with a time limit anyway.”
Isa explained further.
Tito acknowledged,“ you're right, Isa, so that means he could still come visit some other time.”
Bruno lowered his head in complete confusion as he raised it, looking Tito and her sisters in the eye, ready to make a request.
“Take me to Bianca.”
“What!!”
The three mermaid sisters chorused… “BIANCA….”
“Who is she?
And what business do you have with her?”
They asked, curiously waiting for a response…
Bruno stammered and shaked furiously as he tried uttering a word.
“Say something.”
Tito said, completely engrossed, seeming so nervous as she stared at her sisters restlessly.
“Please say something, tell us what we need to hear.”
Nino beckoned, almost going to tear out, her voice was beginning to sound crappy and dry.
Bruno tried to speak, but he was unable as his tails were slowly fading away.
“Girls … see his tail is slowly fading, he needs to be on the sea shore immediately.”
Isa alerted her other sisters.
Nino and Tito were still very eager to hear what Bruno had to say, as the name” BIANCA“ struck them differently.
Isa screamed….
“Girls …. Let's go, let's talk him up immediately, he can tell us later when he visits.” Isa yelled, as she was already getting scared of losing Bruno.
Slowly, Bruno was taken to the Seashore where he laid down completely wasted, soaked with water, dressed in his work clothes.
