I stared pointlessly at the wall for hours. I came to the office today and everything was just seeming useless. Vera was not even there, the company was failing, and I was worried and anxious and tired. Everything was becoming eventful. I relaxed back into my chair, reclining it a bit. I puffed off a breath.
I closed my eyes and thought. I reached blindly for a pen on my table. I opened my eyes for a bit to peer at the pen in my hand. I sighed, closing my eyes and fiddling with it.
I let my mind wander back to recent happenings; I remembered visiting Kim.
